BUDK DID IT'S JOB. WITH THE PRODUCT, HOWEVER, THERE'S A PROBLEM. AWESOME KNIFE, BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED BLACKENED SAWBACK BLADE WITH THE M48 LOGO DOWN THE SIDE. PROBLEM IS WITH THE SHEATH. THE BACK OF THIS VERY STOUT SHEATH HAS A "ANCHOR TAB" THAT SUPPOSEDLY HOLDS THE KNIFE IN PLACE. TROUBLE IS, AFTER ONLY 10-12 INSERTIONS AND REMOVALS, THE M-48 LOGO HAS ALL BUT BEEN SCRATCHED OFF. ALTHOUGH I'M RIGHT HANDED, I TURNED THE KNIFE AROUND SO AS TO PROTECT THE LOGO BUT THE SHEATH LEFT A DEEP, UNWANTED SCRATCH DOWN THAT SIDE, TOO. I'VE ORDERED KNIVES WITH SHEATHS SUCH AS THIS BEFORE AND NONE OF THEM HAVE THIS
DAMAGING FEATURE. A SHEATH IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT A KNIFE, NOT

Most excellent tool love the blade design allows for maximum leverage when chopping excellent for Gathering kindling for fire also good for chopping through catfish heads when cleaning would recommend to anybody especially for the price around $20 you cannot go wrong
