I just got scammed too. I immediately phoned my credit card provider and they cancelled the card and said to contact the site to cancel the order and, if they haven't done so in 3-5 business days, recall your provider and they will do so through their fraud department. I gave my credit card company the name of this site for their information on the fraud case. If you don't cancel your card, I think hey will keep taking payments out every month or three months forever.
The only way you can do anything there is by subscribing to the uber expensive paid service. The "members" contacting you after setting up all have super professional looking pics, are model hot, live far away - annnnnd are lures to get you to subscribe. Stick with the freebies like okcupid or plentyoffish
Please don't join this site, take it from the mug who did, yes me... it cost loads of money and tears. You reply to the emails and they are not opened and you will not hear another word... oh well a lesson well learnt.
I don't like to be redundant, but everyone is absolutely right about this site. I joined to have a look-see as a free-member because I am a tall woman (5'10"). Every guy who has written to me has posted several photos which look professionally taken. The guys all look like models, they all speak at LEAST 2 languages, are wealthy and educated AND almost all are younger than me by at least several years (and up to 10 years). I'm not bad looking, but there is no way these guys were actually writing to ME. I know what is actually "out there" with guys my age and most are balding, paunchy, etc. I know the same amount of women are correspondingly "fat and old looking" so I'm not trying to single out the men, by the way.
I wouldn't consider for one moment actually paying for this site. Even if it was incredibly cheap. It is clearly a scam and I imagine it will soon disappear due to gullible consumers who do sign up and then find out they've been "had".
Try Plenty of Fish - it's free. Good luck to all!

I was also on POF and saw the ad for this and thought what the heck. Ater registering a week or so ago I already have 20 emails from very attractive, wealthy millionaires... lol. All for little ol' me? Same as the others here- they tried scamming me out of roughly $80 but I decided to do some investigating since I too was leary of the nicely glossed, photo-finished pictures. Final conclusion- Stay away.
If the members were actually successful business men, worth millions, wouldn't you think they would have the diamond membership so everyone could e-mail them? Think about it.
This site is a total scam. I've been on other dating sites such as Match, Plentyoffish, and OkCupid, so I have a firm understanding of the kind of traffic I should come to expect in terms of winks, views, emails, etc. Even though this site has only a portion of the members of those other websites it just doesn't make sense that there is hardly any activity. Just to give you an example on OkCupid I would average about 113 views a week. In contrast in two weeks on this site I have been viewed 15 times and sent emails by only 3 men in which they came off as being very fake. I have a feeling that what they do is lure people in with their very attractive but phony "VIP' members and that the only real men on the site are the pathetic losers most women wouldn't be caught dead with. I can only hope that by writing this review that I can help prevent other people from wasting their money.
I just started and all ready I am getting the feeling like it's a huge scam. I got emailed from two gorgeous men and you go to read the email and it's like... you must upgrade to read this email never mind reply. I'm like fine whatever. I didn't upgrade because the next thing I did was looked at the profiles of the two guys that emailed me and they just looked like a set up. One of the guys couldn't look older than 32 and it said he was like 38 or 40. I won't be putting any money into this site. I am going to stick to Plenty of Fish.
I was just about to try it and then looked at the fee schedule and thought "are you kidding?" Anyway I thought I would check and see if there were any reviews out there and wow! Thanks for everyone who has replied. You all saved me about $90. I really appreciate it.
I signed up on a lark because I am 6'6" and it was just out of curiosity. However I noticed it was a pay dating site and basically ALL pay dating sites are scams & rip offs for men.
Plenty of Fish is hard enough to get a date with so I did not expect much however
Within a week of not logging in I received an email stating I had mail from DateTallMen but when I checked it out it turned out to be from a woman from a thousands miles away and also a "VIP" member, pffft, In order to read the email I would need to pay to become a "premium or silver member". This is a classic scam run by ALL dating agencies to bilk lonely men out of they're hard earned money.
I looked at the profile of the woman and it bore all the evidence I need to know this is a FAKE PROFILE set up by the Websites Administrators. Never in my life has a young Blondie Caucasian woman spoken to me or replied to my emails. Heck I can only get these types of woman to notice me in person. Online any woman with looks over 9/10 only wants to talk to movie/rock stars & billionaires.
Puuulease, if DateTallMan is going to make profiles, they should at least know all men know Shallow White Ameriskanks do not talk to anyone.
They would have a better chance using some Asian girls from Thailand

I am currently at a free dating site and was a member there when I spotted the ad for datetallmen.com. I've had memberships at other sites over the years. I've found the same people and results everywhere.
I only registered here to meet strictly tall men. I wasn't looking for millionaire model-types, but apparently this site is a repository for the incredibly good looking, athletic, wealthy, lonely men who take time from rock climbing and hang gliding to sit down at a computer and write to me! Hey... and they all have terrific photos that could also be reprinted in a magazine! Not one of my admirers was hiding his balding pate with a stupid bandana or baseball cap. Not one of them had a paunch. Their profiles were beautifully written with no errors in grammer, punctuation, spelling, capitalization... Amazingly, they all wrote to me despite the fact I hadn't even completed my registration with "about me" and "who I'm looking for" portions.
Hmmm. Am I really that desirable?
The membership fees are outrageous. The number of emails I received within hours of registration from sexy, young looking, wealthy men was entirely unbelievable. Total baloney! Not an average looking one in the bunch!
I had not paid for a membership. There are better ways to find a legitimate partner and to spend money. I didn't know how to delete my profile and membership so I hid it. No more ridiculous emails!
I have been thinking exactly the same thing. I was suspicious the minute EVERY single man that emailed me was very cute and yes, from the US. It is not that I am putting myself down, but the level of good looking men on there who contacted me is bit unrealistic. I even put on my profile that I was not paying up until I felt that the people at the end of the email were real - sent it for 'approval' and not heard back - funny that.
There must be a way to find out...
I joined datetallmen.com about a week ago. The strange thing is, ive had about 20 e mails from mainly american guys. All of them look like models, and all of them are mega rich. I havent, and would NOT pay to upgrade to be able to read the messages, as its so obvious its a scam. The membership fees are extortionate, i e mailed customer services to delete my profile, but low and behold, im still getting e mails, avoid this site at all costs.
This site is a total scam and I have two other friend that had the same experience. Men start emailing you(and they are cute) right away when you get on. Once they get your money you don't hear from anyone. $99 down the tubes. I have been on four other site and have not had this experience. Basically the profiles are fake. What do i do to check into the matter further and help other woman and men from not getting scammed.
Answer: I submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and this is what DATETALLMEN wrote back the following: BTW I also pasted several links to complaints about their site when submitting my complaint. Perhaps if more of us would submit the complaint the BBB maybe we could get our money back and expose this fraudulent website.
