The old trees were shedding more needles than a real tree. The new ones we bought were molded needles which should alleviate the little green confetti around the tree for next year.

I bought the Candy cane Nutcracker. My 37 year old son & I have kept a tradition going. Every December we have ordered peppermint ice cream, & when I saw the candy cane nutcracker I just had to get it for him for his birthday since we also collect nutcrackers. It is so perfect & will last forever just like our memories of eating peppermint ice cream every December.
