Do NOT order anything "custom" from BuildDirect. I ordered over 6k in engineered hardwood and then another 1k in "custom stair nose wraps" that are nowhere near the color of my wood, nor the same quality and they gap when put together. Tried resolving with BuildDirect and they are saying "the wood is close enough". The engineered hardwood I bought has veins and knots throughout the planks and the "custom stair nose wraps" DO NOT. They look ridiculous. Jerome in Customer Service cannot do his job nor can he even get a "manager" on the phone. This company should be stand up and reputable and return the nose wraps that I paid 1k for that look like 2 cent laminate. AMAZON carries the same product and has AMAZING customer service. DO NOT USE BUILDDIRECT unless you want horrible service and a "management" team that are nowhere to be found.

Justine Kelly has been wonderful to work with since Feb. Delay due to Pandemic. Finally rec'd our flooring and it looks great!

I apricate the effort made to help me solve my Tile problem. When you decide to remodel and realize the amount of extra tile you bought is not enough, and the Manufacture no longer produces the pattern. It's good to know a place like Build Direct exists. As close as the Sample came and as good as your pricing is. I was able to find a match, not perfect but close enough near me. I had reached out to 10 other suppliers, Build Direct was the only one who provided a sample that I could put down on the floor and get a good comparison. Thank you again Olena, for your effort.

Justine was great from start to finish. Provided a quote quickly, checked in after delivery and even followed up a week after delivery to make sure everything went ok. Highly recommend.

We purchased the Vesdura rigid core vinyl -- planks are about 1/2 inch thick, 7 in. Wide and 72 in. Long. The planks have a good variation in color and tone. Most people, including our painter and our cabinet maker thought it was wood. The extra thickness gives the floor a very nice feel. It cleans up very nicely. We have purchased more of this product to finish two more rooms.

Steve Choi was so helpful when we were having trouble deciding on the perfect floor. Great customer service! He answered our questions and followed through promptly. Floors are a big investment and we are grateful for his help.

I have ordered a vinyl plank flooring online with them. I have ordered many construction material on line with other companies so I I'd not request a sample. Well PLEASE ALWAYs ORDER ONE with them. The color of their website are totally wrong so you will get a total different color for sure.
I then tried to get some money back but because the flooring had been installed ( my apartment is in another state where I leave and I did ask my installer to check on the color) they just gave me back $100 out of a $2200 order Plus the extra box I was missing to finish the floor. Well that box took two weeks to arrive (from LA to San Diego) and on top, when FedEx wanted to deliver it build direct had put a wrong address so I had to chase the manager to fix it because only the sender can change the address. The products are good but the logistic was a nightmare. So be careful...

Our Experience with BuildDirect has been Great!

We ordered free samples (multiple times I might add) of selected hardwood products which were delivered within TWO DAYS by FedEx.

We were hesitate at buying 735 Sq/Ft. Of engineered hardwood online but after searching stores all over the greater Toronto area we could not find a more perfect match unless we were willing to pay 3 times the price! This is including the US exchange rate as well!

We placed our order and it was shipped from Atlanta, GA. Delivered to our door on time exactly 7 days later. Four (4) boxes had damaged packing (Not the fault of BuildDirect) but the product inside was undamaged except for one piece which had a small portion of the tongue crushed. However, I am sure that piece can be used as cutoff:)

We were very impressed with the products packing on a whole and the quality of the product.

I haven't ordered yet, but I will definitely be ordering flooring from BuildDirect for my upcoming project. All of the samples arrived quickly and were actually free (no shipping costs). I was very pleased. The prices are great for the quality of the samples I've seen. And there's so much variety! I'm definitely glad I could narrow it down through samples. I've been working with Olena Kodak in their customer service to put together a quote and she has been amazing! I will update this review after I receive and install the floors, but so far, I'm very pleased with BuildDirect!

Had a great experience buying from builddirect.com Justine was super helpful and attentive checking back on us several times. There was a small problem with a couple of the planks and Justine made sure we were taken care of right away. The flooring is beautiful and is super high quality. The flooring was shipped super fast and arrived without issue. I would highly recommend doing business with builddirect.com

BuildDirect offers similar prices and products of the local big box hardware stores... but BuildDirect offers a much greater selection of products. I am looking for engineered hardwood floors. BuildDirect has a great selection and even has a product hand made in Tennessee. I'm quite surprised at the availability. The customer service is phenomenal. In fact, the interactions with customer service make me feel confident in the products and the company.

I have been working with Olena who provides excellent customer services. She is patient, thoughtful and very helpful. I told her my situation, and she has tried her best to help me select and order what best suits my need. BuildDirect not only offer competitive price, materials, but also provide wonderful service. Give 5 stars to Olena.

I was looking for a floor material for my home gym. I send out a email to builddirect.com customer service and got a response quickly from Oleno Kodak. Who told me honestly, to meet my requirement, I need to buy rubberized floor from elsewhere. Only rubberized floor easy on feet and knee.
I am very happy to hear the very honest answer that helped me avoided making a mistake.

I have received great customer service from Olena during my process. I also ordered samples online and received them within a few days. So far so good!

We ordered Vesdura Vinyl Plank in Scribe and we couldn't be happier! It looks beautiful and it's great quality for the price. Will be ordering more for our upstairs area. We were able to order a sample for free. Absolutely no cost to us. Highly recommend

The floors are 2nd hand repurposed floors. Boards don't meet up to connect it's takes days not hours to install. Floor is priced as new then comes re-boxed with no name in it. Take my advice do not buy from them it's nothing but a headache. The people are very nice, helpful but the product itself is horrible.

I would just like to give a shout out and thank you to Justine Kelly and Sean Corrigan for the excellent communication in resolving an issue I had with ordering the wrong flooring. They went above and beyond in assisting me with the return of incorrect and delivery of correct flooring. Sean was even able to coordinate a swap of floorings on the same day for me as I had to have others assist in loading and unloading the flooring.
