NEVER DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I had won over $100 worth of merchandise from an auction that ended January 26th & paid same-day. I sent a follow up e-mail to them on January 27th, asking they confirm I had requested shipping as I had not seen any charges for it. They responded January 31st, confirming I had requested it and that I would receive a quote for shipping charges shortly. Additional e-mails sent February 10th, 15th and March 2nd - not a single response. Phone calls made February 13th, 15th, 19th, and March 6th. Finally got a hold of a person on February 19th, who said my order was somehow missed and I'd have my shipping quote in a few days. Six phone attempts made today (March 6th) and, after more than 2.5 hours on hold on TWO different phonelines, I finally got a person. My order was checked again and, again, I was told it was somehow missed. I informed them I no longer wanted the items and only wanted a refund for what I had paid in January and still not received. I was initially told that they cannot issue me a refund and my items would be shipped the next business day. I, again, stated I wanted a refund and they can keep their items and was told that the person on the phone couldn't make those types of calls and they would have a manager call me the next business day. When I asked for a different number or e-mail that I can reach out to if I don't get a call, I was told they only have the one phone # and one e-mail address, both of which are completely useless. Their website says they normally respond to e-mails and calls within 48 hours - which is absolutely false. Within 90 seconds of me hanging up, I received a notification from my credit card company that Encore Auctions had just tried to charge my card another $42.22, which I'm assuming is to finally ship the items I no longer wanted. Enough was enough. I called my credit card company, explained the whole situation, and had a case opened and credit issued to my account in under 11 minutes. Stay away from this business - while I was being ignored for more than 5 weeks, they continued posting auction after auction online. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I purchased 3 Dyson vacuums at auction from Direct Auctions that were described as returned merchandise when in fact they were so severely used and damaged that a someone who was blind, deft and had no arms would have known immediately upon it being placed in front of them. 1 of them the battery is completely shot 2 of the 3 had cracked and damaged casing, they were all missing parts, and the only one that actually looked in decent condition although still had crap in it from whomever requires to continuously plug and unplug the cord due to it stooping uts charging cycle even though it's no where near charged. Highly disappointed when I paid over $500 for 3 Dyson (V8×2 and the V10) vacuums which Is roughly the msrp for 1 of the V8's yet all I have is maybe a half $#*! working vacuum very disappointing especially when they were supposed to be gifts. And this isn't even the first issue that I've had. Between Encore auctions taking payments they weren't authorized to take and not sending the merchandise that's another auction house to stay away from and Addison Circle who I purchased a desk from that they admit that they checked according the fact thelisted it as not missing any parts except for the entire desk that it should have been not some chip board piece of crap.
