What a fantastic company. I can't say enough good things about them. They do amazing charity work and make donating easy and safe. Also I had a fantastic customer service chat with Falco today. He was super friendly and responsive and help me so much. He went above and beyond to get me the help and info I needed. I totally recommend these guys
I wanted to donate money to a non-profit but realized that the site didn't accept PayPal. In today's world, I'd like to avoid disclosing personal details. So I wrote to them and they replied right away. First, they thanked me for contacting them. They told me they were working to incorporate PayPal, and assured me that they have high security standards.
I haven't used them yet, but I always appreciate replies.
BTW, to those people who think they must donate, please READ carefully before you bash the site with a 1-star. You DON'T have to. It says OPTIONAL.
I needed to raise funds so that my soulmate could have my kidney. After researching many fundrasing options I settled on Crowdrise, even though it isn't as well known as some other similar organizations. The lack of familiarity with it concerned me a bit, because I worried that people would not trust it for accepting their donations.
However, I definitely made a great choice! I had zero problems and while they're was a teensy bit of confusion ("What is Crowdrise? Why aren't you doing a GoFundMe?"), there were no hesitations when people wanted to help us and everyone find out very easy to use.
I loved the platform and its ease of use and I appreciated all the options for customizing our page. Not only do they include useful tips all along the way, they even make it really simple to send personalised thank-yous to each donor.
I really enjoyed the humorous style of Crowdrise communications. It made a stressful situation feel lighter and it motivated me.
I also appreciated how fair, simple, and straightforward their pricing is. And, to make the whole thing even more valuable, they have extremely helpful advice available.
Crowdrise was everything I hoped it would be and then some!
We had a friend in need, and lots of good hearts that wanted to help. In under an hour, I had a funding page set up through CrowdRise, vetted it with our friend and his wife for content, and rolled it out to a group of our high school friends - most of us hadn't been in contact for 40 years. Within days, we surpassed our goal, then a second goal, and a week and a half later, a THIRD goal! This site is easy to use, easy to track, easy to thank donors... easy, easy, easy - and the fee to use it was lower than another site we almost chose! (And our friend is so pleased with the outcome... together we did through CrowdRise what a few could not have done alone.)
CrowdRise staff cheered us on, offered help, answered my administrator questions, and were, in general, pretty spectacular. (Shout-out to Quintas, who was my sidekick for a few days there!)
This is one of the most exceptional product and customer service experiences I've ever had. I would use them again in a heartbeat!
O. K., I was *not* looking forward to fundraising (understatement), but CrowdRise made it easier and dare-I-say entertaining. We posted to facebook and had donations within minutes from people we hadn't seen in years. The customer service (chat, email, phone--I used them all) is among the best I've experienced anywhere, ever. Totally impressed and absolutely recommend.
I made an account on CrowdRise with very little expectations, and they really blew me out of the water. Aside from fundraising, they do so many other cool things as part of their site. They are hilarious and I honestly laugh out loud everytime I get an email or look on the site. They have excellent customer service, which I feel is hard to find these days. They always promote sending thank you's and donating to other's fundraisers. I had the most enjoyable experience with them and would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.
Crowdrise is one of the best websites I have used. It is really easy to navigate around and extremely interactive. The Crowdrise team almost immediately replies if I have any problems. Using points to gain prizes makes fundraising very fun and every time I earn something I get really excited. Crowdrising in general is very effective and fun.
I would definitely recommend CrowdRise to small to mid-size nonprofits. My organization uses it for P2P fundraising. Technically it works smoothly, has good reporting capabilities, and the CrowdRise team has worked very hard to ensure that their platform gels with our org's vision and brand. The real deal clinchers for CrowdRise are value for money - a $50/month subscription gets you a great rate on donation fees (under 3%) - and the very excellent customer service. The representative who deals with me always answers my (many) questions quickly and helpfully.
My first fundraiser I have ever participated with CrowdRise. I work in retail, so I understand how important it is to give 100% or more great Customer Service. During my multiple questions to CrowdRise Chat, Latika and Melie (Sorry Melie if I misspelled your name) have been great and use real time chat without delay.
