ConsumerLab.com provides independent test results, reviews, ratings and comparisons of vitamins, supplements, herb and nutrition products to consumers and healthcare providers.
ConsumerLab enjoys a strong reputation among its users, who appreciate the unbiased, detailed information it provides on supplements and health products. Customers frequently highlight the site’s thorough research and reliable testing, which empowers them to make informed decisions about their health. However, some users express frustration with the frequency of email updates and recent login issues related to cookie settings. Additionally, there are requests for broader product reviews, particularly from popular retailers. Overall, while the service is highly valued for its quality and reliability, there are areas for improvement in user experience and communication.

I've had a subscription to Consumer Labs for several years, and will continue to do so.
When checking a new supplement or vitamin, or trying to gauge the effectiveness of an over the counter pill as a preventative measure, there's just too much information, and misinformation out there.
I turn to ConsumerLabs for truthful information and peace of mind
After being a member of Consumerlab for years I'm highly disappointed. They are moderating their posts even when links to NIH articles are included. So why comment? I'm thinking of unsubscribing...
As a retired nurse and energy medicine practitioner I love having a source I can rely on to cut through the advertising hype and actually test products. Wouldn't be without it! 1
Thank you for that nice feedback, Pam!
ConsumerLab is a good resource to have. There is a lot of good information but I wish it was more affordable. I don't feel I get to use it enough for what I pay...
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Deborah. Thanks for letting us know.
Many topics to choose from that allows me to find the best value in nutritional supplements. In-depth studies and results charts make my job easier to research a particular topic. Overall, very satisfied with my subscription.
Thank you for that nice review, Tom. We're glad that you appreciate our work.
I love the website. The information has been very helpful in making my supplement decisions. I would prefer fewer emails. No more than 1 per week.
Thanks for letting us know, Sandy. That's exactly why we are here.
The only site where we get the answers to all of our questions about supplements. You can't trust any of these manufacturers claims until it's been tested by ConsumerLab.
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Tom. Thanks for letting us know.
When I need to find information on the vitamin supplements I use on a daily bases, I aways go to ConsumerLab.com
Thank you for that nice feedback, Glen!
Generally, I'm very happy with ConsumerLab, however, often, there's more data than I can absorb but all the data that's provided makes a good reference when needed, plus there are some vitamin supplement suppliers that are not represented.
We're glad to have you as a member, Henry! Thanks for your review. You can always feel free to shoot us suggestions for more products
There is so much hokum out there. When I need information, even though I search. Edu sites and other science based sites, I always always check ConsumerLab. They have the latest unbiased information. Love you guys.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
Each time I need to order supplements, I do my primary research on ConsumerLabs before purchasing. In this fast-paced world, it is important to do research every time as often supplement companies change their formulas and/resources. Being a member here gives me the information I need before buying. Thank you!
Thank you, SB. We're glad that you are enjoying CL!
I've always been health conscious and believed in the power of food and nutrition rather than medicine to prevent and cure all manner of health problems. There's lot of free advice on the web about nutrition but so much of it is filled with hype. ConsumerLab offers research based evidence that is compelling, and it's my first choice of sources to turn to when I have a question about something. The weekly updates also pique my interest as to the latest offerings, and I find them helpful too.
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Glenn. Thanks for letting us know.
Always find the reviews well written, apparently without prejudice, and often of value/pertinence
Thank you for that nice feedback, Dave!
I use your website to buy the best vitamins and health supplements as possible - my only complaint would be review of more products.
Been a member for years, their service is good, fast, relevant and timely.
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Steve. Thanks for letting us know.
I've emailed them twice regarding my decision to cancel my membership within the first month of subscription. The reason is none of the supplements I use have been tested by them. There is simply no point for me to continue the subscription. It's been several weeks since I repeatedly emailed them. Unfortunately, they haven't replied to my e-mails. There is no way to cancel your membership on the website. They are not holding their promise. Do NOT submit your credit card info to this website! It looks like I'll have to start a dispute process with my bank.
Hi Mevlut - As you know, we fully refunded you on March 25th, the day after we received your message of March 24th. Unfortunately, we were transitioning our staff locations due to COVID-19 on March 13 when you sent your original message and it was missed. Normally, refunds are issued the day received or within one business day, and they can be emailed or called-in.
I found consumer lab to be very boring in an informative and so I cancelled. Representative told me that I would have to be charged $30 for the first report it only got back $14 and change for canceling after 5 months which is ridiculous
Consumer lab AKA dr. Cooperman is not very reputable and I would not suggest you join consumerlab anytime soon
I am a nurse practitioner in primary care and I regularly use and recommend this website to my patients who are interested in supplements. I find the site to be reputable and reliable. It's also recommended to consumers in a 2004 NIH article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC*******/
We're glad to hear that ConsumerLab.com is helpful to you and your patients, Pamela. Thank you for spreading the word!
I've been using Consumer Lab for about a year now! I rely on them to provide information on my supplements! I always check with them before getting new or different supplements. My supplements have changed and I feel a difference!
Thank you for letting us know, Judy. It’s always nice to hear how our information is helping our members.
The information is extensive but presented in a readable fashion for one who is not a lab tech. I have learned so much from your valuable research; thank you. It sure helps one evaluate suitable products etc. My friend and I shared the cost - we both got so much out of your valuable reports. I heard about your company through listening to ZORBA PASTOR ON YOUR HEALTH podcasts!
Answer: Hi Denise, We have actually covered this topic on our website https://www.consumerlab.com/answers/does-prevagen-really-improve-memory/prevagen-memory/.
Answer: Hi - We don't charge every month; just a single charge for a 1-year or 2-year subscription as noted on the page where you joined. We show the calculated cost per month for reference, so you can see that the 2-year subscription is less expensive. If you would like to cancel, please email [email protected] with your name and email and we will process your request (typically within 1-2 business days).
Answer: Hi Frank - I believe you are referring to the review of ConsumerLab from 2004 Journal of the Medical Library Association. Our content and website have continued to expanded annually and membership has increased over those 16 years. The current 1-year membership is $47.40, or $78 for 2-years (an 18% savings off the 1-year rate).
Answer: Hi Bob - As a subscriber, you are entitled to print out a copy of the report (or any pages thereof) for your personal use. However, we don't permit copying or distributing our content, which is proprietary.
Answer: Not yet, but we may next year. We have written about PQQ: https://www.consumerlab.com/answers/is-pqq-similar-to-coq10/what_is_PQQ/
Answer: Hi Theresa - As noted on our site, we permit subscribers to print a copy of our reports for their personal use, but we do not permit not copying or downloads. If you were somehow able to download content from our site, it is quite possible that it would only work while your membership was current.
Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
Answer: Yes, we recently published a new report on turmeric and curcumin supplements as well as turmeric spice (ground root powders) at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/
Answer: Hi Barbara - You can give a gift membership to ConsumerLab.com from this page: https://www.consumerlab.com/giftcerts/. We have a link to this at the bottom of every page, but the font is a bit small. Hope that helps.
