Didactic training and Alton was great. However communication about the range and ammo requirements need to be better. I risked not being able to qualify with all my weapons due to misinformation about which ammo was acceptable. I was able to resolve it with the la puente range. This could have been avoided by sending range information with the class confirmation.

I thought the presentation was very thorough much of which I've been taught by my father very early in my life I was impressed by it, it was much like the first lessons that I was taught by a police officer (my father). I've thought about a carry permit for some time and since my husband has one I thought it prudent to also have one as well.
The process in quick and easy and the instruction video is complete and easy to follow and understand.

This was a very easy to navigate process and am very happy with its set up in obtaining my card
The information in the class was very informative from safety to legal issues you need to know. All questions were answered and the class had a good flow. During the shooting exercise Kevin and Herb kept a watch on the five of us for safety issues, correct grip and made sure everyone was following the safety rules.
I feel safe and protected for me and my family. I would recommend this for many families to be at ease.

The training was good, and Mike did a good job making it interesting. However, where it was held was annoying. It was on the second floor, open area of Bass Pro and their music could be heard during the entire presentation. Near the end an annoying sound almost drowned out the instructor. Not sure what it was, and the instructor seemed annoyed by it also. Also, the slides looked like photos from a page and difficult to read some of the wording. It would be better to create slides with larger type. It would also help if instructions were given as to what door to go to at Bass Pro. I and another person walked all around until we found someone standing at a side door.
Good information great instructor. Class is a bit too long.
