They lock you into AUTOMATIC BILLING with your credit card information. THEN THEY MAKE IT AS DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE TO SEARCH WHERE TO CHANGE YOUR BILLING OPTIONS! Even their FAQ on how to change your billing is A LIE! RUN RUN RUN AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS!
I called up regarding a billing issue and received nothing but attitude right from the start for the whole call. I don't know what the lady's problem was but it just got worse and worse the longer I spoke it her. When I asked what her problem was she said it was the "word I just said". I asked what that was and she wouldn't say. I really don't think I used profanity but if I did let it slip I had good reason. Besides the fact that she had attitude from the beginning of the call. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they weren't much better, just less of an attitude in their voice. They could care less about losing my business, even though I have been using them since 2011. There are MANY stock photo sites and not much differentiates them. You'd think they would have to have top-notch customer service to compete but NOPE!
Dreamstime.com is my go-to place for unusual, unique images that no other site has! If you need the creative, the attention getting kind of image, this is the place to look!
Thanks!
I love this website for my businesses. They have a tremendous selection of high quality photos, and the light boxes allow me to choose several to select from for each different page of each business.
They had exactly what I was looking for, making my website look so much better! Very happy with their pricing as well!
When I need the perfect stock image I can usually find it at Dreamstime. The customer service is also prompt and excellent. I highly recommend Dreamstime to anyone needing professional, high-quality images at a good price.
I use dreamstime photos for TV motion graphics. It's good for basic, run-of-the mill pictures of people, vehicles and familiar objects. For high-quality photography or more 'artsy' images I'd look elsewhere.
I like Dreamstime. Easy to use, easy to buy pictures. Something to develop is the search-engine: add more search-words/picture. Sometimes I get a load of pictures when I want a lite narrow corridor. But totally I like Dreamstime a lot and have been a customer since 2009.
I think the title says it.
You have to make sure your subscription isn't automatically renewed.
They did reimburse though after I mailed them.
Great selection of pics though and Dreamstime remains my first go to site for images.
Back in 2010, a well known law firm became notorious for suing website owners for improper use of their images. After chatting online in social media, I finally was introduce to the ONLY image database this particular law firm does NOT own, and, that is Dreamstime.
Dreamstime.com has a wide variety of images with an even wider range of prices. I've found so many great images that cost only 1 credit, or FREE that this more than makes up for that PERFECT one that costs more.
Not only prices but customer service that is to be much admired AND appreciated! Dreamstime.com is a business model for us all to follow.
Don't believe me? Check this out: http://www.eparrs.com/blog/when-free-isnt-free-at-all/ I send ALL my website customers to Dreamstime.com for their image needs.
My initial attraction to this site was that artists were offering their work at a reasonable price. I have seen those prices go from a buck for a graphic to $15 bucks and more. I am more likely now just to Google images and find something that's close enough and go with that. I love supporting the arts, but this has gotten ridiculous. I have been buying less and less, and will probably not buy at all before long. Keep driving those prices up and drive yourselves out of business!
I have been using Dreamstime for stock photo's for about 5 years. I am not a huge user... but when the need arises in certain types of sales letters etc... Dreamstime is it. The way the website works and is organized is easy and efficient. Photos always look great when printed.
Dreamstime has lots of great photos, but too often they are multiple shots of the same thing. I will still continue to use them, and recommend them, and hopefully more freelance photographers will post with them.
I am a novelist and like to use good quality pictures from Dreamstime for book previews and website promotions. I have been able to find some great pictures which fitted the themes of my books perfectly.
Dreamstime has quality images that present well on my website. The pricing is great, and use is very easy.
I like the quality of their clip art, and I am pleased with their refund policy. I spent a lot of time trying to decide between two pieces of art I had placed in the light box, and then I accidentally clicked on the wrong one to download. I should have deleted it once I decided not to buy it. Dreamstime refunded my credit and instructed me to delete the file, which I did. Then I went back to their site and downloaded the piece of clip art that I wanted. They responded to this issue within a few hours in a polite and friendly way.
I don't like that you lose credits that you paid for, if you don't use them within a year. Why can't they just be available, like a bank balance? Also, the cost of a piece of clip art usually doesn't match the amount of credit you can buy, so you have to buy more, and that's when you can end up losing a leftover credit balance. If I used a lot of clip art, this wouldn't be a problem; I would subscribe.
I like the photos. But do not like the fact the credit expires. Since it is a cash deal, make credit expire is not lawful in California.
I live in Nigeria and own a mid-size branding+design firm. Getting good images to work with has been a great challenge but not anymore since I started using Dreamstime. However, pls help make purchase of images non-expensive. Thank you!
I have never had a problem with images at Dreamtime I have always purchased "Credit packages" so I use them as I go, no monthly charge. I did however purchase by accident a
"Subscriptions" plan without realizing it, but I called them right away and was fully refunded. So I am very happy with there service. Thanks
Good images but would prefer to buy as needed and not pushed into a monthly subscription.