Great Job Latika and Melie
I seriously couldn't be more thrilled with the customer service provided on this site! I have worked several years in customer service (and currently do now, for a website as well). I e-mailed Crowdwise in the middle of the night (mid-anxiety attack) to see if I could cancel my donation after doing some research and realizing that my funds were not going where I thought they would go. I received the kindest response the next day from Kate in customer service, letting me know that my refund was taken care of. To me, being treated with kindness and respect is the best kind of customer service, and being provided a refund in addition was beyond excellent. Thank you Kate! I can rest easy now, knowing that I can donate that money to a better cause. To me, excellent customer service is the backbone to any great business and it's what keeps people coming back. I certainly will be, and will recommend to anyone who wants to start a campaign or donate!
Honest to God, I emailed a random email, which is usually sent to some bull$#*! third party, but they fixed my problems... off bat. They didn't send me anywhere else, and I actually had 2 issues... they solved both... then they asked if they could do more. Amazing... I love these guys.
This site is so easy to use and the customer service is amazingly helpful and gracious. So I used the site to make a donation to a fund-raiser, but unfortunately was waaaay under-caffeinated at that time - resulting in "review regret" but I didn't see any way to edit the name on the Rolling Honor Scroll or Comment. A click on "Chat" brought Falco to me, who made the desired changes before I could get up to re-fill my coffee cup - like, instantly - without a trace of cyber-supercilious-ity (because, being good at something should not make one think that one can treat those less-gifted in said aspect like a dopey dump of doggie-doo). NO - Falco was totally gracious and instantly helpful. May we all aspire to this demeanor in our daily lives, and the world would completely smile. Thank you, CrowdRise!
I was having difficulty linking my bank account to crowd rise. I contacted the "bank lady" and she was an amazing help. She wrote back in minutes of my email and gave me step by step directions of what to do next. I was blown away by the exceptional customer service of crowdrise! :)
My entire experience of working with CrowdRise was a positive one right from the beginning. I had a few questions and requests that I was not sure if they would be able to help me out with and their team of employees went above and beyond to take care of things and get my concerns taken care of immediately. They are a joy to work with and I look forward to using the site in the future!
I've used other fundraising sites, where to them you are how much you make! At Crowdrise.com I had someone welcome me to the site, walk me through what I needed to do and then when I was an idiot and made a mistake, the SAME PERSON (Quintas is the real deal!) who welcomed me to the site, helped me fix the issue and actually wished me well in my fundraising project. Crowdrise.com is the only place to fundraise. Period. PS, they don't take all of your fundraising dollars, but with service like this, I would have PAID to join this site. WELL DONE CROWDRISE.
Why do they discriminate in allowing some people to set up donation funds and don't allow others?
I am pretty new to "crowd funding" and online fundraising in general. However, now that I am a Development Manager for a non-profit organization in Orange County, I am very involved with this type of outreach. I have been working with Crowdrise for a couple of years, and have had to reach out to them with questions, and they always get right back to me and are so helpful.
Just last week I messed up a page that I was setting up on the site (totally my fault) and sent an email asking for assistance. Their customer service rep responded in less than 5 minutes, with not only an answer, but they had actually already fixed the problem FOR ME!
This blew me away. They are obviously super human, or jacked up on energy drinks or something! Either way, I am now dubbing them the "Nordstrom of Crowdsourcing Sites!"
So grateful that I needed to stop and truly say... thank you Crowdrise!
Tracy, Costa Mesa, CA
First of all. The site is awesome. I friend of mine needed surgery and couldn't work. The community all chipped in via CrowdRise and sent her money to help her through her problems. It was easy to use, easy to understand it helped my friend.
However, here is the other thing.
I forgot to check the box that says to show that I donated but to hide the amount. (Hey, I was helping a friend not running for office. I don't need brag!). The information went live. I emailed support and within minutes this awesome customer service rep named Quintas replied to my support request. Not a bot. Not some snotty nosed brat in customer service, but a real life human being who solved my problem and then had the incredible decency to say thank you.
Just the fact that Quintas was so cool was enough to bring me back to CrowdRise again and again. I know that this sounds fake and or staged but it's not. I'm just really impressed.
I hope that CrowdRise gives Quintas a raise, a promotion and that somebody takes this incredible customer service rep out to lunch and drinks!
