I ordered over 9000 euros worth of wood from this company in March. They pressured me to pay in full because of canadian dollar rate fluctuations, and I did so. So far I have received absolutely no wood, lots of excuses, and even the exact same excuse, cut and pasted no doubt, used twice two weeks apart - so his memory is not even that good. I would not touch this company again, and now have to spend more time and expense recovering my money.

Firstly, I wish to correct the mistake I made with month of purchase, it was not February but July of 2014. Since writing the review below, a consumer protection agency in France (DDCSPP: Service protection du consommateur, sécurité des aliments, des produits et des services), has helped me get back the remainder of my money. However, I still express the opinion that G Saillard is the most unprofessional of retailers, he did not conform with the EU's directive on distance selling in that he never sent me, as he should have done by law, confirmation of my purchase, information on my right of withdrawal of my order, delivery details, a proper receipt for my purchase, etc, etc. In fact he never replied to any of my emails asking for this information after taking my money, and, in so doing, he created a sense that he was untrustworthy, and that I was never going to get either the goods I ordered or my money back. It took too many months for him to be shamed into returning my money, through the intervention of this French consumer protection agency. If he were a proper business person, he could easily have avoided causing me all the accompanying worry and upset by doing the correct thing and returning my money promptly. Even though I have all my money back, I still contend that he is an example of abysmally poor business practice, and an idiot, and not to be trusted.

Gerard Saillard, operator of the website ecolobois.fr, took over 2,000 € of my money in February 2014 for a workbench which I never received. He has returned some of this money but still owes me the balance. I have filed an official complaint for fraud with my local Gendarmerie here in France. I recommend you do not buy from this site as its operator is a thief.
