The company enjoys a mixed reputation, with some customers praising the quality of instruction and the affordability of courses, highlighting positive experiences with dedicated teachers and flexible learning options. However, a significant number of reviews express frustration over aggressive sales tactics, misleading information regarding course details, and difficult cancellation processes. Many customers report feeling misled about fees and terms, leading to a perception of the company as primarily profit-driven. Overall, while the educational offerings may be beneficial, the customer service approach appears to require substantial improvement to address widespread concerns.

Had the same bad experience many described above.
I believe this company should be forced by the law to explain verbally and make clear to future clients their cancellation fees and refund policy at the time of sale. (Specially when selling their classes to elderly people with poor computer background which are promissed, without a trial period, that it will be easy for them when it is NOT.)
I ended up paying 1,617 dls for two classes.
Their terms and conditions says that even before you start the first class, you have lost a significant percentage of your payment.
From my point of view, charging for a service you did not provide under fraudulent terms and conditions is not good at all. Terms that have that strong impact should be verbally made very clear (as their are if you purchase a flight in an airline online)
Just wish you karma take care of your business...
My own: When learning a new language practice is very important. I believe that another hour should be set up for the students to interact with each other without the presence of the teacher. This action would give us more practice and develop friendships amongst the students. חזרה חשוב מאוד

Generally, the experience has been a good one. It is sometimes difficult since the sentence structure is quite different than what we have in English. While learning the language, if you can supplement the course you like it will help you retain the language. For example, I like music and dancing, so I like to listen to Israeli Folk Dance and try and understand the words, which helps me retain vocabulary.
I've studied 3 years almost now with eTeacherHebrew, and I'm very happy with the teachers and what I've been taught.
Since I enrolled as a student with eTeacherHebrew, I learned Hebrew much faster and had so much fun in the process. ETeacher Hebrew gave a lot of structure and direction to my studies. I really look forward to the lesson every week, and it is so easy to do from the comfort of my own home. In addition, being able to download the recorded lesson every week, enables me to review the material and even study on my own if I miss a lesson for some reason. It is a wonderful way to learn!
I paid this company a lot of money. When I tried using the money on my account, the salesperson said there was no money left on it. I asked to speak to someone to tell me how it was used as I had never used it. They had no answers for me but wanted me to spend even more money with their company. I am shocked that a company can operate like this. So disappointed. Let this be a lesson to all. Stay away from ETEacherHebrew
Thank you, Robert, for your feedback. It is very unusual complaint and we wish to help you resolve the matter. If you indeed pay for classes, you are welcome to take advantage of the school and everything it has to offer.

I enroll in the hebrew class with them. I did ulpan 2 and ulpan 3 with no problems, I loved my teacher and I really learned a lot with this program. However, in spite of being a good customer already, they decided to give me hard time and to mess up with me. To explain you the problem, basically, They called me in july to know if I wanted to continue to ulpan 4 which I answered YES but not before december and I want to continue with Etti and no other teacher. Therefore we closed it and I bought the ulpan 4 and they told me they gonna contact me to choose the schedule.
They tried to contact me over the phone in november to book me for a class in november but they couldn't because I was in israel that month so my phone line in USA was frozen. THey say that they also emailed me but I never received any of those emails. At the end, they enroll me in a class in november without my consent which is not a class with my teacher either.
They called me in february to ask me what is going on, I didn't attend any of the classes since my ulpan started but obviously I wasn't aware of it which I stated.
After several calls and arguments with them, they dont want to put me on another ulpan 4 unless I pay again for it.
I didn't even ask to be refunded, I just want to take my classes but it seems hard. They are going around the problem, saying that they did whatever they needed to do in order to reach me but they couldn't. Bul... They are just trying to get away with it like that. That s the israeli way. They dont even want to give you the name of the supervisor, not willing to do anything.
I was so pleased with those classes but honestly Im so disappointed of them and how they handle this kind of things. I could continue with them until the last ulpan which means 3 other more courses but they blew it up.
Bottom line, Stay away from them.
Just cancelled my private on-line lessons with E-teacher. I have never done this before but I wanted to warn any of you who are considering taking Hebrew from them, beware. They pressure you into buying 50-100 lessons with a special discount. But, note that this is not refundable if you decide to cancel. They send you the contract after you have paid it and they do not tell you the conditions beforehand. I asked them if I could cancel if it will not work for me and they said yes, at the time, and told me to just stop the payments. I made half a payment two weeks ago and then they were gong to take the other half payment in April. After one lesson I wanted to cancel and they told me that they would charge me for all the lessons even if I did not take any more, plus they immediately charged my credit card for the remainder of the lessons before April! They said I should have read the contract, however, they sent it to my old email address even though I gave them my new address over the phone. After many phone calls I finally did get it after almost a week. By then, it was too late to cancel, according to them there was only a 24 hour window where you could cancel. They said that the contract was on their website, which I was never told. I contacted my credit card company to dispute this charge. I never signed anything. So, take warning. Do not make any payments for anything without reading the fine print first. The teachers are great with E-teacher, but their sales department is deceptive.
Total scam, this website is crap. If there was anything less then one star I would have chosen it. First their "totally legit" guarantee kinda threw me off thinking that this website was half descent. All in all after talking to my credit card company (Visa) who red flagged me said that eteacherhebrew had taken one grand out of my account. It was a total scam, I hope these people get whats coming to them. I reported it to Visa international but of course they are not going to do much about it. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE IF YOU DO NOT WANT ALL YOUR CEDIT CARD INFO STOLEN!
Answer: I have the same experience - they took from my visa account 824 Euro for 1,5 teaching hours - the whole amount for the whole semester even if I cancelled after 1,5 teaching lessons:-(
Answer: 3000 sheckels, one time payment, no option of getting one sheckel back if disappointed.

Dear Ana.
Thank you for your feedback, you help us know in which ways we can become better for our students world-wide. We have been searching for your name and data given here in the school system for the last 9 days, and couldn't trace any cancellation of studies under that name.
You are kindly invited to contact us and resolve this issue. Please have your student ID number ready to quicken the process.
As a rule, as a school, and as an academic institution, just like any university you know (and the Hebrew U is a partner, we must abide their standards), tuition fees are divided to registration fee, taken during enrollment, and rest of the tuition we break into payments.
Our school sends every student the materials, which we pay for, schedule orientation meeting with IT, which we pay for, and pay the teacher who is there on time to teach. These payments are covered by the registration fee, which is the first part of the tuition. If a student chooses not to show up for the class, we cannot avoid paying the teacher who was there on time ready to teach the rest of the group.
In regards to working with the computer, in addition to the IT orientation meeting, we also ask if you know how to send and receive emails. The entrance to the class on Webex is shown not only on your page on our website (which is simpler than most emails), but also sent through your email, and as a text message. All of the above contain one link and one link alone: "Click here to enter classroom". If you require more assistance with it, you are always welcome to contact us back. This can be easily done by clicking "Reply" to any of the many emails we exchange.
Please contact us so we can understand where the problem was, and resolve it for you. We want you to enjoy the full course. Not because you paid the tuition for it, but because of the benefits the studies can provide you with. Not all universities insist on you showing up to classes and take advantage of the tuition you payed, but we do.
Please contact [email protected], attention of: Michal Jacobs, or 1-646-200-5822 as soon as possible, we wish to help you best we can.
