Christianmingle as a company is pretty honest. They promptly refunded my account when I changed from 3-months to one month.
On the negative sided:
*I was contacted by Many scamers from day one.
*Navigating the Website is Painfully Slow.
*Often some tabs (like 'who Liked me') Do Not Work.
*Pool of eligible quality singles is so small; no matter how much you expand the radius.
*It's over priced.
There's a reason why Christian Mingle has such a horribly low rating. The website is a total ripoff, especially for the amount of money they charge for a paid membership! I paid $49 + tax for a 1 month membership. There are so many catfish on Christian Mingle that you'll think you're at the Cajun Catfish Buffet in Louisiana. I have a theory that CM creates fake profiles of very attractive people themselves, and sends you smiles while you're a free member just to make you think that "person" is interested in you so that you'll pay the fee to become a paid member, and then these crooks delete the fake profile after they've gotten your money. This is almost EXACTLY what happened to me. I had a very attractive woman that had two photos on her profile send me a smile (you can send a "smile" for free). I did a Google and Bing image search of her photos and neither search engine showed any signs that those photos were being used on another site. So, I paid the ripoff $50 membership fee for a 1 month membership and sent this woman a message introducing myself. Well, 2 days go by and "she" doesn't log in. Finally, on the 3rd day, I went to her profile to see if she logged in yet and, lo and behold, the profile page is still visible, but both of her photos are gone and all her information was deleted! Total scam! If you think that's an isolated incident, think again. I messaged another "woman" who only had one photo on her profile. Did an image search and the search engines didn't show her photo being used on any other websites. So far, so good. I sent her a nice message. She replied without answering ANY of the questions in my message and just said "I am new to this website. If you do not mind talking on WhatsApp. *******635". Well, I created a new contact in WhatsApp with her phone number, and what do ya know, her WhatsApp profile doesn't even show a photo. In fact, it shows a storefront icon instead of a person icon leading me to believe that it's a fake number for a fake business. Christian Mingle is a complete joke! Do yourself a favor and spend your money at a dating site that has much better reviews. Trust me, you'll thank me later! Oh, and I uploaded photos to show you proof.
1. The Owners and the Site, do not represent Christian Values, nor have nothing to do with Christ or Christianity, they honor more of the Values of Satan.
2. "Mingle"... because you mingle with scammers about 90% of the time.
3. CM know about the scammers, but they do nothing or almost little to help the paying and hones consumer.
4. CM does not provide the paying consumer with the Tools to track, trace, search a little more about those that we are communicating with, with usually after a few days... they disappear of your radar and CM never notifies you that they were scammers...
5. CM does not go the extra mile to verify the scammers, which keep coming back with new virtual numbers like google voice free numbers (anybody can get a virtual number and make calls, send/receive chats, etc. so simple that defies the intelligence of CM.
6. CM help support is worthless... immediately they think you are guilty until proven innocent... most likely your fault. Almost impossible to speak to someone live.
7. CM are making lots of money with deceptive names and advertising at the cost of the honest Christian believers. Do your own homework before you pay a penny for this site. I am stuck for 6 mos. Already... and lost lots of time entertaining scammers.
I have more negative reason, but I will leave it for the other victims to share...
There are so many Fake Profiles, Liars and Scammers it's not worth the time, money and effort. I had better results on a Free Site like Plenty of Fish. All sites have their percentage of phony characters so DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on Christian Mingle where 99% of the listings are scammers.
Every single smile I have gotten "over 100" and they immediately want to go offsite to "get to know me better". A real girl doesn't want to chat offline after a simple hello. I know phishing and scammers. Many get their profiles removed days later. Total waste of money.
I joined ChristianMingle 1 day ago. As soon as I paid for premium membership. My account got suspended for suspension activities. My profile was still pending. They showed a more expensive monthly membership when it was a less expensive membership. I found this out once I went into my settings and subscriptions on my iPhone. Day 2 and I'm still locked out of my account. They sent me a email asking for my name dob and card last 4 digits and when I opened the link to fill out the information it took me right back to login information. Of course, I can't login smh..
Selling people on a site is a horrible idea! Let my mistake save you all money and heartache. Stay away from ChristianMingle! It's a giant money machine with no real women (not even a dozen of them!). My search is over now, I met the girl of my dreams on the other site. But I did lose plenty of time on ChristianMingle.
Don't waste your time and money on ChristianMingle scammers. They only want to chat and play mind games. So eventually they leave you high and dry: empty wallet, low self-esteem and mental discouragements. Definitely stay away from them!
I wish I could write a balanced review of the Christian Mingle dating website. Unfortunately I cannot. I had the premium membership for 3 months and honestly can not believe how negative my experience was. The biggest issue is that they do NOT verify people are who they say they are. I estimate between 80-90 percent (no joke) of the people who reached out to me were NOT who they say they were. Many of them asked for my phone number and other personal information and wanted to communicate outside of the app. When I contacted Christian Mingle about the issue, they said there was nothing they could do and I just had to trust my gut feeling. Also, I got hundreds of "smiles" from men all over the US and Canada. I'm not interested in anyone outside of 100 miles from my home in SW Florida. When I inquired, they said there was no way to filter by distance. When I went out to search for men within 150 miles of my home, there were no matches within my area which is crazy because I live near Ft. Myers which is a highly populated major city. After 3 months, I haven't met a single legitimate person to even have coffee with. Wow! VERY disappointed in Christian Mingle.
