My account was hacked on the Chewy website on Dec. 1 and I have been trying for 4 days to resolve this issue. I've spoken with 5 different supposed customer service representatives with no follow up on their part. My banks account has been hit with $256 worth of fraudulent charges and now my money is tied up until Chewy decides to give my money back. Merry Christmas to me. Please, consider my frustration before you place any orders with this company. I have been a loyal customer of Chewy until this happened. Never again.
It was a good site to order stuff for my dog for a long time, but lately customer service became horrible and I need to find something else now.
Received email advising boxes would be delivered on a day so did not buy more supplies while out. Delivery did not arrive so had to make a special trip out and spend additional money. Same exact thing the next day. 2 days of innacurate emails and then no deliveries meaning had to incur extra time, expense and aggravation again x2. Customer service offered a nominal credit for future order. There will be no future orders as have closed our account. Delivery issues happen, but even Walmart does a better job of rectifying problems.
I recently lost my beautiful Black Lab, Reyea. She was 11 years old and she will be dearly missed. I called Chewy to cancel my new pharmacy order which was in transit. They were unable to catch the order in time but told me when I received it, to take it to the vet for disposal and also gave me a refund. I was offered genuine condolences from each person I spoke with. I have been using Chewy.com for a few years now and VERY satisfied with the service. I would highly recommend to everyone who has pets. Thank you Chewy for being so understanding and for the great customer service throughout the years.
Worst company Vet put in prescription and had to wait for chewy to confirm prescription with the pharmacy A week later I called asking where the medication's are since they charged my credit card already. They said that they just received authorization today. I said you lie it was supposedly approved last week why wasn't it shipped out. She said she didn't understand why it wasn't shipped out. I said I have been waiting for this medication my dog is worth $20,000. If my dog dies because it's still waiting for the medication who am I to sue? They said they would ship it out the next day. And I said am I going to hear that due to the holidays it's not going to be delivered for another week. I said why don't you overnight it? She said she'll have to call me back in the morning. Horrible company don't trust them with medication's
I canceled an autoship which they still processed. They then asked me to refuse the shipment but if I couldn't that I could donate the items to charity. I wasn't home to deny the delivery (of dog food I no longer use) so now Chewy is refusing to refund my money unless I print out a FedEx label and take the heavy box to FedEx. When I explained to Chewy that my printer is broken & the box is too heavy, they keep sending me the same reply email. I'm now disputing through my credit card company. I'm absolutely done using Chewy. Besides this issue, the past few shipments had broken open cat litter & dog food. All messes that ended up all over my front room & porch. Chewy USED to be great. Not anymore. Walmart & Amazon it is!

Our dog Sade recently died of bone cancer at the age of 14 years old. She was a remarkable dog who survived the Joplin tornado of May 22,2011 in the basement of our home with us, when the portion above ground portion of the house was totally destroyed. One Hundred and Sixty-One persons along with numerous dogs and cats were not so lucky! She was a survivor! I didn't know her time was so short when I ordered a 2-month supply of medication that she wasn't able to use. I contacted Chewy and they credited my account for the unused medication. They also sent us a dozen roses in Sadie's memory. Excellent service from this company! They really care! Our hearts still break, but Chewy sure helped to consul our family during this very difficult time. I recently had to take my first walk in 13 years without Sadie. Very difficult, but we are extremely thankful for the 14 years she enriched our lives. Thank you Chewy for your compassion and great customer service!
Today I decided to put my poor sweet dog Shilo to rest. I had ordered some meds a couple of days ago and realized I need to cancel my order. Erin, with customer service was so kind and was able to refund my money and to my surprise. To my surprise, I received flowers delivered to my door with a beautiful note. I have never received such exceptional customer service; I was blown away! This meant so much to me in this difficult time.

Purchased medicine for my dog from Chewy and their return policy is horrible. Be careful when purchasing from them.
I have used Amazon.com for years, but chewys prices are more reasonable and they ship almost as fast with no added fees! I returned a product, and they said to donate it and still refunded my money! I am now a chewy shopper!
