I ordered about $75 worth of fur from them and they sent it to me in the wrong color. I know they sent it to me in the wrong color because I ordered a swatch of it beforehand and it was much much darker than what i received, what I paid the $75 for was the exact same fur but pure white and not brown like i wanted, I decided I couldn't use it and emailed them about a return, they told me to specify what I wanted to return so i did, and I got no response. I sent again. No response. I asked if I could make a return, they told me to specify what I wanted to return, I said what I wanted to return, no response. Every time I actually emailed them telling them my item # and my order # they just straight up stopped replying. I sent them emails every single day, the exact same one for 10 days straight saying specifically what I wanted to return and I got no response. They were literally just ignoring me because they responded extremely quickly when I asked if I could make a return but said absolutely nothing when I specified what it was I was returning. Absolutely garbage customer service I've heard of people getting good out of it, the fur was really nice but I think the odds of you actually getting anything is about 50/50. Pray they get yours right if you ordered already.
When I started ordering regularly from fabric about June of last year, I had my orders pend probably 3/5 times and shipping was iffy. Now, every order I get ships within 1 or 2 days and I haven't had a problem since. The one time I received a wrong fabric ( Muslin instead of kona snow, honest mistake) I called customer service and they were very helpful and quick in resolving my problem. My replacement shipped next day since I had called around 6 and I got the fabric a few days later. The selection and prices are always great!
I always prewash my fabric never thought of checking fabric width of 108" for quilt back - laid out quilt and it now measures 97" so not enough fabric to use for this quilt. They can't do anything for me since I have prewashed. No way has it sprung 11". Won't order again from them.
I had really high hopes for this company. Their website is so professional and I was convinced they were the right choice for our order. We're a young couple and invested over $500 in fabric only to get the wrong order 3 times. The portion of our order that was correct was damaged. When I called I had to wait almost 15 minutes to talk to a supervisor that really couldn't offer much help or guidance. The best they could do was a $50 credit which I'll never use because I'll never order from here again. Stay away! There are far too many comparable fabric websites to waste your time with this one. Oh and to add insult to injury, I'm returning the fabric that was delivered in error and they're deducting the shipping charges from my credit... but I wouldn't have to return it if they'd sent me the right product! Very frustrating.
Place two separate orders on same day for more than $160 and when I asked them to credit me the shipping cost on the lesser item I was told that they couldn't do that because they can't place orders for customers (I didn't understand this answer) and when I phone them to ask for a clarification I was told that the website automatically charges the shipping cost, therefore they couldn't do anything but for me to cancel both orders and reorder onto one order. Wow, I guess their customer service is really at the mercy of this website, so there is really no customer service to handle anything should you need it.
Just found out on line that fabric.com is an Amazon company! Such a shame that Amazon is involved in this trashy company!
People consider yourself WARNED! I order several $1.75 samples, and 7 days later I am just now getting a shipping notification. I am scared to see what I will be receiving. Not to mention, they have a chat option on their website, and no one ever answers it. I got one answer after attempting to contact someone through here probably 10 times, and whoever answered was SO SO SO RUDE. Never again, may sample order was a waist, because I will never order through here again.
Bought a 14" pillow infill. Actual size was 12". Would refund cost of article but not shipping. Since shipping was more than the pillow, it's obvious that is how they make their money. Inferior and misleading goods that you send back and they keep the shipping cost.
I bought a shank of yarn at a good price, and it arrived quickly. However, I probably would have bought elsewhere if I'd known they didn't spin the yarn into a ball. Now I have to work with it still in the shank, which will be a pain...
Found this website while browsing for fabric and placed two orders with them. The fabric is as described. This is the only website among others which shows the other fabrics and colors in the selection list which becomes easy for comparing them when buying. The price is less when compared to other websites when you want to purchase by the yard. Free shipping for $35 is year round.
This site has a huge selection of fabrics at the most competitive prices. They are always quick to ship and stock levels are accurate online.
I would give them 5 stars if only international shipping costs were a bit more reasonable or if occasionally we got discounts if spend over a certain amount
Seems I am in the minority as far as my experiences with Fabric.com. Have never had a problem that needed contact with Customer Service there. Always got the fabric I've ordered in a timely fashion... at good prices. Can't say how many orders from me, but have been buying from them for several years now.
Most useless lazy customer service messed up my shipping unwilling to help fix it. SO LAZY. DID I SAY LAZY? NOT EVEN WILLING TO TRY EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID THEY'VE NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN. GUESS I WILL BE ON MY OWN TO GET MY PRODUCT. I will never order anything from them again.
I placed an order for nearly $200 of fabric on January 9th. They sent me the UPS tracking number for the package, but i did not receive the box on the day they said it was delivered. I called fabric.com to report the problem and they said I had to file a complaint with USPS before they would take any action. After a week of back and forth phone calls with USPS, they decided they didn't have the package and didn't know where it was. I called fabric.com back to report the findings, and fabric.com said they had to initiate a process that would take 8 business days to complete. After that time, they would decide to either refund my money or resend the order. The 8 business days actually took 2 entire weeks, with multiple calls to check on th status. They finally agreed to resend the order, but acted like they were doing me a huge favor. I placed and payed for the order a full month ago and have yet to receive any product.
Bottom line, it's going to take a dozen phone calls and a month of your time if there are any hiccups when your order is shipped. Be warned.
I'm surprised by the previous reviews as I was very happy with my fabric and just 3 days for me wait for it in Australia! Thanks
I was so excited to get a lot of my holiday fleece at such a cheap price, until I had to deal with customer service. A few days after I placed my order, they emailed me and informed me that a fabric that I ordered was out of stock (which it didn't say on the product page). So I emailed back with a substitute item, and they wouldn't accept it 3 times. So I finally just emailed them and told them to cancel my order, and that I will not be shopping with them anymore.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
First time site user experiencing issues with coupon so called support
1. They gave me a solution that didn't work couldn't provide another
2. Accidentally hung up
3. Laughed at my situation
4. Couldn't give call back window time
5. Apparently April was the only rep in the office when I called them back, no one else to escalate to
6.Is any one actually running customer care?
7. They have debited my account but still no shipping info, no first user discount or 20% off order $60+: Should have stuck with Walmart Fabric at least I was confident I was getting my fabric... not sure the $20 in saving is worth the stress, the anger or the fact that their employee thinks my hassle is amusing

