Emerald Chat has been a game-changer for me. As someone who's a bit shy, putting myself out there can be nerve-wracking. I don't understand. All of the reviews are from years ago. Right now, I'm using Emerald, and it's been awesome, so far! In fact, I'm having so much fun meeting new friends (especially during COVID). It doesn't have those pesky bots and neverending recaptcha. There will always be people using the platform for the wrong reasons but I've never had any issues when reporting someone. The support is pretty responsive, and the mods are very helpful. I am so glad they have human mods, too! Nothing beats the human touch in this AI-driven world. Overall, I'm honestly having fun!

Emerald Chat is my go-to platform for late-night conversations when I can't sleep. I've met some amazing individuals here, and the anonymity makes it easy to open up. It's a great place to share thoughts and feelings with strangers who often turn into friends.

In early 2022(after most of these negative reviews were written) the site was sold by the original creator/owner 'Callan' and a new team of admins and devs have taken over the site for the past year and a bit.

In this time the site has undergone many feature additions and overall bug fixes and quality of life improvements for the site. A big improvement was to the karma system that was regularly exploited by disgruntled users who intended in sexuaI convo but didn't recieve, and also people who had experience in coding that created scripts that mass flooded peoples karma count, instantly banning them.

The exploits got fixed but also the ability to be banned for long periods of time through karma, is a removed feature all together and isn't something that needs to be worried about anymore, karma is now just an indicator how the general community views the behavior of a user. Instead of karma, the site now has moderators again to control bans and it helps with alot of issues the site faced like inappropriate profile picture uploads (the AI photo recognition was a joke and never worked) but now they are manually approved by mods to control the abuse.

The bottom line is that Callan was a terrible site owner and definitely had a lack of knowledge in what was required to be a fair site that doesn't $#*! people over and there money. These new admins and devs deserve a chance and if you read this, I urge you to give emerald a try and not let these past negative reviews influence your decision. I really do think emerald is in a place to overtake omegle if it just had more public recognition.

I am clicking cancel membership and is not allowing me to do it, such a scam, fortunately I could just cancel my card and get a new one, stay away from those scammers!
