I agree, write a complaint through BBB (https://www.bbb.org/dallas/business-reviews/advertising-agencies-and-counselors/research-now-group-in-plano-tx-*******/reviews-and-complaints) because I, too, have had my account deactivated for no apparent reason. They state discrepancies but I would like a detailed account as to what those are! I've lost $200+ in rewards and had been a loyal member for over 10 years! What discrepancies could there be? The only thing is to take surveys and redeem for rewards.
There is something fraudulent about them. Stay away from them. I sent them many messages to fix the account over a full month. They did nothing. No explanation.
I had $170 credit after many hours of surveys.
FOLLOW UP... Was reinstated but all my rewards were taken away. So I cancelled. Don't bother with them.
Have been loyal e-rewards survey for MANY years. Then, without notice or warning, was told my account was inactive and the reason was discrepancies or survey terms and conditions... after how many years there is a problem. Had over $200 in rewards taken without warning. I'll rethink doing surveys in the future because of this. Going to file a compliant with BBB and the Texas AG.
I'm glad to read the other reviews and see I am not the only one. After over 10 years of doing surveys with e-rewards, my account was terminated. No reason was given. When I asked for a reason, I was summarily ignored. I've done online surveys for many companies for many years and have never experienced anything like this before. Do not waste your time with them.
As others have noted I have dutifully and honestly taken untold hours to fill out the surveys in return I get point for my SWA account. All of a sudden poof account terminated. Called up and disputed 2 days later an email saying request denied. Screw these people. We do need a class action.
Seems erewards thinks they can just take away your earnings from all your hours earning them, whenever they wish on false BS! I had over $500 and they said I cancelled!! Yah right!!
Everyone here that has been screwed by this company file a complaint with the Dallas Attorney general > https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/cpd/file-a-consumer-complaint
Time to stop all the fraud or swindling going on! I have already filed with the BBB and the AG Ken Paxton. If they don't do anything about this fraud then AG Jeff Sessions is next!! What are they doing with all of our earnings that they have taken away? Bet they are not claiming it on their taxes as income by swindle! They are saying they are paying out those amounts! This company needs to be investigated for their actions. I don't care if they don't ever want me to do another survey, but I want back what I earned on hours of surveys!!
I noticed that I wasnt getting surveys lately, so I went onto the website to try to log in and got a message that my account was inactive. When I contacted member services I was sent a message saying that my account was permanently closed because it was alleged that member services had reviewed the account and determined that I had violated some policy. I sent in a dispute and have not received a responseall in all, I think erewards isnt worth it if this is how they treat their member panels (and I had amassed over 300 points that I now cannot access)
I have been with E-rewards for a couple of years. I would get and complete surveys fairly often and was fairly happy with this and rewards. That is until recently my account was shut down with no warning and I had built a pretty decent balance. I contacted them and was told my account was closed because they claim I had given conflicting answers! I for sure know I would never do this. When I asked for evidence I was ignored and my inquiry was closed and I could not contact them again and they took all my money on my account! What a scam as it seems like they have done this to many people on investigation and coming here.
Had my account closed for not apparent reason, supposedly there were discrepancies. BS. I have been doing reviews with them for over 2 years and they closed my account after I reached out to them about getting better rewards for the members.
Thanks for being loyal to your members and screwing people over for giving you opinions and advice.
Yup another victim, numerous emails to tech support no reason given and they just close your account with all of your points still there. No way to collect them. What a waste of time stay away.
Despite having several years with them Erewards has deleted my account without notice and preventing me from claiming rewards with my accrued points. They have done this arbitrarily with hundreds of people this month. Check out their Facebook page and you will see what I mean. Ask yourself if you want to run the risk of giving them your valuable opinion only to get ripped off. Avoid they are scammers.
I was a member for 4 1/2 years when they closed my account and forfeited the points I was about to redeem without explanation. It took three weeks, several emails, and one phone call to get a vague explanation. I was not alone in being targeted for this practice.
The reward currency they use is only 20% of real money or less, but from other reviews here, a lot of members do not understand that. I was able to get a small amount of real money from them by redeeming for US Bank Flex Points which can be redeemed at $50 from US Bank, but the limit of $20 per quarter meant that they were only a third or fourth rate survey option in the first place.
The way they close accounts without explanation is definitely a negative. If you spend your time with them, just keep in mind that they will eventually disappoint you too.
The BBB replied to me that they do not cover my issue unless they find a pattern of this behavior. If you had your account suddenly closed and lost value, file a complaint with the BBB right away. If a pattern can be established we just might get our just e-rewards.
I actually accrued enough points to get valuable gift certificates to give as Christmas gifts 2 years in a row instead of buying the same gift certificates using my own money. More recently they have removed the option to use points to get Wyndham Rewards points and other vendors have also been removed, so not quite as valuable as it used to be. Be aware that most vendors, if not all, allow you to redeem every 6 months or more, so in other words, if you want to purchase more than one from the same vendor, you can't.
Useless
$1 will get you $. 40 in benefits which a lot of times will be 50% off or only once every 3 mths (food = up to max 50% etc) Very restrictive, no useful benefits
I have over 2000, 00 worth of rewards which i have used for freq flyer and hotel rewards. I have my own company which i think qualifies me for more surveys. It is far from a scam but i will admit i have completed surveys recently only to be told they had enough participants. I don; t think it is erewards per se but their customers; they bleed u for info then dont want to pay u.
I have been a member for years, I have redeemed for magazines, itunes gift cards, Gamestop gift cards, mostly magazines. Summer 2016 the problem is receiving redemption rewards - I think they are in real trouble. I redeemed for an itunes gift card/code, should receive email in 24 hours. It has been over 16 days with a BBB complaint. In 3 days they send a spam/boiler plate response that indicates they have not read your original issue. I provided an alternate email, still have not received code. Magazines - they will have you wait the 8-12 weeks then say "sold out". So yes, the rewards are ok if you just want a little something for your time, but they are not dependable.
I love doing the surveys. I have already got free movies tickets and $25 credit to red lobster. That's in 1 month. If they say you don't qualify you still get a credit. Try marking in other for race as they are looking for all races and can get you qualified for more surveys. Keep refreshing to find more surveys as not all of them get sent to emails. Check in mornings and afternoon as by night time those surveys are already full.
The kindest thing I could say about e-Rewards would be to call it a Bait & Switch operation -- but calling it a complete scam would be more accurate. The company builds its profits by cheating both participants and clients. They tell clients they are paying participants to take the surveys but that is a scam. They tell participants that they have a survey, then AFTER the person competes the survey THEN they say you aren't qualified so they can pay just the trivial amount rather than the full amount or they simply fail to pay at all. E-Rewards has 99% of the qualification information already in their database, so there is no excuse for having anyone take a survey THEN telling them they aren't qualified due to age, gender, or occupation that was already in the e-Rewards database. Even when the qualification is something that they need to ask (such as whether or not you shop for a specific kind of product), there is no excuse for their habit of putting such questions at the middle or end of the survey so they have already collected a ton of responses before they suddenly 'discover' that you "don't qualify" for the survey they just had you take. E-Rewards is a fine way to collect rewards if you assume that your time is worth less than fifty cents per hour, because that's the best rate that you can expect to receive for taking their surveys (you will never actually see the $2.50 to $7.50 that they claim you will be paid for taking a 20-60 minute survey.
I have been doing surveys on e rewards for a couple of years. I also have been signed up for up to 10 surveys per week. I used to get 5-8 per week, now I'm lucky to get 1 every couple of months!
Update. Not sure what they did but I am now getting multiple surveys per week...
