Hi, I have twice ordered the same product. The first time they did refund. The have both times shipped to the wrong address. I have no idea how this company can be this incompetent both items were ordered of amazon and shipped by build not amazon. The first package went to a different zip code. The second was delivered to a locker. This is not the shippers fault they are putting the address in wrong. Do yourself a favor and find another place to buy or spend hours on the phone like had to.
I went on to the website to order a refrigerator and freezer. I was told it was in stock and would be delivered within 4 weeks. I placed my order in November and am still trying to get my items. When I go on the website it's actually showing in stock but Ferguson is telling me I can't get it until March. I will never do business again with them or recommend them to anyone.
I had to have an $1100 commode shipped 3 times, because the first 2 were delivered damaged. ½ plywood used for shipping a heavy wood vanity, but only about ½ of styrofoam for a porcelain commode.
Now, this week, after waiting 12 weeks, I receive the matching sink top. It came damaged. Further, the internal box, a Kohler box, was damaged before it was packed into the shipping box. Build.com KNEW it was damaged before they shipped it.
NOW according to Build.com, I have to wait up to another 12 weeks for a replacement. That's 6 months without my main bathroom because I wanted Kohler products.
If I could give less than 1 I would. They let you place your order, take your money and give you a tracking number. The tracking number is non-existent and their email on the order form bounces back. I am turning this over to my credit card company as a fraudulent charge. Stay away from these thieves
Ordered a 62" Kohler shower door with Build.com. The price was reasonable and I thought I'd be getting a good shower door. The first sign of trouble was the condition of the product upon delivery. The box was in bad shape but I accepted delivery since I could see through the ripped box that the glass was not cracked. Once I opened the box I found that one glass panel had multiple imperfections in the glass and the main track was bent. In addition, one the handles was bent. Did the install (which is not easy) and called Build.com to replace the one glass panel and handle. Received the glass panel but decided not to open. Needed a rest from the last install. I then took the defective glass off the track and started the install of the new glass only to find that they sent me the wrong size glass! I never received the replacement for the bent handle. I called Kohler and they happily replaced the handle. I re-installed the original glass panel and decided to call it a day. When I told Build.com all this they offered nothing in return except a verbal "apology."

Canceled without my permission, no prior notice given nor reason today 11-10-2022.
I complained to Build.com supervisor who told me 8-4-2022 order was canceled back in September 2022. Build.com wants me to pay again to reorder while I wait 7 days for a refund.
I told them this is bad customer service nothing to do with supply chain issues since
6 door knobs are in stock. I will wait for full refund before placing re order.
I used Build in January and had no problem with order. In Sept ordered 3 door knobs and two dead bolts all keyed alike. First shipment: three different keys: second shipment same thing. Third shipment they sent door knobs (two keyed alike and one different) and dead bolts in a different shipment which were keyed completely different than the door knobs. Three strikes and they are out. Every time I returned; a new order and credit card charge, and had to return for the refund. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!
Customer service is a joke! I contacted customer service and no help! I contacted the CEO Bryce and that was even worse that guy is out of tune and worthless.
I was excited to find a deal through build.com for Zline appliances this past weekend. Unfortunately, when I put in a coupon code, the amount increased by approximately $1000. 00. I connected with Customer Service on the price increase and submitted a screen shot with what was in my cart. They let me know there were technical issues and they could not match the price that was in my cart when I was ready to purchase, but instead they offerd the same coupon code that resulted in the price increase. In all my years of online shopping, I have never had such an experience. The companies have honored the customer especially with proof. After I researched the company, I realized that build.com is poorly rated. I am actually grateful this happened as I am horrified with what other individuals have experienced. I do not plan on purchasing any more items from this website. Honor and respect for customers are of upmost importance. IF you do want to purchase items, I would recommend that you look at the company reviews first.
I am too tired to go into all the negatives. Suffice it to say that after they cancelled my initial order upon my request they shipped it anyway. When I advised the repreentative with whom I initially spoken with, he ignored all my subsequent emails even when the 2nd representative contacted him The 2nd Rep said he would fix the situation ad did nothing... the trird Repreentative whom I contacted (long phone holds each time) said he would resolve the matter and did nothing... finally one more attempt I found a CS representative who acttually helped. After dealing with the first Rep I was sent a customer satisfaction survey in which I awarded zero stars... never heard from the company. Would not buy again from build. Com.
I had a kitchen sink overnighted due to a manufacturer issue with another company and needed a specific sink the following day. I paid $200 for shipping. The sink arrived but unfortunately it was cracked. Build immediately refunded the sink and full shipping. Solid company to deal with.
