We've had Clean Cut Tree Care come to our place a couple of times. Brody and Josh showed up to do the quotes. Both were on time, and seemed like nice guys. So far, so good. (The quotes were kinda pricey, though.)

For the last quote, I wanted to proceed on it, but first I asked Jana (the co-owner who runs the office) for a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for their general liability and workers' comp insurances. She sent me the COI for the general liability right away. However, she said that they were "reworking" their workers' comp insurance, so it might take a little while. A couple days later, I still hadn't received anything, so I called her back. In fact, I ended up calling Jana back several times. Each time, she told me that they were "working on it," and that she hadn't "forgotten about me."

Almost two weeks later, I still hadn't received anything. So once again, I called back, but this time had to leave a message. And guess what? I never heard from Jana again.

It seems obvious that Jana was simply lying about the workers' comp. I don't think they have any at all, and they're just hoping that you'll fall for their little "we're reworking it" act. Absolutely pathetic. Please stay away from this dishonest (and expensive) company. In fact, don't hire any company that doesn't carry workers' comp, or you may end up being financially liable for someone's injury!
