Horrible.

Unprofessional. The people I talked to could barely speak and understand English. I am waiting on my refund for over five months and they keep lying to me and telling me someone will call (they don't), that I'll get my refund in a certain amount of time that has now passed by months, and have been unprofessional. I am waiting on an almost $3700 refund for airfare because my flight was cancelled by the airline due to COVID. Book elsewhere. Horrible.

I asked to cancel a booking and refund me in full over 9 months ago. The flight was canceled by the airline and the airports are closed in both Sri Lanka and India so I want a cash refund. The first five months, no one at CheapoAir replied. This third-class operator CheapoAir is denying all requests and is acting in a high-handed way. It's not utilizing the stimulus money it got to compensate its passengers. I have sent numerous emails (over 50) and every time I send an email, it gets lost in call-backs. In every call-back, all CheapoAir wants to do, true to its name, is act cheaply and convince me to part with my money for good. I am overseas in Sri Lanka and they call me up at any time of the day and night and disturb my sleep and life, even though I have placed myself on a DO NOT CALL registry between 8 PM and 8 AM Sri Lanka time. They always try to call me on my US number while I have told them numerous times that that number is not working in Sri Lanka and have given them a Sri Lanka number. They call a non-working number to say that they tried to call and resolve the matter but alas, the consumer wasn't available. They wouldn't even officially issue an email stating that "booking #******* is non-refundable and future credit only"! Such is the level of their fraud. The simple facts are these: (1) Airline canceled the flight. (2) Airports in Sri Lanka and India are still closed, over 8 months later, and are not likely to open anytime soon. (3) The credit CheapoAir wants me to take will expire on Dec 31,2020 - less than 2 months away. No flights will go during that time and credit will expire. (4) I am a US citizen. CheapoAir operates in the US. Therefore, this contract is subject to the US and US-DoT jurisdiction. I ask that this travel agency be investigated for (a) fraud, (b) misusing and misappropriating the stimulus money, (c) acting unethically, (d) harming end-consumer interests, and (e) bringing disrepute to the airline and travel industry. I have filed a complaint with US DoT and asked that its license should be suspended pending an investigation. I have filed a complaint with BBB and asked them to delist this company and run it out of business.

The airline that customer purchased with is not providing refunds only future credit. Those are airline policies in which we have to abide by.

Do NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT use this horrible sight. My husband booked with cheapoair back in January for a flight in March of 2020, but He had to cancel due to Covid. They sent us an email informing us to contact them when we were ready to rebook. Well... we tried to rebook and they told us we could not because the voucher had expired after 90 days. What!? We were not informed that we had a deadline to rebook it nor did we receive any information on a deadline. Plus when we checked Cheapoairs flight policy it said that we had till Sept of 2021 to use our voucher. When we called they tried to inform us that we had received an email with the rebooking information. We did our due diligence and double even triple checked our email. However, there was no email. They tried to blame it on the airline that cheapoair booked us with... it is not the airlines fault. It is cheapoairs fault! We trusted them with our flight plans and they proved that they were not trustworthy. DO NOT book with cheapoair! They will just steal from you.

With my job I travel a lot. Last month (Sept/Oct. 2020) I booked two flights with ChipOair. Both times, I had hard time getting a receipt for my expense report. The second time, I spoke to them 3 times and I was told that I will get email with the invoice between 24 and 48 hours. It has been 10 days already and still no receipt. They sent me some, but not for every charge on my company credit card. I am still missing $100 charge on the card with no any receipt for it. Shady company.

An Absolute Nightmare!

