Website is decent, prices are comparable, and sometimes you can find good deals if you have enough promo codes. Delivery is fast, but my last delivery was unacceptable. The box was completely ripped open, covered in dust, appeared to have gotten wet then dried (contents included), and was thrown at the bottom of my steps. See attached picture.
I cannot believe so many people don't like Chewy. I use it all the time and think it's an amazing company. I couldn't figure out how to return something, so I went to the website, and in seconds found how to chat with a customer service rep. I explained the situation and within 2 minutes I was given a refund and told I didn't need to return the product! I'm going to donate it to a local rescue. Thank you, Chewy!
Chewy has a problem with the carrier of their choice, Fedex. The lable indicates to ring the bell, still Fedex leaves 60+ pound boxes in the sidewak, outside of the property. Reported the problem to Chewy several times, all I get are appologies that I cannot pour on my cats litter box. After contacting Fedex, they assured me that the problem is coming from Chewy that is not paying for door delivery. Pathetic the way business are conducting themselves nowadays.
My little dogs passed away and I had just ordered their treats from Chewy. They were very gracious and allowed me to receive a credit. I would highly recommend Chewy. I have been ordering from them for years and there delivery is always on time and super easy to manage auto ship

My baby was out of her treats! I ordered from Chewy (I love Chewy). It's my fault (I did not order them sooner) but she was out this morning! Well, she was distraught with me; I said to Jiggles, "I will call Ren to see if you have a package coming from Chewy" She started talking to Ren (Now, I am not an expert on dog talk, but I think she was saying to him hurry up and get here with my package woof woof) Ren is Rotfl and so am I. He delivered her package and even stopped to open one of her treat bags and give her a treat. We have the best FedEx driver delivery guy ever! He put a note on her box! She is so loved by all!
They took my order and deducted the money from my card the same day. A week later I noticed it hadn't even shipped yet. I called to find out why and they said there was an issue with their promotional offer and they did not honor the discount they advertised. They canceled my order and I still have never received my money back.

I've become a frequent shopper at Chewy since getting a new pup in July 2022. As someone who relies on Amazon's customer reviews, I frequently try to leave reviews at Chewy.com but they simply won't go through. I've read their terms and conditions, some are positive and some are negative reviews, all contain useful information for shoppers. When I emailed their Customer Service department about it, all they had to say was that profanity wasn't allowed. Huh? I didn't say anything about profanity in my email, and nothing in my writing style suggests I am the type of person who uses profanity. They say that the first thing people assume you're doing wrong is usually what they themselves do wrong. So that's the kind of employee working at Chewy's customer service, and you have to go to Amazon to find genuine reviews of ALL of Chewy's products. Most of the time, I figure I might as well order from Amazon while I'm there searching for authentic reviews.
Until July, we were completely satisfied with Chewy. Food showed up for our dog 4-5 days ahead of when we would run out. Last month, we were down to one meal. This month, food did not arrive. We called and were told there was an issue and the food wouldn't arrive until September 5th. We are out of the dog's food and must search for something suitable that won't upset his stomach unnecessarily. We will be credited for this month's order, at least. But, in my mind, an "issue" ought to be communicated with customers ahead of time so they can be prepared for this "issue." Supply chain excuses aside, there is no excuse for poor customer communication.

It does not take 4 days for an order to go less than 200 miles, heck I could traveled much further on a bicycle. Their products are fresh, but their deliver service sucks!
Four times this has occurred, but not again - Will be going back to Walmart or local pet stores because my dog expects her treats on time, not come with excuses and apologies - we all can get that from that worthless USPS.
They denied a first time buyer a promotion claiming the promotion had been used on another order but yet they have never purchased from this company their whole life so now my self and 11 cat rescues will no longer buy from here hope they enjoy that loss for discriminating against new customers and lying just so they don't have to give th the discount they advertise
Chewy is one of the finest organizations on the planet. Their products are reasonably priced, their service is exceptional. Somebody actually answers the phone and takes care of your needs. If I could give chewy six stars I would.
Don't trust their ad says you get a $100.00 and you need to pay fir $65.00 it's a bait. You still paying the full amount after you check out. Customer service is not professional at all when I called them to confirm their ad, they canceled a gift card I sent, it's so embarrassing! I had to re purchased a new one then they need to verify the hell out of it, I ended up send the gift late. Terrible experience!
I have had to call 5 times to get my dogs perceptions. Every time I call them they say oh it's waiting for the vet I told him five times that the vet that their email goes to junk mail and that they said oh I will call the vet for you and here it's been since the 27th of July that I've still been waiting for my dog's prescription I will cancel all my services I will do this myself I hired chewy because it says do you want us to take care of this as much easier so now I will be canceling my services once I receive my dog's prescription and I will not use a site ever again
Chewy didn't pack the box as good as they usually do and their shipper damaged the box. Will never use Chewy again. I use to have good experiences but this ruined it.
Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
