They only want your money. They won't follow their own Terms and Conditions of Service, do not comply with the 3 days return policy. I had bad experience with customer service who instead of addressing how I did not meet the return criteria gave me advise on "widening" my filter to have more matches.
Do not spend any money on this site. It is overly expensive and a very disappointing time. Your matches chosen are mind-boggling, and that is all you can view. There is no flexibility on changing your answers to their questionnaire, which itself is a question - it is just a generic categorization with no in-depth meaning. And forget about cancelling, once you click on a subscription choice that is it, you are locked in; plus, if you do not email them to cancel they will automatically hook you in for another 1 - 2 year subscription. There is no email confirming your purchase or welcome aboard message so you do not know when you signed up, how much the payments are and for how long. I'm unfortunately trapped for another year and have to respond to messages from matches that make my stomach urch.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I WAS FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED $358
I decided to try this dating app and then subscribe to a 1 month subscription of $17. Upon payment of $17, I received a charge of $358 instead. I tried contacting them via phone but they are unreachable. No means of contacting them. Please BEWARE
I took out the full membership, $265.00, had 2 messages from a different country and province. Then, nothing. They cancelled my account, I believe, and won't respond to my emails. Most times I was online, there were a maximum of 3 people within a 200 km radius online. A complete scam.
I joined eHarmony a few months ago. When I first started, eHarmony had BARLEY any matches for me. (I live in Canada and 9/10 of of my matches were located in the United States). So, mistakenly I decided to upgrade to the premium membership: thinking this would potentially open up more matches that were closer and ACTUALLY have the potential of becoming a relationship (which is what eHarmony is for.) Sadly, this did not have any success and I decided to cancel my premium membership. I spoke to an eHarmony employee asking to cancel my subscription/membership. I thought this had been successful until I received an email stating that my payment was overdue. Unfortunately, I thought that this had been an error and did not respond in time. Now, they are charging me the full amount of their services for something that should have been cancelled by one of their employees. When I attempted to contact someone, the only way to reach a professional is through e-mail. In which eHarmony barley responds to. After a few days, they declined my request to cancel the debt owing. This website is a huge scam and I caution anyone against using it.
Signed up for 6 months. They should contact you but don't, then they renew you for a year! That is a scam! In 6 months, no dates, really poor.
I joined and at first someone spoke to me but after the 30 day money back period she ghosted me. She completely blocked me and since then no one will even respond at all. So I believe that they are paying someone to talk to you long enough to keep you on the site so you can't get a refund. Do not waste your money on this site at all it is the worst dating site ever. I would give it zero stars out of 5 but they make you pick one on the site that I am writing my review on.
I don't have any proof either because once she blocked me it erased all of our conversations. Talk about the biggest scam ever!
There are literally no matches, they don't let you see any other people on the site they haven't matched you with. Worst site I've ever been on. Disappointing beyond words and I'm stuck paying for this for a year. Pretty sure they are laughing all the way to the bank…..
EHarmony is the worst dating site I have ever signed up for. I would give a negative rating. Tried to cancel before the renewal, took my bank through an investigation process over the amount and refused refund. BE CAREFUL - I've been battling with them over $$ for close to 12 months. FRAUDULENT.
A friend recommended this site. They charge about 850 dollars per year. And with out knowledge automatically charged my credit card and will only allow you to cancel on their site. Just try calling customer service and they don't answer. Any of there customer service phone numbers.
They took my subscription money for 2 years which i did not need and then they forced me to pay that. Also when i disputed they said cancelling subscription is not to be send on customer care email. They just want ur money
I ran across two scammers on eharmony and deleted the app within the second week. Both scammers were not who they said they were and were fishing for my personal information. Frank said he was from Sweden, but was from the Middle East and involved in offshore accounts. When I reported the scammers to eharmony they did nothing. Instead, they want to send me to collection agency for 6 months of payment even though they've already collected over $100 from me. I stopped payments to them on pay pal. Customer service is non caring. They only want money. This organization should be taken down for fraud. They will not get another cent from me.
I signed up and the cheapest option was a full year expensive membership.I read online that they had a three days refund policy and since you can't see any of the photos on the free version I wanted to see what the platform has to offer. It turned out that the three days refund was only applicable for a few states and not in Canada. I know I didn't do my homework diligently but you would expect that they offer a trial version of some sort. After all, this is the norm in almost all membership platforms. Customer service refused to do a refund eventhough I requested it on the very first day I signed up within hours of not finding any nearby matches, not to mention almost nonexistent except for those living +200 km away! It's unfortunate how greedy e-harmony is preying on people's hope in finding a life partner to snatch almost 400$ in one go.
Worse dating site ever. Hardly no potential matches in my Québec area... and of course, by the time you find out you're virtually alone on the site, it's too late to get a refund and you're stuck on paying them 65$ per month for 6 months! Total crock!
I Have Been On This Site since October and have not Had One Date. Ninty Nine Percent of Matches are Hundreds of Miles Away. The Ones In My Area Are Not Matches At All. I,m Very Dissatisfied With This Site. They are Not Delivering on Any Of There Promises.
Boring registration includes completely personal questions and information that is provided to business partners so that they can find your interest and sell you goods!
After keeping my phone number secret for two years, I registered it here.
From that day on, dozens of people with an Indian accent are calling or texting for fraud
I sighed up at a supposedly discount rate at less than $12 for six months,=72dollars plus HST...they charged my credit card $168.00.think I'll ever get it fixed...stay away from eHarmony...
Found a partner on another dating site. Thought I cancelled the subscription through the app. Noticed a $745.74 charge on my credit card from eharmony. Contact them.
Their response: "Subscriptions renew automatically to provide our customers with uninterrupted service. For your convenience we mention this during the purchase process. Unfortunately, we are unable to honor your request for a refund as your request is outside of our cancellation policy as stated in our Terms and Conditions."
After back and forth emails I was able to get HALF the charges refunded, but they refused to refund the entire amount. There was no warning email that my 12 month subscription was coming due, just a charge on my CC and literally the next day eHarmony telling me sorry, they cannot reverse the charges. A bit of a SCAM in my books.
On the service part of things, lengthy questioning to ensure you have YOUR PERFECT match! Well, let me tell you...I was talking with ladies that were EXACTLY like me. It freaked me out. And something I did not want of course! Opposites attract and this was not what I was looking for.
E-harmony is disingenuous with their advertisement. You will never see any matches and the few people there mostly not what you want, no disrespect to them. Just steer clear from this fraudulent website. They want to keep me on a 1 year payment plan when I thought it is a monthly thing. They do not a monthly plan and you will be bored after using it for 1 hour. Den of thieves
Answer: You can't get a hold of customer service at all every time you click customer service on their site it takes you to FAQs on their website. There is no phone number shown on the site to call them if you have problems. The site is the worst dating site ever, don't believe any of there commercial they are all lies.
