Biggest Mistake Ever Made
August 7, 2024

My wife and I paid up front for a house in Camella Legazpi City. From the day we bought it, we have had nothing but trouble.
The camella installed facilities company overcharge residents (money going into back pockets). The "infinity pool" promised in the publicity blurb became a rather miserable hole in the ground.
The homeowners banded together to try and get camella to hand over responsibility to the residents. We took camella to court and the court took camella's side (money talks in the Philippines, even with the judiciary).
Take my advice, if you are a foreigner like me, looking to move to the Philippines, avoid camella completely. The Vilar family (owners of camella) are corrupt.

Camella does not allow deliveries even if its food by 10pm. Also the guards are inconsiderate and power tripping. This is our first time to encounter a village/subdivision that has curfew on food deliveries. It is not pandemic anymore but they still set this curfew which causes a lot of inconvenience and stress not only to food riders but to homeowners/tenants as well.

Also they have poor waste management and the water is scheduled.
Plus the home owners association has poor action.

You have no power over your property
January 31, 2024

We started enhancing our house in camella just to be stopped when it is almost finished. Operations were stopped just because we did not follow standard design. $#*! with the standard. We have seen the same designs here in our block and were finished already. This is an insult. The guard wont allow to enter our purchased materials! We already paid the bond and we are ok to forfeit it already but to stop the operation? It is ridiculous! Now we have to wait several days waiting to be approved AGAIN before resuming. We have targets already and it is really HASSLE. If you want to buy homE NEVER CHOOSE CAMELLA! YOU OWN YOUR HOUSE AND YET NO POWER OVER IT!

Scammer
March 14, 2023

I bought one unit in Camilla, been paying monthly without lates even covid- when they stop the development. After paying a couple of years I payed 2 consecutive big amount of money. BUT BEWARE they will spread this to monthly and still get the monthly interest. Which I thought they will reduce it on my balance. Second they PRESSURING ME TO PAYED FULLY TO LLOAN IN THE BANK OR ELSE THEY WILL PUT ME TO HIGH INTEREST WHICH IS 16%. I REQUESTED TO GAVE ME TIME AT LEAST 1year as I want to pay it full,BUT THEY ONLY GAVE ME 2 and a half Month and still pressuring me to put in high interest. THEY DONT WANT TO GAVE ME TIME, that leaves me NO CHOICE to loan in the BANK WITH 6.5 interest. BUT THE FRUSTRATING PART IS WHEN I FINISHED PAYING AND LOAN IT In THE BANK THE HOUSE IS NOT READY.NOT COMPLIANCE TO LIVE-BECAUSE THERE IS NO BASIC NEEDS-NO LINE OF WATER.
And the ELECTRICITY IS NOT READY. I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN SCAM WITH THIS COMPANY. NOW AM PAYING INTEREST IN THE BANK BUT THE HOUSE IS NOT READY TO LIVE ON. The PRESSURE THAT THEY GIVING ME TO PAY IS NOT FAIR,IF THE HOUSE That THEY ARE SELLING ARE NOT READY. IF THEY WAIT TILL MY REQUEST TIME- THE HOUSE SHOULD BE READY AND I SHOULD NOT BE PAYING THIS BANK INTEREST. Apart from that NOBODY in their part will tell you that they are not ready until they tied you up in the bank. SO BEWARE. THEY ARE SCAMMER

Camella Homes Sucks
February 2, 2023

Customer service is practically non-existent with this developer: my calls, texts and emails, almost all are left unanswered. The quality of build of my house is sub-standard - walls are not straight, bathroom floors sloped away from drain, wrong measurements, cheap material for stairs, doors and fixtures etc. Nine months after my turn-over, I still don't have a proper Meralco connection (among other things, Camella's builder did not provide a service entrance) and water connection. Now i return to where i started here: customer service. You have no one to take care of the concerns you encounter and raise because it almost seems like your emails, texts and calls are routed to a black hole. Looking for your dream home? Beware of Camella. All it has brought me so far are years of frustrations and headaches.

