So they ask for all this documentation, yet most of the documentation is impossible to get. They aren't in business of selling cars but gathering all your personal information. Go to Carmax or buy from a bum on the street, that would be more acceptable than doing business with Carvana. Fook off Carvana.
Awful experience! Ordered car and completed all paperwork 2 weeks before delivery. 3 days before weekend pick up they change the date and time to a completely inconvenient appointment during the week and then offered no options to reschedule because 'they're all booked up' for the next week. Would rather I cancel my order than help fix their mess up after wasting 30 minutes pretending to want to help but offering no viable solutions except to pay the ridiculous delivery charge.
I bought my car and was delivered may 28th and it is now august 3rd. No plates, registration, and failure to call me about this. Completely not reliable when it comes to calling them, no help. I paid for it in full, so yes, they have taken my money. Legally, I can not drive this car. My temporary license plate expired quite a while ago. Would NEVER recommend Carvana. I still have no idea when I will be able to receive everything for my car. I bought a car that is WORTHLESS to me right now!
I have been waiting six months for tags and title. My loan company has informed me that since I can't produce a title with their name listed as lien holder, they are going to change my auto loan to a personal loan. My payment would cost me $200 more month. When I told Carvana about the payments going up and they should pay the difference, they told me that is my problem. Carvana has sold me a car without a clean title. I am now suing them for my month back.
I found a car I liked and started the order. Carvana approved me and I went through all the paperwork, bought my insurance, had a pick up day and everything. The day I signed power of attorney, they called me an hr later and said I didn't make enough money and they had to cancel the order. Isn't that illegal? Shouldn't I own the car after getting it notarized?
This past month has been nothing less than a waiting game. You purchase a car - wait three weeks, find out an hour and a 1/2 before delivery that the vehicle has engine problems and no brakes. Per the Carvana employee it wasn't going to be delivered and advised selecting a completely different vehicle, "as they wouldn't deliver this to one of the own family members". For anyone that has gone through Carvana's website - its not that simple to select another car and go through the whole uploading and registration game on a timer- but we did it again. We tried calling to see if someone could assist us by phone, can never speak to a Manager (24 - 48 hour call back time btw) and we get the same answers.
Well another delivery day has arrived and guess what - no car again! That phone call - DAY OF DELIVERY. Today was transportation issues with a rescheduled delivery date. Once again, you contact Customer Service and they cannot help you - its like reading out of a book. After reading reviews, we understand why they are like scripted answers, as they are taking calls like ours more than likely hourly We did not take the time to read reviews - as we should have. We are giving them one last try to deliver our vehicle and then we are cancelling and making our way to a dealership - the whole reason someone goes through this process, as to not have to deal with a dealership. At least there is a person standing in front of you and has immediate answers. I do not recommend Carvana to someone that needs a vehicle - or has an immediate need for a vehicle. There is no sense of urgency, because they apparently have many customers to attend to and you are just a number. Misleading... you are completely at their mercy and they know this. Its a take it or leave it attitude.
Carvana sucks. Purchased car that had broken seat, door handle and back window shattered with 1st 3 days. They won't call you back and it's a major headache
When I was within my seven day moneyback guarantee, Carvana promised to fix my brakes, after the seven day money back guarantee they declined fixing the brakes, also the car was already almost $8000 over priced, missing parts and not working key fob.
I asked for a quote from Carvana to buy my car. I got a response right away, and it was very competitive with the others Vroom, Carmax, KBB, CashforyourCar. I provided drivers license, mileage, & title pics - and they came on time. Inspected the car - were knowledgable and friendly, and I received the bill of sale, confirmations and money in the bank was the next day. I did not even need a test drive, as they need to drive the car onto the carrier - TJ was excellent, and they made the decision - no haggling. Perfect experience. I would not use anyone else when I go to sell or buy.
I paid a deposit for a coming soon car. I received an email saying the car was being serviced for me and then nothing else. 10 days later I logged in to see a message saying the car was no longer available. No email communication. Customer services said the car may have had a problem at the inspection so I should look for another. I'd wasted 2 weeks by this time, I asked if I was getting any service gesture discount on delivery or something for the problem I was told no it's basically bad luck try again. A very vague business practise I think, no thanks I won't be trying again with this poor service and dreadful customer recovery practise. How to destroy a relationship before it gets off the ground!
There's nothing new here except a long drawn out string on emails from nice people promising things they can't deliver. Inspected cars that aren't. The usual you'll find at any car dealer. If Carvana inspected this car, I'm Abraham Lincoln.
Most adds now lead to Carvana. Sort of feels like a annoying funnel. So choose a car that could be delivered on a day I was around for it and had no scratches. Turns out they could not deliver by the day they said they could. Annoying that they had it in the computer wrong. But wait it gets better. Now missing things that were in the pictures and has scratches that were never mentioned in the add. So this vehicle is now several thousand dollars over priced with no negotiation for said price. Only thing available is take it or leave it. Positive note I have already spoke with about 40 people on not using Carvana and most have been really receptive to the idea of not using Carvana
I placed an order to buy a car but canceled a few hours later. I got a confirmation that the order was canceled so I thought it was all good and happy. However, even after it was canceled they tried to pull the money (over $60K) out of my bank via ACH payment. They continue to do this days after it was canceled. I was able to make the stop payment from my bank but they still send me emails that I need to pay. I called the company and a gal started to get really aggressive and eventually hangup the phone on me! Very unprofessional company and the system is all messed up! Be careful doing business with them!
