ChnLove is an Internet "Dating" site that is primarily used by a multitude of matchmaker agencies in China. Like any business, the agencies are in it to make money. ChnLove has little to no control over how a given agency uses (or abuses) the site.
My observations are based on personal experience, both with using the site, and with visiting China and meeting some ladies from the site there.
The agencies make money in a few ways: 1) the women who come to them to find a western husband pay them to "represent" them; 2) they receive a cut of the fees that the men pay to send an EMF letter, watch a video, have a "live chat", and so on; 3) from providing a translator should a man decide to visit China and meet one or more of the ladies he's "met" online.
There's a couple things guys should be aware of when using ChnLove.
1) Some (not all) of the profile are completely fake. The agencies post profiles of super-hot women to reel in the men, then do a bait and switch. If she looks too good to be true, she's probably a fake. One caveat - almost ALL the women look exceptionally good because the agencies are extremely good with Photoshop.
2) Chances are slim that you're actually corresponding with the lady when you exchange EMF mail; probably the same holds true if you spring for a "chat". A good sign that you're being played is if the woman rarely or never answers pointed questions, or keeps making excuses not to exchange information for direct contact.
3) If you are fortunate enough to communicate with a real woman that you're interested in, and decide to go visit her, hire your own translator! The agencies will try to charge 2 - 3 times the going rate for translation services. You can search out translation services for their city on the Internet.
4) I wouldn't suggest going to China exclusively to meet the "woman of your dreams" that you met on ChnLove unless 1) you've had video chats with her apart from ChnLove; 2) you'll already be in China for other reasons, or 3) you plan to meet several women and are ok with chalking the whole trip up as a "travel experience". I did travel to China and met several women I'd met on ChnLove and had had video chats with. All in all, the experience was fine.
5) Be aware that many Chinese women, especially those with kid(s) under 18 are seeking our a western man who will become their ticket to a better life. She may well be willing to get a job and work, but her main goal is a better life for the kid(s) - not necessarily an undying love for the guy. One thing I've done to try and discern this is to suggest that we could live in China, instead of the USA. This helped he weed out a couple ladies.
BYW, I did marry a great Chinese lady that I met through a different site. It hasn't been a cake walk - there's a lot of cultural stuff to sift through, in addition to all the other challenges of a marriage relationship. But she's definitely a keeper!
Good luck to everyone.
Scammers easily get on the dating website but chnlove.com has an efficient way of keeping them away so I wont have to worry about who I talk to.
Used this site in 2006 to meet my (now former) wife.
Obviously we got married, but I was put off by her very odd behaviour, namely requests to send money (one time - I refused).
Once on American soil, her behaviour changed.
1) She almost immediately demanded I sponsor her parents green-card/visas - I refused.
2) She kept insisting on having her name added to all my financial assets (I refused).
3) Very distant/odd sleeping habits.
4) Refusal to listen to my advice on how to function in American society (I NEVER forced this issue btw) Very odd.
And then there were the lies (it took a LOT of investigating to find the truth):
1) That she was fluent in English -totally false once I met her in person
2) That she was University Educated -totally false once I met her in person
3) Three of her four profile photos were totally false (confirmed once I demanded a current picture).
4) The fact that her both her parents were thrice divorced (a BIG red flag).
5) Unwillingness to cooperate or provide basic background information.
Both my parents and close friends said she was... bad news. But I did not listen.
I wish I had.
All in all... it's okay to trust, but you absolutely MUST verify EVERYTHING she claims.
How do i make that conclusion?
Simple i signed up with a few random letters for my name and no profile pictures, so how the hell can someone say i look really nice? Seriously anyone whose name is made up of letters that wouldnt mean anything in any language should be enough for even the daftest woman to realise it wasnt real.
Try it for yourselves if you dont believe me!
I have been told by a "lady" registered on CHNLOVE.COM and also ASIANDATE.COM - who I WAS LED TO BELIEVE I was in contact with for many months, and exchanged numerous EMF's/letters and also had numerous online chats with - that she has NEVER written to me, NEVER received ANY EMF's/letters from me, and NEVER had ANY online chats with me.
She also told me that it was ALL DONE BY THE STAFF at CHNLOVE.COM AND ASIANDATE.COM.
These sites are clearly SCAM sites, with the sole intention of ripping as much money from as many western men as it can, by FRAUD, THEFT, and DECEPTION. AVOID THESE SITES LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Online dating is something I never thought I'd do but right now that's about the only thing I do on the internet. I have a lot of fun jazzing up my profile and browsing through other profiles. I'm still new and finding my way around and all that but it's a whole heap of fun.
Ive wasted tons of time on most of the free dating sites and literally gotten nothing out of it. You pay a bit more, but you get real dates with real girls. And isnt that the point?
A newbie of this platform. Signed up the day before yesterday, so far I received 20 admirer letters already. All is very short, not like personal introduction mails since I got very little information about the ladies who sent me the letters. Even so, I still keep a hope and continue seeking my dreamed ladies here. We will see what it will finally lead to. And I will keep more information updated here.
Im from France and I want to find Chinese lady. Site is good but only older people are here, hard to find pretty Chinese girls of my age! Still looking though. I wish theyd make section for teenagers.