I had a terrible experience with this business. Their customer service is appalling and representatives are rude and don't care one bit. They have sent the wrong item out 4 times. I have returned everything and they still have not refounded me. This is not a serious business -- DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
I ordered a bathtub from Build.com. They sent me two emails saying it would be delivered via freight service on Monday. My husband changed his schedule, staying home from work to receive the order. Monday noon I decided to call to see how long it would be. Turns out the order was not scheduled for delivery that day. So now my husband has wasted a day and I have to take time off next week to stay home and wait for it. Idiots. I'll never order from them again.
It is frustrating when you spend a a lot of money to hopefully get better quality. One of several purchases... an expensive toilet arrives smashed twice delaying your workers and contractor, then you are told you must dispose of the toilets on your own. My garbage company will not take them. So My handicap sister will drive me to the dump (she has a truck) where I, a 65 year old woman will drag them off the back of the truck... The customer service persons told me that she will make a one time exception! And refund the cost of the disposal... but that I must email her the receipt!... I wanted to say would you talk to or expect your grandma to do this Miss? Not her fault... but I probably won't be buying from Build for my Kitchen Reno which is next. ***Additional update edit added I am now having toilet # 4 shipped,#3 also crushed... they are again being sent through UPS! If this one is not perfect,, this is the end... the delay and hassle. USP TOOK BACK # 3 so I don't need to dispose of it. But Kohler WTH?
Bought a Kingston Brass faucet from Build.com, connector was defective and cracked along the seam filling my upstairs closet with water, twice. Called to complain, "not our problem, call Kingston Brass" even though I bought it from them.
Have only gotten a couple of pieces from our order so far. They expected delivery dates are not even close. We received a use faucet in the correct box, however the faucet was not even the correct faucet on top of being a used faucet. The customer service is garbage. I can't even wait to see what kind of shape our bathroom vanity is in when it finally arrives. My guess is it will be going back as well. Wish I had read the reviews in this site prior to ordering.
I purchased a Frigidaire cooktop that had 700 in stock. After paying $1000 for it, I received an email from Build saying it was on BO until October. So I called Build and a customer service rep helped me cancel the Frigidaire order and place a new order for a Whirlpool cooktop. I was then out $2000 but told I would receive the refund for the Frigidaire in 48 hours. The next day I got an email saying that both cooktops had shipped so they couldn't process the return/refund. I wanted the original Frigidaire but Build could not tell me when it would deliver. Customer service was not helpful so I called the Freight Carrier myself and spoke to them. They were more helpful then Build. All together I am frustrated that Build caused me to order two cooktops, charging me for both and cant seem to help me determine when the original will deliver. I am an interior designer so I understand shortages and delays in this industry right now but Build chooses to be the middle man so I think they should take more responsibility for the outcome and satisfaction to the end user. Why was I told the Frigidaire was on BO if it was not? Caused me a lot of hassle for no reason. I'm out the cost of two cooktops in the meantime. And customer service rep was less then helpful in trying to get to the bottom of it for me. I had to make the calls myself. Just disappointed in the whole experience.
I've ordered Kohler Trim to shower it came but for some reason didn't fit to replace the original and looks like piece of plastic not brushed Nickle
I then requested refund which was initiated stated it will take 3-5 business days to get Return label?! And then 10 days to issue the refund! Fraud! They not entitled to hold off to Cash for so long. I wish I had read the reviews before. I sent e mail to them but no feedback as I asked about the label ASAP and May MONEY BACK. Will report to BBB as well. All the reviews are true!
They are still showing selling merchandise on their website even though they do not have it in stock. Such a disappointment. We ordered and paid since march and till today they still do not have the item we ordered and paid in stock. Up to date June 2022, we have received 15 emails from them about they are sorry and delay for another months. They used to great company to deal with, this time they are such a dsisappointment.

Answer: I don't know how you can actually get them to answer the correct lead time. I received an estimated ship date when I ordered an American Standard faucet. Then, they emailed me 3 more times with delays. I called them after the first delay, and while I was on the phone with the agent, she placed me on hold and called American Standard, and said they told her that there would be no more delays. After this last delay, I called to cancel the order. They said they would "request cancellation" from American Standard. The big problem is they charged my account IMMEDIATELY when I ordered the product, but won't refund the money until American Standard confirms the cancellation. The service agent i spoke with escalated to her supervisor, and the supervisor is the worst person I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service.
Answer: Sorry to hear that. What finish were you trying to match? Usually its best ti use the same brand name when trying to match a finish, such as a Moen faucet to match a Moen towel bar or towel ring. That is because everybody has their own technique of making their products. I wonder if the finish on your new American Standard faucet is doesn't match because the other item you're matching in not made by American Standard. You should be able to return it if it hasn't been installed in any way and you still have the original packaging. While we do have an occasional defect get sent out, we are always quick to send a new one out to the customer.
