eHarmony Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

OMG..
December 18, 2013

OMG. This is a test for sure, a test of how patient one can be. Lol

Been there a couple of weeks now, the personality test is still going back and forth on who you are and bla bla. Cant even get in contact with another person till this personality test is over. Not sure I will hang around till the end!

NOT worth spending money on. Free dating sites exist, and some of them help you make your own choices. EHarmony claims to be able to decide for you what you should want, but in doing so that prevents you from finding what you DO want.

And most accounts can't even respond to you because that's pay-to-communicate,

Starts well at first
October 14, 2013

Starts well at first. But then things really thin out. I know, I must be a loser but actually, I've been having good luck on other sites. Very expensive and nothing is happening in month one.

I joined eHarmony with the hope of meeting the love of my life. I was told I had a 3 day free trial & I could cancel within 3 days and receive a full refund. I called on the 3rd day & was told I could have 14 extra days for free to see if I would start liking eHarmony. I happened to ask what the end date would be and was told Oct. 4,2013. But 14 extra days would actually be Oct. 9. I called back to find out that it was 14 days from the original start date. If I had listened to the girl who told me I had 14 days from the date of the call I would not have been able to get a refund. Sneaky eHarmony.

I called back on October 1st and got an eHarmony rep by the name of David C. I asked him to please cancel my membership and refund my money. He argued with me for about 15 minutes telling me what I'm doing wrong and why I should keep my eHarmony account open and active. I literally repeated myself a dozen more times that I just wanted to cancel my account and receive a refund. He continued to argue with me until I became so frustrated I started crying. He then became very rude with me telling me that I'm outside my cancelation window. I told him that I was offered a 14 day extension. He then put me on hold.

When he finally came back he scolded me saying I was not allowed to have a 14 day extension of my free trial period. He told me like it was my fault eHarmony gave me the extension & like I have no right to be asking for that extension to be honored.

At one point during the call I asked him for his name. He told me David C. Then abruptly yelled "I'm not giving YOU my last name!" I told him I didn't need or want his last name.

At another point in the conversation he scolded me telling me to not use foul language. I don't curse so I repeated exactly what I had said back to him to show him I wasn't using foul language. He finally fell silent. This guy has some serious issues.

David C. With eHarmony was an arguementative, rude, distasteful representative that should seriously not be working with the public. Especially not with a company that is supposed to be supportive and helpful.

I will never join eHarmony again. Shame on them for treating customers this way.

First of all, their prices are highway robbery. Call their 800# and haggle with them and you can get much better prices. I got 3 months for $60. I think that is about is cheap as you can get. That being said, their software is full of glitches and the result is that it dramatically slows down the decision making process as well as the communication with potential matches. Their customer service is hit or miss - the first couple of calls they were super nice and the more complaining I did the more unhelpful they became. The people that I spoke to (manager Sarah and CSR Jennifer) were robotic and apathetic and constantly tried to pass the buck in terms of accepting responsibility for a product that does not work properly. Unfortunately, the glitches apply to both their mobile sites as well as the regular site. Overall, Eharmony's software needs a complete overhaul to make it more efficient and their customer service reps do not put their customer's first.

I agree with the site, very badly set up and the flow of is not that user friendly and I have had a number of file locks and update issues. On the other hand I have gone out with a number if girls so I can't complain about that, and by the way you can skip all the question which has happened with a couple and that have turned out to be the best connections as they don't get too hung up on the questions and answers and what percentage you match... it must be a chick think as I think it is easier just to meet a cafe and get it over because you know in the first 30 seconds if you want to go anywhere with it...

I only tried 3 different dating sites and I became a member of this one after my dismal experiences on both chemistry and match. Like I have said before these are my own personal experiences. The negatives to me were the compatability system and the inactive profiles sent to you. Their compatability quiz is suspect to me and receiving inactive profiles is not cool. Outside of the usual ups and downs that come along with the internet dating world I can't say anything more negative outside of those two issues.

The positives to me about this site was the fact that you had to work with the matches you were given. Many may not agree with me on this one but it ensured that I didn't come across riff raff and it also ensured that BOTH the men and women had to actually work equally as hard on there to land their match, unlike on match.com. Unfortunately I didn't get any quality matches that were within my range so I bumped the distance up a bit. I met a few decent women that were highly compatable with me but in the end the distance was just too much since I'm not looking to relocate and I don't expect a woman to do that for me as well. In the end it was the only dating site I would even consider trying again.

I tried match.com and yahoo's personals first (both were terrible). First profile I made they said they couldn't find any matches so I created another one. It's true the personality tests take forever, and I suspect they're pretty worthless (if your answers don't line up into neat little boxes, they don't know what to do... real people, of course, never have contradictions, polar opposite feelings on things, etc.) but I went ahead and paid for the monthly service. I started talking to a couple girls (they were all far away, which is another thing that sucks... there was no one in my state). They do have an option for instant communication or whatever, but I actually liked the guided interaction with all the questions, because I think it prevents an issue on other dating sites, which is the attractive women get hundreds of emails so you never hear anything back. Anyway, I've got to give it 5 stars, because I actually met my wife on here. Back to the problem of matches being far away though, she lived in China. Life is crazy sometimes.

I joined the site a while ago. The advertising sounded great. You could meet someone with your exact interests. However I realize that they were hooking me up with people that were such losers, I was shocked. They had actually nothing in common with me at all, and even when I asked for 500 miles away they were hooking me up with the junkiest men I've ever seen in my life probably the only people that were on the site.

I spent ages doing their personality tests (which I feel are excessively long) then after I had completed this, they said that they couldn't find a suitable match for me, on a global scale! I don't rate any dating website that can't find a single match for one person! My friend also signed up, and she is an avid animal lover, which she mentioned in her sign up testing. E-harmony then matched her with a couple of deer hunters in Texas. Overall, not great!

They are a porn site, and YOU are the porn. They won't let you communicate effectively, they deliberately pair you with the worst matches, because they know that as soon as you find a good one, you will stop paying for their service. This is the place to go if you really need to get you self image reduced to $#@! Think about it, follow the money...

Initially seemed good, personality tests etc. but then got matches that were not really suitable, they lost my photos, wasn't allowed to change answers that were affecting my matches for 6 months! Site kept freezing, difficult to find how to cancel, got standard suspected "computer" replies to queries, now that I have cancelled they keep sending messages/matches to me, feel I'm being pestered now and looking for way to officially complain.

This web-site is a rip-off - eHarmony is the most awful web-site in the world They do not stand behind the claim for a free review of your matchs. They hose you into becoming a member and when you want to cancel they give you the run-around eatrting up time so you're stuck with an account that is useless. I would recumnebd a site like Match.com instead. They are amicable. EHarmony or should I say "eHa-Money". Is by far the worst web-site I have ever in my life encountered. STAY AWAY FROM IT, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY.
They are no Good for you.