I was hoping to find someone that I am compatible with. I am 19 years old and live in AZ. I got one 23 year old from the Dominican Republic, but the other one were like 28 or 31. Absolutely disgusting that a 28 or 31 year old would want to go out with a 19 year old. A scam. Unsafe
They will rip your money off! PLEASE don't let fool you! I did try for less than a week and asked for my full refund. They said it's non refundable $149.95! For what?
If Las Vegas is the scam capital of the world, then, most certainly, Christian Mingle is the scam capital of dating sites! I have never in my life run across more fake profiles! The pictures of women are so obviously fake! However, the people posting them are so stupid, sometimes, they get pictures from other decades (like the 70's and 80's)! It is hysterical! Many responses I receive are from people from other countries with broken English. They all must be reading from the same script as well! Ten ladies that contacted me all were named "Lisa" and all of them were nurses in the U.S. Army! That is so pathetic, it is actually funny! Most "ladies" that contact me want my personal information immediately! I just laugh and block/ report them (not that it does any good). This is hardly a Christian website! This is hardly a site -- period! It is just a breeding ground for scam artists!
The site is a complete scam. I signed up and was inundated by fake profiles -- tons of traffic VERY few real people. They literally use Christianity to scam you. Horrible. Amazed at the fake reviews giving it 5 stars. It's completely fake.
This site is fake. They only care about money not people using it. I lost my husband of 40 years, five years ago. I am not someone who has ever used dating web-sites. I was stupid to think because this site is named Christian Mingle they would be Christ like minded. I was very wrong. They don't know what that means. Stay away from this site. They are scammers.
Was on a few years ago and was much better.
Now nothing but fake smiles from supposed women 20 years younger and miles away. Customer service says has no control of who contacts you.
1 real person and if these people are real. I really feel for the social skills that have deteriorated. They ask a question, you respond and never hear from them again.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
A scam, about 80% of the women posted have not logged in for over two months. I have never ever received even an acknowledgement that I sent a message, not one.
Don't waste your money upgrading to the premium feature, its not worth it. The customer service is beyond terrible, there's no customer care number to call and good luck if they respond to your email. It's one big scam! The worse datin site ever and even the women on there barely respond cos most of them logged in several months ago no one barely gets online so can u talk to someone in realtime? Whack
I signed up for a month, looking for good Christian ladies in my local area. All I got were smiles from women on the other side of the country. Out of 13 women I talked to, all of them went straight for the, 'lets get off here and text, send me your cell number and your email. Each and every one used poor spelling, grammar and it was obvious they were fake profiles. After about 5-8 messages, I was hit up for money, the latest iPhone! 5 women said they were nurses serving on 'peace keeping' or 'humanitarian' missions in Yemen, or Lebanon. One woman sent me her picture that was from a totally different contact person... they BOTH used the same fake picture! Do NOT waste your time or money on this SCAMMER SITE! Worst site EVER and the scammers stand out like a sore thumb!
After my husband passed away I reluctantly decided to try online dating. Thinking a Christian website might be a bit more genuine than others, I paid $50 for a month of fake profiles, fake contacts, fake people and fake customer service. There is NOTHING real about this website. Just scammers trying to take advantage of vulnerable people wanting to make a genuine connection.
I was a 35 year old virgin, and not the stereotype. Won "best looking" in HS, captain of the college swim team, working at NASA (seriously)… but my childhood girlfriend (later fiancé) wanted to wait till marriage, and so i hadn't had much choice as i loved her. When she was pregnant 5 months before the wedding, i was stranded a virgin for YEARS. Absolutely no girl would date me after she found that out. Many got violent, even. But constant offers to hookup, which i declined. I wasn't a toy. And after all that i'd been through… it seemed a gift someone would value. My ace in the hole. Wrong.
Finally i met a girl on christian mingle. A church worship leader. Gorgeous, divorced, no kids, and didn't mind that i hadn't been with anyone. Perfect. 7 months we dated and i'd already called home for the box of jewelry that tradition held I should design her ring from. After 7 months we finally slept together. She'd convinced me she wasn't going to do what i feared most. A hit and run after years of turning down hookups.
Sure enough, the next morning as I drove home, she texted me and dumped me. She was at her fiancé‘s apartment already. Turned out she was engaged, but had"f*** a virgin" on her bucket list, and I was just the cutest one she'd ever met. She threaten the police if I ever returned. I wentto the police myself and reported "rape by coercion", a thing in texas where typically a boy promises a girl marriage and rainbows, has sex with her, then dumps her in the side of the road. No different here. But…they laughed at me and kicked me out the pricinct. I went home and hung myself. Unsuccessfully, obviously. But, there's always next time.
*photos show the profile, and the church program i found online later with her real last name, showing her and her dude at a whole other church
The activity level is close to zero. I'm an average-looking 43 year old man with good income. I sent 80 letters and got 1(!) response. If you value your time and have some self-respect, just use a bigger and more popular dating site and search for a Christian woman there and sooner or later you will get to the point of making a big and important decision, following your heart and choosing your One and Only woman. But just avoid ChristianMingle, don't get stuck on this fraudulent site.
Answer: I had the same experience! Technically it's the worst site with worthless customer service. I discovered a great platform for meeting Christian ladies https://j4l.com/402007 It's flawless - it's working perfectly technically, their girls are simply too gorgeous for words, both inside and out! I enjoy greatly the company of the women I met there and soon I will meet one of them in person.
Answer: I thought they were a legit website unfortunately they are ripped off!
Answer: I just hit unsubscribe and you really have no choice but to let the time you paid for run out. After I unsubscribed, they sent me an email that I did and I also made sure to remove the credit card they had on file. I only took one month.
