I KNOW how the cheating happens on cardgames.io
March 27, 2026

The way the hacking hap[pens is NOT the company. Its the USERS. They have learned how to use the app "cheat engine" or something similar, to view your hand.

So in Gin rummy, they will always throw out a card that is 1 number higher than what you have, because OU have a card THEY want.
For example, I have a 4 of Hearts, they will throw out the 5. They see I have a J ofclubs that has no value at all.
So by handing me that 5 of hearts, its a good chance I will take the J of clubs and hand it to them.

They also can manipulate facecards that are being pulled just so long as they are not already in a hand.

I have proven this. What I do is, WHATEVER they throw out? I accept it. Then THEY will pull from the deck the card that THEY PLANNED ON STICKING ME with.

They will then pass that card to me. I will take it, BUT HAND THEM BACK the previous card that they played.

This messes up their schemes. Slows them down. They have to go back in and change the cards and look at yours. THAT TAKES TIME.

So you will see that they suddenly slow down...

They will indeed get gin or big gin, but it will come after a delay of them manipulating cards because they see that youre not falling for the plot.

Another way I found out, was once I was able to yank card that THEY wanted for themselves and was about to Knock? They would knock just before... THEY SEE THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO KNOCK, so they pull out the game before that happens.

They are manipulating the cards. Apps like "cheat engine" can manipulate face values of a game online. I also think that they all are users that download the app, not users that play using the browser version. This is so Cheat engine can access the app. Cheat engine will not access the Web version.

I'm betting that they are all Lennex users.

How to cheat card games.io
January 7, 2026

I play Gin rummy. Certain users, for example one that calls himself the goat, and another that calls himself "undefeated" seem to always win. They also seem to always give me high point cards, or an ace. They always seem to have an ace to throw.

I suspect it cheating. I figured how they did it. On a desktop computer, you can open the console, and inspect a specific item on your screen. In this case, one of the cards. When you see how the card is described, it will allow you to change the card face value. All you have to do is change the number. For example, it might say c4. Which would be a club number four

H11 which would be a jack of hearts. And so on.

If I want the jack of hearts to become a five of spades, I would change h11, to S5. And boom your card changes. It doesn't seem to acknowledge that you have changed it and give you gin for example, but it does make it so when you throw out a card, you throw out a car that you actually didn't have. This is the beginning of how these people are cheating. I don't know the full scope, but this is the beginning of it

Don't cheat my (/)...
December 26, 2024

Don't waste your time. Cribbage, Backgammon, Canasta, Farkle just to name a few, all run algorithms to keep you from winning. Canasta, hum AAA, or AA2, AA* melds first time, if not canasta first round, 9 out of 10 times takes the pile, you're ready to go out, 4 more melds than the computer, all of a sudden it has more melds than you, only cards left in your hand they have melded... Cribbage, you can never keep up, it always out scores you 4 to 1, backgammon, always jumps you if you leave yourself open, it never leaves its self open, I can keep going with the rest of their crooked games. Find another site.

Please Don't Play or Endorse This Company's Online Games
October 17, 2024
Updated review

I just played six games of this company's online Cribbage and got blown out every game. These games are rigged. Your opponent always has the perfect cards or draws the perfect cards. Your opponent frequently draws four of a kind, double-double runs, or multiple fives. No one has or draws the perfect cards like your opponent. I consider myself an above average Cribbage player and I don't expect to get blown out every game. Please don't play or endorse this company's online card games.

These card games are a complete joke!

Previous review

Try playing a Yahtze game. In four hands the dealer deals himself five sixes, a full house, five sixes, and a five hand straight. Seriously?!?!? I write to the programmer and he says the cards are dealt randomly. I tell him no one deals themselves four great hands in a row and he tells me to play on a different website if I'm not happy. Nice customer relations. My advice: Don't play on this website and inform your friends that these games are rigged and a cheat!