Absolutely horrific. Nightmare. Bought insurance with them. Airline changed flight so I had to cancel. I was stuck in a foreign country with no income because of the pandemic I even had to spend most of my savings getting whole new set of tix. Cheapo ignored all of my attempts to reach them until my visa expired and I was stuck. Then they said the airline wouldn't refund me because I was a no show. Once it was too late and they waited months after the flight date to even respond (after I cancelled through cheapo) and they didn't bother to notify the airline which is part of what that insurance I bought was for! They do not answer phones, emails, or chat. If you get through count yourself lucky. In a pinch they are nowhere to be found! I had to go and buy a whole new set of tix in the end and forfeit the hundreds I spent with them. To this day they are unapologetic. Only offered me a $50 credit that out of curiosity I tried to use and, yes you guessed it. Does not even work! A fake code. HA!

Horrible

10/24/2020 8:30 am. What a horrible experience. I don't wish this upon anyone. My Name is Michelle K and I had an original flight which was switch to October 24th. I never received an itinerary. I called the night before to receive it. When I arrived to the airport my ticket stated September 24 wrong month. I called and spoke to an Agent Curtis. This person was non apologetic for the wrong date. Non sympathetic. Didn't even care about the fact I was sitting at the airport and on the phone with him for over an hour! He kept saying I'll be right back I'll be right back and kept us on hold for long periods of time. Never apologize. He couldn't get the date changed and he eventually said just pay for the up charge and we will reimburse you. This company doesn't care for its customers. Their service is extremely rude and unprofessional. There's a reason why they have an F rating in the BBB. I am filing a complaint with the airlines and the FCC. I want my money back in full! This is unacceptable. I had to call many times and nothing is being done. I want a refund. As of 11/23/2020. This has NOT BEEN RESOLVED.

UPDATED - CheapOair reached out and contacted me based on poor review I initially gave. While it took about 3 hours of my time they worked very hard to address this issue to my satisfaction. While the experience was less than fun, in the end Agnos from the "Supervisor Desk" delivered. Change rating from 1 to 4 stars due to follow up on CheapOair's Follow-up. (still did not get full credit after re-booking but way better than where we started) Thanks to Agnos! OLD Review-Trip was cancelled due to Covid but Cheapo charged me $35 a Ticket because we did not use ($70 for 2 of us), now booked direct through American Airline and they charge another $50 Each for doing nothing! What a Rip Off. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN! Terrible company taking advantage of people during Covid.

The WORST

My ticket was canceled and I need to rebook another flight, I already have the travel protection and flexible ticket. For a refund they told me you have to wait 6 months then 2 months while the travel agent didnt mention it when I booked. And to book another flight that's the 6th time trying to calling them, they hang up the phone. And till now I've been waiting 4 hours without any respond. Some travel assistant told me that I will book another flight now you should receive the email, and the other say that we should wait the airline. Why should I wait the airline? I am booking over cheapoair not the airline? You work with many airlines you should find me another flight
Oh for the refund, you should wait 2 to 6 months, but meanwhile you can buy another ticket and wait for your refund? Like seriously? I have to pay twice. You are the booking company, you should wait for the refund from the airline not me! Why I paid then for protection?
Oh the funny thing, I didn't know over cheapoair that the ticket was canceled, they didnt even send any email and the app didnt send any notification for changes or cancellation, I called the airline which is Lufthansa to check about the covid regulation they told me that your ticket is canceled.
The worst customer service, they don't know how to work nor their regulations, very unprofessional.
Never ever booking on cheapoair
And I am still waiting for their response, maybe next year!

Beware of Cheapoair!

I made the mistake of using Cheapoair for booking a flight to Canada earlier this year. I was crossing my fingers in hopes that they would lift the international travel ban for tourism. Unfortunately the bans kept getting extended and I was forced to cancel my plans. All my cancellations were readily accepted by the travel agencies I used EXCEPT Cheapoair. They would not cancel my flight with out imposing a $35 per person fee. I got crucified. If you cancel for ANY reason, you are on the hook. Never use Cheapoair, Never! Book direct and save $$$
P.S. if you see my attachment, you might find humor as I did in their choice of wording that I "agreed" to the predatory fees. I think the more appropriate term would be "strongly against".

