I recently imported two vehicles into the UK a 1930 Chevy and a 1978 corvette I was able to get a period numberplate for the 1930s Chevy and then also got an import style plate for my 1978 corvette I used the online service which was very easy and the plates arrived a few days later in perfect condition what a great website and what a great company will use over and over again

When ordering plates, you will need to have to hand confirmation paperwork, the best is your driving license and registration document, just copies is okay. They do give a list of acceptable documents. The only downside is you only find this out after paying for them. Once I had scanned and emailed the relevant documents the plates arrived the next day.
1st class service. Received plates within 3 days. Email communication fine.

I am a repeat customer of Chestnut Registrations which probably says it all. I have needed period registration plates for a couple of my cars and each time the service has been excellent. In my experience when I order one day via the website I normally receive the very next day. I recently imported and registered a classic bike and forgot that you are only given 6 weeks to get the number plates. I needn't have worried because I found Chestnut in the nick of time!

Got Chestnuts' details from the car club forum I'm a member of, they don't list firms lightly so I ordered with confidence. Easy to order on-line with a good choice of plates, all very affordable. They were delivered very promptly and I'm very pleased at the quality, much better than some I've seen. Entirely my fault I ordered the wrong ones the first time but they were more than helpful in correcting my error, great to deal with.
I was looking for some odd shaped number plates for a classic car and Chestnut were really helpful in finding some standard sizes that would work for me rather than having to go to bespoke plates.
They gave me pretty good delivery times and the plates got to me even sooner than expected.
Helpfully they also followed up with a free "fixings' kit to allow me to attach these plates quickly and easily over the original plates.