I just took 1 look at Carvana. I typed in my current vehicle which is old it's a 2007 GMC Acadia. It is maxed out with luxury items, leather dvd and the rest. Clean in and out running and no accidents. Car ana offer $300. You get $300 when you junk your car. Get real and lost my $20,000. I was by no means looking to get rich off the Acadia but damn.
Carvana is in the habit of saying one thing and doing another.
Instance #1. I was promised a $500 referral and after 2 months of no communication and me having to call back, I was informed that Carvana can not do that. AFTER THEY PROMISED to give me this referral bonus.
Instance #2. After I informed CARVANA that a piece of the vehicle (a stock piece that all models of this car come standard with) was missing, They basically told me, "Tough $#*!, Don't buy the car then".
NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE LIARS.
Super easy experience to sell a car. Gave details of my car, Uploaded some documents, got a quote and scheduled a time for them to come pick up the car. I had some issues with the title before they would come get the car, which is the only reason it took more then a week to complete the process. Cut me a check and took the hunk of junk away. Awesome!
I purchased a vehicle for my son through Carvana. The vehicle was intended as a birthday present. It would also be needed for transportation to school and work. Happy with the vehicle. Slight delay in it's delivery. However, the worst experience was after the initial purchase. I've been waiting for a permanent tag for more than 2 months. I received one ticket to date. I cannot use the vehicle until I have a permanent tag and Carvana continues to insist that the drive out tag is good for 3 months. I am in the state of Mississippi? A drive out tag is only good for 7 days in my state. All this information is on the department of motor vehicles website. Carvana doesn't seem to care about this issue, so currently I have a vehicle that I cannot use. As of this post. The vehicle is parked in the garage. This temporary tag is not valid in my state. Calling them to explain does no good. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
I tried to buy a car from caravana. They promised delivery 3x they couldn't deliver the car after 3 broken promises it was my birthday present and had a trip scheduled around it. The local office kept they didn't have time to clear the codes to get thru emissions and blamed lack of staff. I told them i would pick it up... Nope they would have to rewrite my contract. I wanted out of the vending machine... Nope... It's the most horrible car buying experience i have ever had. I said i don't want it and leave me alone. The tried to deliver it and we're calling me from in front of my house with no warning. I wasn't there but Chad called me excited to have my car leaving voicemails. I was busy at the movies which i took my new car to i bought locally $#*! CARVANA. Unless you want a car months before you want it
I was moving from Pittsburgh to Miami in June 2022, and scheduled to sell my Toyota Corolla to Carvana (pickup) on June 29th. This was originally submitted, and agreed to on June 12th, 19 days before pickup. 30 minutes before my scheduled time, the driver called me and refused to pickup my car because she was not prepared to pick the car up at the particular address due to "Pittsburgh being busy this time of day".
Despite me asking to move the location and being willing to drive my car to Carvana, meet any other place, etc, they refused and said I would be "rescheduled for tomorrow"- the day I was leaving. I called the help center which was based NOT in Pittsburgh, and couldn't do any scheduling. They refused to connect me to the Pittsburgh office, and could not reschedule me at all as "my window to sell the car had closed". Horrible customer service, ineffective helpline, abrupt change of plans for spurious reasons, and left me in the lurch to sell my car. Luckily the Toyota dealership was prompt, professional, and bought my car that day.
IfI could give zero stars, I would
Carvana illegally sold me a car they don't hold the legal title to without my knowledge. I can't legally drive it now and they expect me to just deal with it and keep paying for it. They didn't even TELL me I my temp plates were expiring - I found out when I called on July 6 wondering about the registration that they expired THAT DAY - and was told they couldn't be renewed or extended and that the delay was because they were still in the process of "flipping the title" and were having trouble clearing the liens. They suggested I find other means of transportation for an indefinite period of time, and said they'd send me a check for $250 for my trouble. That's $164 LESS than a single car payment- which I was told, I am expected to continue making. They are unwilling to take the car back because it's outside the 7 day return window (lol) and the 100 day warranty expires in 19 days- while the car is inoperable.
I am a Realtor - and bought the car to use as my primary vehicle for work. Obviously, not being able to legally use my car is a huge problem, considering that's the money to PAY for the car. Aside from that, I am in the process of treating several extremely progressive diseases and require reliable transportation to multiple medical appointments weekly. I would never have bought a car online, however at the time I was recovering from brain surgery and wasn't able to run around looking at and test driving cars. I put $5500 down on the thing to make the payments manageable so I can't even AFFORD alternate means of transportation.
It's obviously illegal, and they obviously don't care. I hope they burn. They're ruining people's lives, and doing it on purpose. NOTE: If you call in about something like this and mention that you are willing to take a legal approach, they will refuse to speak to you at all going forward - they mark your file as having "gone legal" and will hang up on you.
Literal, actual criminals, doing actual crime - and then telling you you can't get out of your contract because it's legally binding. Absurd.
Answer: "Customer Service"? There is no customer service. It's just email runaround and they sell the car out from under you without even telling you. And... they keep your deposit. It's more like customer DIS-service
Answer: Don't buy from them. The are just like used car salespeople. No difference! Rip-off!
Answer: I had the most amazing time buying a car through Carvana; I got a loan quikly, got my car in a couple weeks and the car is an awesome car; its all registered for me and I just got it inspected, passed no problem. My car only had 42,000 miles on it and rarley was driven. YES get a car from Carvana they are so great! My payments are super low too.