I ordered velveteen. Really nice stuff that I had ordered before and except for sloppy packaging I had no complaints. Until yesterday. When I opened my order and it was flannel! Don't they know the difference? It's a fabric store. Disinterested customer service would not let me talk to a manager. Well alright. I'm not doing business with you again.
This is the absolute worst place to order fabric from. DO NOT DO IT. I ordered fleece from them and THERE WAS A HOLE IN IT. A HOLE. And all the customer service representative told me what that she could give me $5 off my next purchase or return it and they would send me a new one. $5 CREDIT OR RETURN IT? Yeah right considering it took a month to get it in the first place and THEY ARE CRAZY if they think I would ever even order from them again to use the $5 coupon. Also don't be foolish and think that an item on backorder will actually be stocked on the date listed on their site. I ordered a second fleece from them that was to be restocked on the day I first called to inquire about my order and the representative told me that it had just arrived and would be sent out that day. 2 weeks later the representative didn't know what I was talking about when I told her someone had told me this. RIDICULOUS. Don't waste your time or money.
I bought the last 7 yards of a nice fabric from here. They sent me 8 yards of hideous snake skin vinyl. I cannot believe it. What makes matters worse is they can't send the correct fabric because it's "out of stick now." Ya think!?! It SHOULD be out of stock because I am the one who bought it all. Now I can't make good on my promise to make curtains for a client by a specific date. There is no reason for this mistake unless someone in the warehouse wanted to take the fabric that I bought for themselves. I think this because there was a printed label that said faux leather attached to the order and place meticulously over that label, clearly telling that it was vinyl, was the label for my order! Why would they put a label for my order over a label for faux leather. Not a mistake. I will never buy from these dishonest people again. They also have the worst customer service ever. The lady was so rude and wouldn't let me explain the vinyl label being covered with my order information. She would just cut me off and say, "well ship it back." They deserve no stars.

Answer: Im using them for almost a year but no more... they keep sending me 25 % discount almost every week to gain me back... NO WAY! Yeah i order atleast 2,000 each order... total loss for them... until now they still awe me money for the fleece fabric i order long time ago, when i order it it has 50 yards of it, after 10 days they gonna tell me its out of stock, waited for replacement, until now no replacement... i got a lot of horrible experience with this company,,, dirty fabric that looks like somebody use it to rub on their body... really really sucks!
Answer: My business is making curtains. I have dealt with this company for the past two years and I think the customer service department is doing the best they can with trying to making it look like the company has it together. They do not have it together at all. There is no excuse with the volume of business that they do that they cannot afford a system that can tell you immediately an item is out of stock. I cannot tell you how many times I have purchased fabric from this company only to learn three days later that it is not in stock. Then they hold the rest of your order for another three to four days after you answer an email telling them to continue to ship the rest of the order. I have had fabric arrive to me balled up in a box that they didn't even bother to put in a bag, I have had fabric with shoe prints on it in the middle of the bolt or pieces of fabric missing from a ten yard order that were cut out of the middle of the ten yards. I am trying to eventually not use this company at all anymore as they don't have a clue as to how to treat customers or just don't care. The only problem is they have run all of the mom and pop online fabric stores out of business with lower prices (this was maybe two years ago) and the smaller businesses couldn't keep up with them so they closed. Now that they have the market they have raised their prices because they have very little competition out there. If you leave a good review for this company you are one in a million that have had a pleasurable experience. Just because you bought from them once and don't have a complaint means nothing, consider yourself lucky.
Answer: It's a US website, so they'll take the money in US dollars, but if they take orders from Australia your bank or payment processor will have to convert the currency according to the current exchange rate and I think they may also charge a fee for doing this.

Answer: I would call or email them, including as much detail as you can... order #, what fabrics were ordered and approximately the time of the order. Have never had this happen to me from Fabric.com, have from another online site and was lucky that I got the help I needed. Good Luck.
Answer: As a customer of theirs, almost an ex-customer of theirs at this point, I can honestly say they have made absolutely no changes for the better in my case. They have paid absolutely no attention to any of my issues with them, which is why I'm about to become a former customer.
