Well, here it goes! After years of refusing to participate in Facebook, I was finally persuaded to open an account by my son for the purpose of accessing Facebook Marketplace. My refusal to join Facebook up to this point had been based on what I had read about their invasion of privacy, sharing information with other sites, and their corporate philosophy of indoctrinating minors with their slanted views. So I researched how to open an account and then limit the personal information displayed in the profile and shared publicly and with other sites... which I did after setting up my account. To my surprise, I received a notice later in the day that my account had been suspended because it did not conform to Facebook's policies. There was no explanation as to what policies it violated but it did give me an opportunity to disagree with their decision... which I did. I was asked to send a photo of myself to clearly show my face. After doing so, my account was reinstated. But overnight, Facebook decided to suspend it again and said that I could send another photo of myself and disagree with their decision to suspend but that this was the last time I could contest their decision. I had to submit another face photo which I did. After waiting 24 hours, I received the notice that I am permanently banned from Facebook with no explanation as to why my new profile and account violates their policies. I tried to contact customer service but there is no such thing in the Facebook world. Well here's the deal, Facebook. I could kick myself for falling into the trap of opening an account with you after not having one for so many years. Hell and be damned Facebook Marketplace! I am a 71 year old retired military veteran and have no criminal record or questionable life event at all. Zukerburg and cronies, bend over and kiss my rosy pink nutsack. I am ecstatic to resume my life as a non-Facebook participant.

I have been suspended for what I do not know. I tried calling facebook support and I get India, WTF cant understand with there jibberish and they want me to go to a store and get an ebay card and give them the number, Do I look stupid? Thats the only way they can unlock my account? How about speaking to someone in the US that I can understand and not trying to scam me. I want to know why I was suspended and let a real person explain to me. I cant open anything when i try to sign on except for a message saying my account is shut down, Yes I am pissed

I enjoy the posts and groups on Facebook. I really like the memes and reels. It's very entertaining.
But, I don't like their so called community standards. They are unreasonable and step all over our fundamental rights of freedom of speech. They get more and more restrictive in a selective way. Banning and bleeping out everyday words as they see fit. As well as restricting accounts if you offend them.
Who's community standards? Opinions are usually offensive to someone who doesn't agree, that doesn't mean they should be stifled or removed. Facebook doesn't have the right to preach on what's moral or what's offensive because that's just someone's opinion.
And when you are accused of violating their community standards, you get no recourse. No reason why, no chance to defend yourself or give any feedback on the issue.
I feel they overstep their authority and their community standards is garbage.

Facebook is the largest racist platform on the internet. And their bull$#*! little $#*!es who block everyone for stupid $#*!, not to mention I get blocked for 30 days over a SCREEN SHOT of a porn ad they allowed to be posted, but since it was a SALES ad it was OK for the naked girl holding some guys junk with it inches from her mouth, I reported it twice in one day, and they did nothing, so I reposted the ad and their COMMUNITY STANDARDS bans me for 30 days.