Photos of the ladies are all PS I have spend near thousands, this Website thinks we are working for Federal Reserve, you purchase $179 32 Credits, they start charging you by looking at photos, it was 1 Credit and one you put in more credits it becomes 1.5 credit, conversation does not use the minutes they stated for 0.5 for 5 minutes, but I count the minutes, the longer you talk the more points they deduct, all of a sudden they tell you to buy more credit! SCAM, don't get fool by the pictures, I saw the girl in China I spended nearly thousands, saw he brought her to dinner and I start feeling like a sucker! The photos on the site is PS, they PS the face, body, legs, breast and tallness. It's scary how these SCAM can become worldwide, to think again, China is full of Scam Artists, careful guys, I found out some people who wrote comments here are not real customers, they probably get paid to write these good comments, just like the Ali BaBa Taobao situation! Beware guys! This is an evil psychology of luring gentalman to their sites! I can't submit any photos, if I can you will see what really happened! They use internet and use the psychology style to steal your credits! That girl I met was... My Gosh! Even she have make up it was completely different and heights I don't even want to mention! Photos were all PS!
The easiest way to find out that it is fake is to ask them to write a specific word or phrase when they write back to you. Write this in your profile. Just write, ''if you write to me include the phrase, 'batman is not a bat', in your response''. After i put this in my profile i got 2 letters with my phrase in it within a few days. Now after about 18 months and a thousand admirer mails i have not seen it again. If these girls are so in love with you do you not think that they would include your phrase. The truth is they are just sending form letters to 10,000s of suckers, raking in multi millions of dollars. They make so much money that they can afford to saturate the internet with their own false reviews. If you are as wonderful and in demand as this fake site makes you feel, then why if you go to a real site no girl will respond. Lol the heart is deceitful above all things.
It's been two years and I'm still very much in love with my girl who I met on this site. Sure online dating can be scammers' playground so you still need to be very careful. But there are decent ones out there like this one and if I hadn't been open to the possibility of love, I probably would still be single and miserable. Give this site a go lads.
This site just takes your money and you don't talk to lady in the photo if at all it is a lady... Just ask for there ID like driver liecence, they will make every excuse not to produce... I had no photo on there and it seemed like every girl wanted to talk and marry me( I don't think so)I also wrote my phone number on paper and sent as photo that you get charged $7 every time you send or open one of there photos. I said if you serious about relationship you will ring that number, but the reply is I cannot read number can you send again ( yer right)
Started dating this lady less than six months ago and now my major plan is to visit China and see her. Am I in a rush?
I am verry amused when i see positiv comments about chinalove, and want to ask a simple question, did you get direct in touch with her? I am sure you will say no, i had hundred of admirers many told me they have a Ferrari in garage, if such a women send you a admirer mail just tell her to pay the compagny the money they need to gave her your email adress, then will come excuses, and if you want to see the ID of the women they will send you a picture with a women with a paper with her chinalove code, i have beein also to ukraine a amazing country, but didnt see on the street the beauties from the datting site, when i want to meet her personally, she told me i have to pay someone to translate with 150$ for half a hour a conversation, suddendly sh forgot english, we are growing mens, i am a kind of men who learn my mistakes, my stupidity cost me about 4000$, my advice look every day in the mirror and ask yourself why i young beautiful lady has choose you.
My Chinese lady is so full of surprises and she keeps bringing ideas that make the relationship fun. I should have known her earlier.
Really, there is something different about this website and I knew it from the first moment I came here. Maybe it is just the better organization of the website.
It marvels me that such pretty girls should be on a dating website. Well, its an advantage to some of us workaholic guys.
I don't think you can handle dating someone on this site if you're still snooping around on other dating sites to explore your options. You need to manage and maximize your time. You're dealing with another human being here so if you're the type who believes in testing many waters, just know what you're getting yourself into.
Answer: The biggest scam ever. Stay away.
Answer: A lady I wanted to date claimed she was single but I found out she lied after a little research on her. I wrote a letter of my findings to the site admin and they erased her profile subsequently. Speaking from experience, I think it's better to find women who are of similar age and interest because there will be a greater chance of having a successful relationship. Sexy, beautiful and young girls have higher expectation and make breakneck demands on their partners, which makes it hard to be hooked up with them for long.
Answer: Hi guys. I have post a comment "scam, scam, scam. " I have not further proof this is a scam. I meet two ladies from this site recently in China. I show them the letters I sent them which is written in Chinese, 70% of the letter I sent they have not been given to by the agency. And same with the letters that supposed to be sent by them, they have no knowledge of these sent mails. They did not write them. While you guys thinking you are talking to some nice ladies in china, you are actually talking to a male? An old grandma? Hey, you know how phone sex work. These people is scaming both us guys and the girls over there. Beware.
Answer: I found a lady 12 years ago and when she came to US after a couple years my family was telling me she married me for my money and was going to divorce me after her Green Card. Today we have been married 10 years and she was a wealthy Chinese College Professor who spoke good English. Today she makes more money than I do as a Regional Manager of several Panda Expresses and we have a great relationship. She is happy because her Chinese husband cheated on her and she only wanted a man to love and cherish her for who she was... Yes, 10 years marriage now.
Answer: Scam, as is this review itself. This is a review setup intentionally for receiving good reviews. You should read this review, 100% independent. www.datingbusters.com/is-chnlove-com-a-scam-or-a-legit-way-to-meet-asian-women/
Answer: This is a scam site, and an expensive one at that! You will never get A girlfriend or wife here, just heartbreak and spend spend spend With no chance ever of really getting the girls contact info. Run for your life!
Answer: One thing you can do that doesn't cost too much is also to tell the lady you want to call her, tell her you want to only get her phone number... nothing else... tell her it costs too much to talk on the Chn phone line... Get her number, then call her back. It only takes a couple minutes to do that. If the lady doesn't want to give you her phone number... something may be wrong.
Answer: I do not think it has gone bust yet. But as the site is a total FRAUD it should do.
