This is a very beautiful mat, just as pictured. As far as skid resistance goes, it's not the best to be found. Even though it does slide a little, it is pretty secure when weight is applied, like standing on it. Although, I don't know how secure it is on a wet bathroom floor, as it was purchased to avoid slipping on a slick family room floor. It suits my needs, plus brightens the day with it's beautiful design.