Do not trust: IF the Sales say something, you must document it and have a copy (do not trust we will give you a copy) because when your already turnover and ask for the sales promise, you need to prove it.
Quick Turnover of people: You are talking to an admin to all your concern the next week Admin changed. Already have 4 admins in 2 yrs.
Bureaucratic Process: You send the plans to the Camella engr approved after 7-10 working days then you bring to approved plan to the Camella employed property manager. The Property Manager will send plan to Camella Admin to stamp another 7-10 working days. PAHIRAP!

Admin Gensan very unprofessional
October 14, 2022

We are raising concerns and the admins of General Santos City Camella Office are not very helpful to homeowners at all. I believed when you acquired this property you must be treated fair and just as a client, you wanted to have a small improvements to your own house yet they will disapprove and not help and guide you on how to be able to redo it. ‍‍ And the admin will not talk to you in a proper way. Declining calls always. Unbelievable! Worst!

Started Camella Quezon build prior to pandemic. Once pandemic happened we understood it would delay the build. Camella kept rushing to complete the home and used 3 different contractors. Once the turnover was complete we ran into the below issue.

1. One of the upstairs C/R did not have a pipe connected to the other pipes in the house and began leaking once we final used it.

2. They used 2 different tiles on the bathroom floor that we didn't choose.

3. The grout work looks like a 2 year old did it. "If I can upload photo I will share it"

4. Paint is bubbling and pealing in one room.

5. Electrical outlet/switch stop working with 6 months.

6. We are only allowed to use StreamTech internet provider. Which is only second to PLDT for cost. The funny thing is that they force us to use this company that stated they cannot provide the service in the phase I am located.

7. The office workers cannot think outside the box. They will only stay to file a complaint. They will not follow up with you and keep you informed.

A coworkers wife told use not to buy Camella and I didn't listen so now I'm stuck in a hole I put myself in.

***The home warranty is for 30 days. The says a lot about their product. The length of the warranty shows that they use low quality resources. Think about how long Samsung, Apple or Honda warranty is. The can give you a long time because they know it last compared to a Camella home.

If you want to spit in your own faces; then buy a Camella home.

UNLIVEABLE HOUSE
June 29, 2022

We got Ella Model House from Camella Nueva Ecija, and it was turned over to us in December 2019, a milestone for us after working so hard abroad for years. Supposedly it was a great vacation for the whole family and everyone was excited to enjoy our first family house in the Philippines. Sad to say, the Management said that water and electricity lines were still in progress, and they will be installed in due time. In short, we were not able to moved in. Fast-forward 2022, still waiting for water and electricity lines. Our house started to depreciate without enjoying every bit of it and Camella is charging us HOA fees every year. Next month we will be going home again for vacation. We hope this time we will be able to stay in our unliveable house at Camella Nueva Ecija. This is just to share our experience as Camella Homeowner.

To All Potential Buyers:

Please don't get scammed by Camella Homes. They are only good during the pre-selling transaction. Once you give them your downpayment, equity, trust me, they will be gone. No one from the previous personnel you talked to during the negotiation will be available. Much worst, you cannot even get a copy of your official receipt and Contract to Sell.

I wonder how this company is still able to dupe people.

Camella Homes - Your Monopolized Subd
March 25, 2022

Wow! Camella!" And then I will start sharing my agony and they will say, mabuti pang. Mangupahan na lang. Hahahaha So, nasa. Ndi kame pnapapasok." So nagmove on na kame. I mean, hello? At ung cr, nkakaloko n ndi fully tiled. Horrible set up! If you want to patronize the Villars', then dito ka. Camella Developer, Prime Water nila, Planet Cable, Streamtech internet. Lahat na. Sablay naman mga serbisio!

Save yourself from Camella
March 22, 2022

We purchased our house unit in 2018@ Camella Digos. Sadly, it is already 2022 but our house unit is not yet built. They can't seem to provide you proper updates. If you want some updates, you need to go to their office and inquire. If you ask them why there is still no ongoing construction, they will always tell you that they are waiting an advice or update from their Central Office. Imagine waiting in vain for 5 years. It is a very frustrating and heartbreaking experience. If I can only bring back the time, I will not purchase a house unit from Camella anymore. Save yourself from stress and heartache!