I became aware of Crowdrise when I signed up for the OKC Memorial Run half marathon. I chose to raise money to fund the OKC Memorial museum, because it's an event that is close to my heart and a place I love to visit to remember how important that event was to Oklahoma history. And... I wanted that sweet pair of laces for my half marathon run... can't lie! Crowdrise was easy to sign up for, easy to create your fundraiser (a four year old could do so easily!) and then easy to share to social media! Complete breeze! Not to mention their site is hilarious...! Thanks, Crowdrise! - Amy Goodman
I just learned of CrowdRise and have used it several times already. It is amazing and the humor used throughout their site makes the mundane come to life! Hats off to them for a great and entertaining site.

Answer: Hey Boris, You can check out the response to Eric's review just below by clicking the blue "read more" link. To reiterate, fees on CrowdRise are made up of a platform fee, plus a standard credit card processing fee. These help us keep our lights on, offer customer support, and provide charities with excellent services. We give donors the option to choose, so every checkout screen shows the Donation Amount and Fees itemized before the donor submits their contribution. The donor may choose to Edit the Fees line to $0 if they wish, so they can opt out of covering them for the nonprofit. It's totally up to the donor if they would like to pay or opt out. We're happy to help if there were any oversights which caused someone to pay more than their intended donation amount. Please let us know if you have any additional questions at all and we'll be here to help.
Answer: Hey Karen, Thanks so much for reaching out and I'm happy to help. Right now, CrowdRise is set up to benefit US-based 501c3 charities who have a valid EIN registered with the IRS. We also work with Canadian charities but that's a conversation for another day. By default, US charities receive donations from their payment processor, Network for Good, on a monthly basis via check. They may also opt to sign up for WePay to receive funds via direct deposit, where they offer more frequent transfer periods. For more information feel free to reach out to [email protected] and we'll talk through all of the details together. Talk to you soon. Quintas CrowdRise Customer Service Person
Answer: Hey Nimish, Thanks so much for reaching out and I'm happy to help. We have a few different Hospital Humanity charities on CrowdRise and we want to make sure we're giving you the most accurate information possible. Can you email [email protected] and we'll dig in and make sure to locate the correct charity so we can answer you question completely correctly? If you have the EIN for the charity or the city and state where it is located, that will be so helpful. We keep our lights on and run the site and pay our bills by taking a small cut of the donations, usually around 5-6%, then there is a standard 2.9% + $0.30 credit card fee per transaction. Standing by to receive your email and answer all of your questions. Quintas, CrowdRise Customer Service Person
Answer: Hey Paul, Thanks so much for reaching out. Right now, CrowdRise currently uses Network For Good and WePay to process all of our donations. NFG and WePay are awesome but we've gotten some similar feedback from other users and have already started looking into adding PayPal too. We love customer feedback like this and it really is what drives change around here. We can't say it'll happen anytime right away, but please know that we're definitely on it and we hope to get PayPal as an option sooner than later. Please let us know if you have any other questions or feedback for us. We're ready to help. Quintas CrowdRise Customer Service Person
Answer: Hey Nicole, Thanks so much for reaching out and that's a great question. CrowdRise is an open platform that anyone in the world can use, but the only way you can collect your money is if you have a US social security number and US bank account OR a Canadian social insurance number and Canadian bank account. If you don't live in the US or Canada, you would have to have a relative who lives in the US or Canada set up your fundraiser, link their bank account and collect the money for you. Please emails us at [email protected] if you have any additional questions and we'll be standing by. Quintas, CrowdRise Customer Service Person

CrowdRise is about giving back, raising lots of money for great causes, and having the most fun in the world while doing it.
CrowdRise is the world’s largest community raising money for great causes. CrowdRise was named one of the “best online fundraising websites” by Mashable and Forbes. The CrowdRise community was named a “Top 25 Best Global Philanthropist” by Barron’s. We beat Oprah. The NYC Marathon, Boston Marathon, Ironman, Red Cross, UNICEF, as well as celebrities like Sean Penn, Seth Rogan, Ian Somerhalder, Sophia Bush, Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde and Will Ferrell all CrowdRise. We used to try to keep CrowdRise a secret but we're making a slight change and encouraging you to tell two friends and one person who you don't like all that much about the site.
