As a new designer to this platform DesignCrowd makes it extremely difficult to get a design account verified. The verification process is extremely vague and done by their so-called "qualification team" which I believe are bots that don't even provide a decent answer for declining artwork just a two or three word decline statement like "poor execution". I feel like I wasted my time as the client never got a chance to review my designs.

I just signed up yesterday and submitted my first design. Followed the instructions very closely and I believe I'm a pretty good judge of crappy design or not especially when I'm my worst critic lol. Well my first design was declined, no explanation. How discouraging for anyone. They advertise for designers to join who are perhaps just beginning to professional and say just have fun, lmao! Okay then. If I knew my design was crap I would totally understand but I'm pretty sure if the business that requested it had seen it they would of at least took it into consideration. Stupid setup they have going on. Not a fair place for designers, artists.

I don't recommend this website at all. My experience was the worst as possible. I paid for a package that promised 15+ designers + 30+ designs. I was excited about the idea and trusting on the 100% money back guarantee. After 3 days I started to be concerned because we just had 1 designer and 1 design. They offered me to extend my project. After one week I couldn't be more disappointed! We had just 3 or 4 designers and one was good, but the other 3 were super bad, they are way too far to be professional. I couldn't even show my boss the horrible designs we got because would be a mess! I asked for refund and guess what? They charged me 44 dollars for posting the project! Don't waist your money on Design Crowd! I wish I could have tried 99 Designs instead. Now I messed up with my budget and no design. My boss is pissed.

I was a designer on this site for 4 weeks. I had to verify my account by entering in 3 to 5 contest. Easy right, wrong. I would follow the brief to the tee and I would get declined by the review team before the client even saw my designs. I felt like it was unfair for not just me but the client as well. The team didn't even give me a simple reason why. After entering in projects my account was officially closed. But, my designs were still there that were accepted. I wondered if the client picked my designs and how I wouldn't get paid because they closed my account. Don't waste your time designers and clients. I now use 99designs and it is so easy to use and very fair. I have not had any problems and the clients can see the designs and there is no review team to reject your design without reasoning.

I have used DesignCrowd multiple times for logo designs but will never use them again.

I hate their process. I had only 1 designer working on my logo, who it's important to note I couldn't pick, DesignCrowd automatically picked him.

He was based in Venezuela and worked slowly all the while, DesignCrowd had me on a deadline timer that was running out fast.

I did not like the logos and to spare the designer trouble, I asked DesignCrowd to cancel the project and refund my money as they proudly proclaim to do.

Due to their small print on a separate page, they were only refunding me part of my money and they were keeping 1/3 of it.

What a waste of time, I'll gladly refer and use a competing service instead.

When you ask for design from a company whose only goal is to make money by exploiting desperate people who are unqualified to do the work, you get what you pay for. I have spoken with contest participants who report unequivocally that they are paid only a fraction of what the client is told they're paying to the contest participant. Apart from the cut the company already takes up front, they take a much larger chunk from the contest participant's winnings behind the scenes.

If you want a designer, hire a designer. If you have no respect for designers and want something cheap and possibly illegal, use a crowdsourcing site. You will get what you pay for, I guarantee you that.

I got 100+ designs that were way off strategy. No one read the creative brief. There was one good quality logo, but it was cut-and-paste from another similar company, so it couldn't be trademarked. What a complete waste of time and energy. I asked for a refund. They offered to run another contest, but I didn't want to waste more time since so many of the submissions were from their "Elite" designers. I asked for a refund based on their 100% guarantee, but they kept a $90 "posting fee". That's infuriating, since I got absolutely nothing from this company. It's a fully automated platform, so there's no cost to them when someone posts a job. Absolute ripoff.

I payed $200 for 20 designs during a five day project period from designcrowd.com
I only received 5 designs, 4 of which were super low quality.

I have called designcrowd.com asking for a refund, but they will not issue one.
They simply say I "Guaranteed" payment. When I try to explain to them that they
Did not provide what they promised me -- 20 designs over a 5 day period, they
Simply repeat that I "Guaranteed" payment.

They tell me they will "call me back with a decision" but never do.

Basically, design crowd promised me 20 designs to choose from,
Failed to perform, and decided to keep my money.

This company is super-unethical and shows zero interest in providing the service
Provided once they have your money, and obviously has zero value for a customer.
