I have had good customer service from Collectionsetc and bad customer service. The odds are about 70/30 that I get good service. I care for my mother with dementia so I shop there two or three times a year for health care products or Christmas. This year they sent a wrong T-shirt, but made it right. Good; I know mistakes happen. However, I went through a huge hassle when a necklace I ordered for my daughter didn't come in. Three phone calls and extensive week-long waiting periods each time, didn't solve the problem. Finally, after talking to a supervisor, I was told that my credit card couldn't be charged. What? I had received my entire order of 9 other items. This item was missing! It made no sense. The supervisor just told me to talk to my credit card company. No matter how I described the issue, that a credit card had paid for my order already, she gave me the same answer. Then, I even gave her HER scenario - that it wasn't paid for - the item was clearly shown listed on my order - how would my CREDIT CARD know to pay EXACTLY $17.99 LESS FOR THIS ONE ITEM? To top it all off, she said that if I was willing to give them a credit card, they could SHIP IT OUT (a 4th promise) but it wouldn't reach me for 7 to 10 days and they absolutely refused to expedite at their cost. It's December 15 and it's a good bet that my daughter's Christmas present, her only one, won't be here for Christmas. By the way, in all of my phone calls, the fact that my credit card had problems was never mentioned. Imagine that. I was just promised that it would be shipped right out as it had been overlooked by the packers.
So, shoppers beware. I have had my last experience with these folks. It's just not worth the low prices. I know companies get busy at Christmas, but the supervisor on the line knew just enough English to say, "Call your Credit Card Company" and not much more. The young man who spoke to me first was actually much more knowledgeable in his English.
It was incredibly frustrating!
