They fall far short of what they are attempting to do. A craigslist want to be that is a joke in comparison. There rules make no sense and they censor everything to the point of making it useless. Could not be more disappointed in what had potential to be a great site. I cant even say BJ without getting censored what a joke! Don't waste your time!
Months back I had an account on Doublelist - it was ok, but closed my account due to issues I was running into. I decided to try again and went to open a new account as I no longer had access to the old one as it was closed. Well I cannot get passed the phone number verification - because my number is STILL associated with the old account - and it has been long past 60 time frame they mention. I went to use their help and FAQ section to figure it out - nope. I went to attempt to contact them - no email to email them or anything. I did find the email for their legal department so I thought I'd email them - the response I just now got back:
Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.
554:5. 7. 1: Relay access denied
Yea, in my opinion Doublelist is horrible and is not being operated responsibly - but that's my opinion.
The site blocks and denies nearly every post I try to put up, I even put the word testing in a post and that was the only word in it repeated several times and they denied. Copied someones short post and removed some words, they denied that too. They are also blocking my responses to ads. I tested it with a friend who is able to post ads, and responded to his ad and he never got the response. They discriminate against people they don't like for some reason. Completely useless garbage site,
After signing up I could not get verified they kept asking or telling me try a different email I was stupid enough to give them a couple but I have spam emails specifically for that reason so it's not a big deal but I am convinced that doublelist is just total bull$#*! and it's a scam I believe what they're doing is collecting cell numbers and email addresses to sell to third parties for advertising and marketing that's what I believe I'm not saying that's what they're doing that's what I think they're doing whatever it is that they're doing they're not providing the service that they claim to do it's bull$#*! don't waste your time PS ****off double list
Sent pics and everything to a potential partner. Just got shut down for because of work reasons. No support to resolve it, this makes no sense
I decided to port and add up, looking for a male/male relationship. The ad originally got posted. However, since the dating miscellaneous section does not have listings m4m, f4m, Etc., I thought I would put that in my ad. The only saying that I changed, was that I was a gay male looking for another gay male. It flag the term gay as vulgar oh, but said I could still post it. The change has been in review for 6 hours now. I do not understand why a place that wants to put up success stories, with people meeting, would not allow an innocent relationship ad for a gay man finding another gay man. This is a rarity. I would think doublelist would jump on it. It appears as though they won't. I cannot change the ad, because the link is not usable, until it is out of review. This is exactly what Craigslist was up to.
They keep flagging the ads for no reason. Seems they like to cater few selected patrons. After a few instances, I copied another ad, made minor changes and posted. The result was the same, it was flagged. So for sure some kinda prejudice behavior.
You could use the same language in a posted ad, post your own ad using that language, and it will be rejected. Or worse, it sits in "review" forever and never posts. And after responding to a few ads myself without getting a result from the original poster, my email is almost immediately inundated with spam. Doublelist isn't even a poor man's Craigslist. It's just total crap. If something's free, you're the product. Doublelist seems like nothing more than an email harvesting site for direct ad porn spammers.
I knew this site was
Not going to allow graphic language/ pics for ads, so I adjusted my ads accordingly. Some ads flagged. I didn't know why. Contacted them? No reply at all. Then a month ago I've " been placed on hold/ suspended " very insulting, since I've been cleaning up as I go. Contact doublelist again. NO REPLY AT ALL. Give me a clue I say. Tell me what I did to earn a suspension.
Not a word. Whatever happened to a second chance? I offer a second chance...
They constantly reject post for violations of their "guidelines" while other post that cleary violate it get to stay. I flag the other post and nothing is done. Doublelist should be called doublestandard. Don't waste your time with them.
Nothing on this site but a bunch of pic collectors & career ad posters, who post the same ads every day.
This site might as well be run by nuns, it's a hook up site yet they act like everyone should behave like a saint. It's a joke
Heard about dl from a friend of mine so I decided to try it out. It's like a mesh up between tinder and Craigslist. Seem to be more secure and strict than Craigslist but still has the benefits of tinder for hooking up. Looks like they're adding new sections too that sound promising
Doublelist has some issues but it works for me and I do use it as much as I used to use craigstlist. I just wish they had my specific area instead of big cities
Serious arbitrary ad rejections based on certain words and phrases. Same ads pass then are rejected... which means they haven't got a clue what they are doing. It is an adult site! So "hole" and "hookup" will not shock anybody. Wont even go into the picture policy. Opportunity for someone to really replace CL personals
To be honest I didn't really understand how the site worked at first I'm used to tinder. But once I understood that its all ads based and not profiles then its actually a pretty good system. I hooked up with 2 women (older milfs which I like), and it was a lot easier than it is finding hookups on tinder. I didnt have to go on a long date we just got together and got down to business. I love it.
Oh doublelist, how long we've come. I started using this last year when they first came out- and let me tell you it had its share of problems. In the last 2 months it seems like things have gotten much better/ don't know if they're getting more help or just changes things up but I'm getting better and more responses. So all in all I'm happy with the direction it's heading
Answer: It's on hold forever. Just forget about it. There is no need trying to contact customer service. There are better sites like http://joy4love.com If you are looking for hot girls - works like charm. DoubleList has always been worthless anyway. I only met just a bunch of scammers there.
Answer: Now that doublelist.com is forcing payments there will be more free sites popping up soon!
Answer: It's now 100% official, when you asked this question it was in a test phase & someone made an error of letting it go live. As of this reply you must pay a monthly fee
