In my experience with my child is a full blown NIGHTMARE! (He's in the 7th grade and this platform is used for the Pandemic not as his over all schooling)
This platform is impossible to keep caught up on. They expect way to much from these CHILDREN. He's doing things that my 11th grader is doing? How is that even fair, but they'll fail him if not done. He works on it from morning til night.
So don't feel bad if you CHILD is not doing well. NONE of them are doing good
Excellent service. They responded promptly and with great kindness and professionalism. They offered solution and instructions clearly.
This review is mainly for the Pathblazer program. We have had several technical glitches in this 20-21 school year and almost every time I've contacted Edgenuity, they've jumped right on the problem. Only one instance where I had to re-email. But the dozens of other times, they have responded within the hour and usually had the problem solved before the end of the day. In EVERY email correspondence I have had with them, they are very polite and courteous. As far as customer support goes, I give them an A+.
Don't get me started. I- just don't. Please? ‘K. Thanks. Seriously. I REALLY —DON'T want to be here.
Although it took weeks to get a response at the beginning of the fall 2020 semester, customer service did improve although you have to leave your number and wait for a call back. But the teaching aspect is not as good as it could be. Our daughter had a wonderful English teacher who was actually the best resource on figuring out how Edgenuity works (since customer service wasn't responding and our school had no clue) but all of a sudden with no explanation my daughter had a new teacher. I finally found out that they pulled the great teacher (Mr. Jones - real name) because he didn't live in the same state as we do. They need to clone him. We're still trying to get the final grade for one of her classes; I do not think the teacher bothered to review the 6 pending submissions and just gave the grade without those assignments added but I cannot get a response from her and Edgenuity directs you to contact the teacher.
If you need any type of assistance from Edgenuity, forget asking via their customer service route. They do not respond. If you're lucky, one of your child's 6 teachers may respond to your email and help you. That's what thankfully helped us out. For something as critically important as your child's high school education (and grades for college applications) you would rightfully expect the platform provider to respond within a timely manner to a request for assistance. My student who had an A- avergage in the brick and mortar school is currently getting Cs, Ds and Fs due to the demanding time frame (she's at 25%-35% completion and "actual" should be 50%) but for the curriculum she has covered she says she feels she is learning more than what the teachers at school taught. It's a shame her GPA will not reflect it. (This is an issue for the local school board.)
I wrote to Edgenuity because I was confused/concerned about some test questions that my students were getting marked wrong. I felt the answers that Edgenuity had listed were not correct and/or the questions and answers were misleading. Edgenuity addressed my concerns and made adjustments to the questions that I had inquired about. In some cases the questions and answers were not wrong but the Edgenuity representative was able to clarify the question and answer for me.
My 4 star rating is based on their customer service and ability to address my concerns. I am still concerned that there may be many more assessment questions/answers that are misleading or wrong which I have not caught yet.
Brighton was very helpful in helping me. She was professional and kind as well. In addition, she was very knowledgable.
The speed of response and the clarity of the explanation by Lian were great to respond to a student who, I believe, was trying to get past undone work using imagined technical excuses.
I talked with Jerin yesterday about finding more ability-fitting courses for some of my students and she guided me to some good options to check out, especially in the needed math category. Jerin was patient and thorough and was a big help! Thanks so much! #*******.
For one Edgenuity is encerting old information within our head and second of all is see no use in tell us things I already know and that is what Edgenuity is doing and last but not least I do not see an useful or education purpose to this app but as i can see it is helping the teachers out a lot so that me it may put some strain on our parent and I can support that because as many children see the parent wake up and go to work and so that is why i'm rating the app 3 star cause I feel like that is a very fair overall rating. :))
As a homeschool curriculum facilitator, I am familiar with a wide variety of online learning platforms. In my opinion, Edgenuity is one of the better platforms that is offered. It is very easy for the student to navigate, accommodates both visual and auditory learners, and has immediate feedback on incorrect answers in their check for understanding sections. The content is also extremely customizable per individual student (IEP accommodations) and is not a cookie-cutter curriculum.
I like the way the company handles questions/concerns with the scheduled meeting times. My questions were addressed promptly and the customer service rep was very professional and knowledgeable.
There are three things that I would like to see improvement on:
1. Guided notes that do not equate to printing 600 pages per class
2. Unit tests that can be modified to reduce the number of possible answers (from 4 to 3 choices) for IEP students.
3. Policing the online cheating.
I have NEVER given a one star review to any service, but this program is awful! The quizzes are the only assessments given, the videos are inconsistent, the material used in severely outdated and its overall a horrible platform. I'm deeply sad that this is the only option for my son right now.
