First time shopper - I've been getting this catalog for some time and looking at these lamps, wanting a reason to buy them. While I do like the lamps, I was disappointed that they are so small. I read the reviews, so I knew that other people had the same concerns; however, I also know that some people exaggerate their experiences. Unfortunately, they are very small and give off so little light that I cannot use them for reading, sewing, or anything requiring more that 15 watts. The lamps have been moved into the den and, while giving off less light than I would like, do look very nice. They gives my otherwise plain room more of a rustic, homey, and warm atmosphere. I will continue to shop here as they have some wonderful merchandise.