Doesn't cheat my $#*!
August 7, 2024

Look at Canasta. When you get above 1500, how is it the opponents always seem to meld first round, more or less get Canasta first round? Constantly get 3 or 4 red 3's every hand. Always have melded, your throw off cards. Backgammon. Always 99% of the time, starts first. Their shakes allow them to 98% of the time, leave them stacked so you can't jump them. 98% of the time, when you're vulnerable, just always happens to roll the number to jump you. Cribbage? They outscore you 3 to 4 times the points every hand. It's not cheating. Then it must have a horseshoe up its $#*!.

Tried to play chess on this site, had the opposing king trapped by a rook and a queen, game ended as "stalemate" like the game was made to give anything other than checkmate just to claim you didnt win

chess.com is full of cheaters
Lichess cant program difficulty settings right
And now cardgames.io cant define a checkmate...
Where exactly do i get an actual game of online chess?

Disappointed again!
August 4, 2023

This is my second time saying I'm really getting disappointed with CardGames.io! It's like after winning a few games the game just finds a way to ruin my day. I'm trying to win 7 games in a row. But just now after winning 5 games I just had the farkle game betray me once again! What's amazing is just how bad this game is! I mean giving Bill the ability to score over 6000 points in a game is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS! This game is getting DISGUSTING! I'm just being REAL!

Card Games - Best
March 5, 2023

I enjoy playing on this site often - I play Hearts, Crazy 8's, Solitaire, Golf, Freecell, Euchre, and Spades - Recently, on my IPad, I am hearing loud drums playing. Is the creator of the CardGames.io doing this? It is a little irritating - I just turn the sound down, though. Overall, I really like this App. And all the card games on it.

Go fish somewhere else
February 8, 2023

If you enjoy go fish with your kids dont bother with this game. The owner always uses "stats" as a way to prove the games arent rigged but when you only win 4 games out of 50 no matter how many times you play and the pther three bots split their stats almost evenly … rigged! We even wrote down the numbers of the other players … horrible. Gone back to real cards with real people

Rigged

The programmers suck $#*! at their job, this is why they have no clue how to program the AI to have winning strategies. To compensate for their stupidity, laziness and incompetence, they blatently cheat the draws to allow their $#*!ty AI to win more often.

Yes, the cards are not like a random deal at your home card game. Even so, I can generally "out-think" my electronic opponent on the pegging portion of the game. Of course there are times when you get stuck for a proper play (just like in a real game although more frequently in the online version.) Your most useful hand turns out to be something that once your opponent plays a card you can only either play for the pair or give up a 3 card run. It's of course automatic; you have to take the pair to garner at least some points and invariably "Bill" will have the 3rd one and peg 6 for three of a kind.

A couple of other frequent happenings I've noticed are when you get 3 of a kind on the deal. Naturally you keep the 3 in your hand with another complementary card. Very often, and much more frequently than probability the card draw will pair the complementary card you kept with your trio. This is the first thing that made me suspicious. It happens again and again.

When the game is tight and you get a pat hand that you "have to" hold a certain 4 cards, you should look out! For instance, you're dealt J, J, Q, K, 6,8. You keep your sure 8 points and toss the 6 and 8 into your opponents crib. The cut produces an 8. Your opponent drew to a 9, 10, 10, 10 and hit a triple run. He also put a 6,7 in his crib and got a double-double! As a result, you were 20 points ahead before this hand but end up losing the game by 15 points. If this were only once, it's feasible. Once every 15 games is not statistically probable. The tide seems to frequently turn roughly at the most critical point of the game for having a small lead... right around the 90 point area, give or take.

Now, it's not impossible to win. In fact sometimes the game is a blow-out in your favor. The whole idea of "rigging" the game is not to screw you over; after all, who's gonna come back for more if they can never win? The reason to "adjust" the game's probability is to make sure each session has some excitement. During play at your kitchen table with a friend you'll have some really exciting hands but, you won't have something improbable happen during each game. The website's mission is to have something interesting happening during every game (and it can be for you or against you) to keep you coming back for more. And, it is tough for them to do that without making it obvious that they are skewing the results from random play. Hence, this is why you are seeing in these reviews that many players see through the lack of randomness... games like these do not happen with random deals!

