These guys are basically a BAIT-AND-SWITCH operation. They lure you in with an unrealistically low price then hit you with sticker shock. Nobody in their right mind expects to have their carpet cleaned for $29.99 a room. Most carpet cleaners are in the up-sell business, but these guys are just plain opportunists. The technician who showed up at my house had the ba//s to quote me $1200. For cleaning a two bedroom house! He said that it was customary to "negotiate," so I finally settled for half that amount. It took him a little over an hour and he did a sub-standard job. In retrospect, the quality of the cleaning I received was probably actually worth about $30 a room. Then, as he was leaving, he actually asked if I would give him a tip! Here is a tip for you readers: there are lots of carpet cleaners out there. You owe it to yourself to select one that will actually do a good job and not try to take advantage of you.