One of our students found a broken link. (These are inevitable in online courses... just a fact of life.) I reported it from the course structure on the instructor side. Had a response right away, saying they had a high volume of support requests. Even so, the issue was resolved in only two days. Follow up from Edgenuity support was quick and helpful.
I submitted a ticket to their support team and heard back within the following period while at work. Homer was very courteous and quick as he resolved my technical issue.
I am a student that uses edgenuity and I think that it is a very cool learning site I like the new tutor button or area that they added and overall I think that it is very educational it could be a little bit better though.
Nope. Those aren't typos on the title. Edgenuity has been on high demand due to the pandemic, and that has only made their already dismal customer service/client support even worse. Can't get anyone on the phone, and when you ask for a call back... well... it's been 24 hours and I'm still waiting. Opening a ticket gets you a rote response. If you want service, you have to hit your account executive... hard. I'm on a first-name basis with mine, and I'm still pretty upset at how bad their customer support is. I could go on about the GUI and Reporting, but I'll limit my review to their customer service. On client service response alone, I would not recommend this program to anyone.
I have students who need Guided Notes for their classes. You will not supply them with their needs!
My daughter recently had a (rare) echnical Issue where she couldn't move to next activity. (The issue was resolved very quickly.) Overall, she is good at math, but also the lectures have been very good too and I'm happy. I wouldn't mind if there were more skip ahead testing out since some of the topics are review.
This website is complete and utter garbage. I have 4 classes in Edgenuity and I get a total of 40 assignments A DAY. They are obviously unconcerned about actually educating us, and im pretty sure they only care about money. They sometimes(not always) have pre recorded monotone, ped0ph¡l3 *******@ss muth@f*ck@s that read off obvious sh¡t and talk to us like babys."do you know what this sandwich is made of? The lettuce comes from a lettuce plant. The tomatoes come from tomato plants, the meat comes from animals, and the bread comes from wheat."
No, im not fuk¡n kidding this is quoting the exact words of one of the people on Edgenuity. And another thing, you cant skip the videos, even though they are completely useless. Their cameras look like webcams you buy off wish for 1 dollar and 20 dollars shipping. The website format looks like it was made right when computers came out, and the servers are constantly down.
Oh whats that? You just finished taking 2 quizzes and a unit test? Haha, yeah we arent saving any of that. Say goodbye to your dream job and HELLOOOOO SUBWAYYY!
Anyway. Im pretty sure this *******@ss website's main goal is to lower the teen population.
As a teacher, I am horrified by the complete lack of coherent instruction. The fact that the system locks when a student has successfully passed a test (and not with a suspicious score of 100% but a realistic score of 70-80%) is mind blowing. This is setting our students up for failure and discouraging them by setting the precedent that if they work hard and pass, they will be punished.
Answer: Ingenuity is marketed for teachers it is not for students they do not understand that we cannot all be on the same Pace I understand your stress and I have cried as well over this course I hope we can both recover our grades
Answer: Because its just an orange and gray screen we stare at and learn nothing from and get bad grades also its the worst out there and how did someone rate it 5 stars they must work at edgenuity and protect it
Answer: Its not supposed to be fun! Its supposed to be a gear grinding terrible program that just wants money
Answer: I KNOW! This is how they are trying to kill off the Gen Z population.
Answer: I agree with you. I am a student using Edgenuity- meanwhile missing my first year of highschool. Just don't get mad at your kids like my parents get upset with me because I am suicidal from this website.
Answer: Failing. 100% failing. Theres no way you can efficently learn from this website.
Answer: We have elementary content offered through our Pathblazer product. You can find more information about it here: https://www.edgenuity.com/products-and-services/intervention/#pathblazer. We offer Pathblazer as a blended or supplemental learning solution. Pathblazer includes a Math and ELA intervention program for Tier 1 and 2 RTI support with supplemental curriculum for science and social studies that teachers can use for skills recovery and targeted instruction.
Answer: Because they don't care and they are getting paid no matter what.
Answer: Enginuity isnt for students it's for teachers it isn't set to understand how a child thinks or how they all react what it picks up is that they failed and that's all they have to redo everything because that's how the program works
Answer: It looks for key words. If you have the right words written, you are correct. If you have the right answer but use a word that is a bad keyword they count it wrong
