The cottage is on the most popular beach and corner of the island. Over the past 2 years or so, the little restaurants and bars just across the street have become much more busy. Some people love that aspect of the cottage, but I have received complaints of marijuana smoke, loud music and traffic on the one lane road. The complaints are not frequent, but if you are looking for quiet, it is no longer on that corner. It is a ghost town though from about 10 PM until 8 AM.
One of the most popular things about the cottage and its location is being able to watch beautiful sunsets from the beach every night. Keep in mind that along with that joy comes the threat of "No see ums". These little bugs are also known as biting midges, or sometimes sand flies, punkies, or biting gnats. They are tiny flies that are difficult to see, hence their common name. Be prepared with repellant or baby oil.
