This was a great class lead by instructor John Edwards. John made the class very intresting whether by telling us his own experiences and/or by showing us his determination and enthusiasm in making us realize the importance of having a conceal carry permit.
I will recommend this to all my family and friends awesome program Elizabeth is the greatest teacher ever and I'm 40 years old and never felt the intensity that I felt in that class You can feel her passion awesome I will take this class over and over and over again
The online training worked very well. The in-house range shooting with the instructor was very good. Overall a very good program.
I was a bit apprehensive, at first. But once the class started, Mike was an exceptional instructor. He was very informative and answered everyone's questions. He also had a great sense of humor in what would be considered a very serious subject. When we got to the firing range, he helped me with using the proper grip on my handgun and watched me as I loaded, unloaded and fired my weapon. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting to obtain their CCW license or just to learn about gun use and safety.
Everything was good, but a few things would've made it great!
1. Serve coffee! Sitting that long, with no access to coffee anywhere in the building is difficult! Especially when other caffeinated beverages are so expensive, coffee is cheap to have available!
2. I understand the presenter needs to take a break, but there were times when others spoke he could've relieved himself, especially if planned strategically! However, if you tell the group, "we're all adults" and expect them to "go" when they need to, there's no need to have a specific "break" for certain folks! Especially when its an "8 hour" class, which if counted, even with a lunch break, is from 8-3, as listed on the flyer, not 8-5!
I had my permit in South Carolina twice and once in Massachusetts. I also am a Veteran. The basics of guns has not changed but John Edwards capt the class interesting and I learn several things about being in Louisiana
The instructor communicated well, kept political B. S. out of it and stayed on topic. I appreciate his approach and middle of the road style.

The day went very quickly with a couple of short breaks and lunch during the class time, and lots of great information. Some storytelling to keep it interesting. The range was very controlled and managed in a professional manner. Would highly recommend it.
Today's class was live, personable, warm, enlightening…I could go on and on! If you haven't taken your CCW you definitely should! Be sure to schedule with John!