I have been ordering RX dog food there for two years and I did not know that I had to have the Vet renew the RX. Chewy did not tell me that I would be required to do that. I called and the person I spoke was really rude and said that it was my responsibility to keep up with it and that they had sent me an email (they sent it the day I ordered the food) that I needed a new RX. I did not see the email, plus they should let you know in advance that you have to get the Vet to renew it. Now I am out of RX food, it is Sunday and no place to purchase it near where I live. If I had known in advance I would have gone to the vet to get the RX renewed. I am furious and will find another source for purchasing the food. The person I spoke to was a complete JERK!
I've been ordering from chewy for quite some time and am so happy with the service, they always have my order delivered within 2 to 3 days, the prices are really good. I would recommend chewy to anyone who needs pet items.
My dog passes and I had received medicine for about 200 dollars I called them to see if they would take it back. They credited my account and told me to donate it
I overnighted a prescription to Chewy after not being able to get it because of Hurricane Ian which my dog needs due to arthritis, congestive heart failure, and atypical Cushings disease. Since the med is a prescription, I have to wait for a week prior to the end of the prescription to get the written script from my vet. So, when they were back, I picked up the script and paid almost $60, on 10/3 to overnight to Chewy. They received it the next morning and called me to confirm they received it and would be shipping it out immediately. I should have gotten it this Saturday 10/8. During the call on Tuesday morning 10/4, I specifically asked if they could overnight it and I would pay for it. They, of course told me no and the only option was ground but assured me it would be here by 10/8. On 10/8, I received an Email that it would not be here until 10/10 but when I called FedEx, they said it would not be here until 10/13. I called Chewy to see what they can do to help as I was a direct hit with the hurricane and my dog needed his meds or it could kill him. It is stuck in Ellenwood GA where the hurricane hit after leaving Florida. Neither FedEx nor Chewy put a plan in place for this natural disaster. They just shipped to a place that is experiencing flooding and when I pleaded with them to help me, they would not do anything. I have been a patron of Chewy for over 6 years and purchase over $1000 in food for my animals, meds, toys, etc. They took my money when things were good but when a natural disaster hit, they failed miserably. If you have an animal that has health issues that you have to have medication for, I highly suggest you go elsewhere rather than risk your pet's life. Chewy has done a horrible injustice to the people of Florida during this natural disaster and would not even think outside of the box to help me or other pet parents in Florida, knowing we would have paid any amount of money to get our babies' meds. They took the easier way and decided to not help us get our pets' medicine. It is shameful and I have canceled all autoships as well as canceled my account. I WILL NEVER USE CHEWY AGAIN!
I've been getting most of what my pet, Precious needs through Chewy.com for years. I just lost her at the age of 13. When I chatted with an agent to see about returning a new bag of food she didn't use, he said I will be refunded for the bag of food and the 8 cans of wet food left over from the case. As for returning the products, he said to donate to a local shelter or rescue! How great is that! Chewy has been amazing to me! I highly recommend them! Their customer service has always been great with the few issues I've had.
Purchased $300,3 story Frisco Wire/wood Playpen for pet. Upon opening, discovered the pan in bottom was damaged leaving sharp, broken places. Initially chatted with customer service with the recommendation of sending the entire thing back and getting a new one or looking on Amazon to find a replacement pan. Seriously?. This thing is heavy and takes an hour and a half to assemble. They refuse to just open up another one like it and send me the pan. Ridiculous. Final resolution, a credit of $60 to my credit card. Now for $240 my pet has a broken piece of crap from Chewy.com. Not the warm and fuzzy they like to advertise. Should have bought from Amazon, They even know it themselves. Would have been no hassle,
I love ordering from chewy because the things I receive are in good condition and they are fast to deliver.My dog loves all the food and snacks that I do buy for her.It Is so much easier to order from chewy then going to the store and buying it because I don't have a car so that's why it's so convenient for me.
Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