The game is still fun. Just don't kid yourself into thinking you're playing great when you clobber your opponent. Don't beat yourself up when you lose either. It's pretty much out of your hands whether you win or lose because it has been predetermined beforehand whether you will win or lose that particular game. It is a good time waster but don't believe anything other than the cards you get, the hits you make on the draw and the situations you find yourself in during the pegging portion have all been manipulated by the website designers in an attempt to entertain you and to ensure you get hooked playing on the site.

I believe there is a review that states all of us "complainers" are cribbage tyros who are just "sore losers" and don't understand the game. I for one have been playing cribbage for over 50 years and, whilst not a world champion, am not unknowledgeable about the game and understand the frequency and probability of certain hand sequences within the game. The idea that this online game reflects everyday real world statistical probabilty is well, just laughable,

I love this site, and it's free!
July 15, 2022

Playing against the AI can be kind of a bore, sometimes, but that's typical when you play games of chance against the computer. The multiplayer option is fantastic and if there isn't anyone available to play, you can just play against the computer until some people show up. I think this site also provides an excellent opportunity to learn how to play card games. I've learned how to play Hearts, Spades, Whist, and Rummy. My two favorite games to play are Gin Rummy and Cribbage. The AI, called "Bill," is kind of dumb when it comes to Gin Rummy, but there are always people online to play against, which is much more interesting. Bill is a genius at Cribbage, or at least he looks like a genius. In fact, most Cribbage games I've played against a computer (including the old Unix command line one) make the computer look like a Cribbage pro. This is mainly because Cribbage mostly is a game of chance. You definitely need a lot of skill to make decisions, but you're dealt the hand that you're dealt and have to work with that. Unlike other reviewers on here that give this site a one star review because Bill beats them most of the time at Cribbage, I can beat Bill quite a lot. I've uploaded screenshots of my most recent statistics. It looks as though I had to abandon two Cribbage games against Bill for some reason, so if I hadn't had to do something else I might have better stats. Even with those two abandoned games, it shows that I have won 50% of the games I've played against Bill. Poor Bill has only won 43% of games against me. I've even managed to skunk him! Anyway, don't believe the negative reviews from angry Cribbage players. They just need to get better at the game or read up on strategies. Bill does not cheat. Cribbage has always made the computer look like a whiz kid since at least the 1970s or 1980s. It's because it's a game of chance for the most part, with some skill required to manage bad hands. If you flip a coin 10 times you will not get "heads" five times and "tails" another five. Probability doesn't work out that way in real life. The same is true for card games. You can have a huge winning streak or a huge losing streak. The bright side: when you toss a coin ten times, you won't get "heads" ten times or "tails" ten times and losing streaks always come to an end.

Sad to see all this negativity.
July 4, 2022

First off, i dont play cribbage as i think it's a bit of a rubbish game so i cant comment on it.

I do play most of the others though, both against the computer and some against real people.

I've only once won at reversi as i'm rubbish at it.

My results for yahtzee are about 50/50 which one might expect.

I play bil sr at chess and win most of the time. I'm too scared to play real people.

I win against all three bot players in thirteen 60- 66% of the time but against people only about 30% of the time.
I win at war 50% of the time but raely play it as it's boring.

I can beat lisa most of the time at spit but never against bill, i'm too slow.

I win about 57% of the time but it's taken a while to find a strategy to do so.

Hearts is brutal but i win 44%% of the time. Better than the 25% you'd expect if we were all equal.

Euchre i play against people and there are some really great players out there. Get four people who know how to play the game and it's great. It takes a long time to learn the game properly, years.

Spades is a great game, again i play against people. Unlike euchre there are a lot of idiots that play and disappear off at the first hint of losing. I only play the ticked tables to try and avoid the no hopers.

I play against bill at gin and win 64% of the time.

So, as you can see, none of the games i play are rigged and therefore think these poor reviews are by the same idiots that disappear when playing spades thinking the cards are rigged.

There are a few niggles with the site. It will disconnect me occasionally in the middle of a game

The site sometimes takes my tick away for no apparent reason.

If i restart my computer all my statistical data is lost.

I hope people find this helpful.