They Have THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, I used to book with them for 5 years and recommended them to many of my friends, but now after what happened I will never use them again, So I booked with my wife 2 tickets to Antalya in June 6, but due to corona the airport in my country and turkey were closed so we didn't travel, they said since we used Pegasus Airlines that we are eligible for the credit that we booked with. Now I'm trying to use the credit to book a flight, their STUPID customer service operators are wasting my international credit, every time I am trying to book after I give them my booking number THEY HANG UP! I paid like 43$ in international calling credit... they owe me 409$ in credit value and 43$ in phone call credit, cheapOF**ks

I booked a flight for two person on the site.
I left Madagascar in January and was supposed to come back on July 31st. Due to the COVID-19, the flight was canceled. We had to fly back to Madagascar with a special flight that our government scheduled. I contacted Cheapoair on July 8th 2020 to ask them for a refund and they told me they will request the refund. Today is September 21st 2020 and I contacted them to ask for the refund and they told me my request was only submitted on August 8th 2020. They have been lying to me all this time that my request was already sent to the people in charge. The customer service people were so rude to me. Never trust this company. It is NOT WORTH IT. STAY AWAY!

Long time customer

One of the worst customer service I received for my booking.
I have been booking all my flights through Cheapoair for long time and for specially the following booking for past 3 days I was following up and finally today a lady spoke was soo unprofessional & was not helpful at all.

I had good experiences with them on 5 international flights, then the bad news started, in July their computer frozze on me only to find it had booked me on a flight I did not want in Sept.
When i asked for some kind of resolution, after 55 days of marathon sessions of being put on hold. They simply refused to cancel the reservation.

And the credit card company capital one said they can't do anything, all the discounts they have given me do they add up to an international flight I don't want?
Please keep in mind I never got a ticket or a confirmation

So, when CheapOAir posted a response to my original complaint, stating they "resolved with customer" on August 25,2020, that was NOT true!
CheapOAir never sent me the info requested about their "Non-refundable fees" so I reached out to my bank and they filed a dispute for me. Even then, this company kept telling me that I had agreed to the fees when I purchased my ticket, but they could not show me where of prove the exact amount charged. BUT, as it turns out, I was just issued a refund for the "non-refundable fees" on all three bookings. Glad I got my bank involved and suggest anyone else with the same problem to contact their bank for help.
Said it before, and I will say it again, this company is a SCAM. Unfortunately for them, I am very patient and very determined. Prove I am wrong and fine, I will be quiet, but keep giving me the run a round and you will not hear the end of me.

This company is a scam. I understand that everyone is experiencing larger demand due to COVID, but this company has FAILED, time and again, at customer service. My flights were canceled and I was emailed saying I did not have to do anything and I would automatically get a refund. Couple weeks later, no new info so I reached out. THEN the refund was initiated. It was not until 2 weeks later that I got 1 of 3 bookings refunded, another week after that for the 2nd booking and 2 weeks after that for the 3rd one. THEN, I did not even receive a full refund. They kept some for "non-refundable fees" for which they have not disclosed the nature of to me after 2 separate emails to billing. Also, those non-refundable fees are VERY VERY different with each booking. What are the fees for and how are they calculated? NEVER again will I book with this company.

Never received refund for luggage I paid online or at the airport again for some of their employees mistake... They say they will call they never do. They say the money will be refunded, it hasn't and they transfer you from one person to another. You can be on hild for over 2 hrs and they will hang up the line not call back... Horrible horrible experience there is no management nobody knows anything and nobody notates the times you call or what you're saying

Worst Customer Service ever
September 30, 2020

The airline canceled my flights due to Peruvian Mandate order due to COVID-19 and country lockdown. Their customer service wasn't available nor responsive to phone calls and emails. Once I got back home, I contacted my credit card to dispute the fees due to no service provided and unable to contact them. Now their collection department is after me accusing me of fraud.
Like I said before, the service was never provided. These people are worst can blood sucking leaches. I will never again used this company nor recommended to anyone.
