I used Fileworld once to merge a PDF and paid around €0.60–€2 for that single service. Months later, I discovered that €49.95 had been charged to my credit card for a subscription that I never knowingly intended to purchase.

When I contacted customer support, I was told that I had signed up for a 48-hour trial that automatically renewed every four weeks unless cancelled. I genuinely never realized I was agreeing to such an expensive recurring subscription. If these terms were presented during checkout, they certainly were not clear enough for me to understand that I was committing to ongoing payments.

I requested a refund immediately after noticing the charge, but it was refused because more than 30 days had passed since I first used the service.

While the PDF tool itself may work, my experience with the subscription process was extremely disappointing. Charging nearly €50 after a one-time PDF conversion is not something I expected, and I believe the recurring subscription should have been made much more obvious before payment.

My advice to anyone considering this service: read every line of the payment page very carefully. If you only need to convert or merge a single PDF, make absolutely sure you understand whether you are also enrolling in a recurring subscription and cancel it immediately if you do not wish to continue.

I will not be using this service again.
