WORST PUPPY MILL ALERT!
FAMILY PUPPIES & CORINNA'S PUPPIES After a strained conversation with David Chupp on the phone and text I decided to buy an Italian Greyhound from him. THANK DOG I DIDN'T. After a quick google search, I discovered HORRIBLE things about this man and his nasty puppy mill! Here's my text message to him: "Just popped in your address to check out my route and OH MY GAWD! All these articles came up about you being shut down multiple times... Being on the Humane Society's LIST OF 100 WORST PUPPY MILLS... Very detailed bad reviews about your business practices, the horrible conditions of your dogs and facilities... Your unprofessional and rude attitude (which I agree with)... Bad reputation with local veterinarians... and the mentally disturbed responses you put to negative reviews. And you totally lied to me when I asked you about all the dogs on that website. You said they weren't yours... but you have hundreds of dogs... And you breed breed breed the parents and make up nonsense about not being able to see them because they need privacy? BULL! Every reputable breeder... EVERY SINGLE ONE is happy to let you see the parents. Happy to let you see the facilities where the puppies are kept. I cannot in good faith contribute to your PUPPY MILL. I wish all the luck in the world... TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY IN SHUTTING YOU DOWN 💯" He tried to argue the internet isn't accurate, but that would be A TON of people "lying" about him. That would be some crazy conspiracy. So, I proceeded to block him but not fast enough. He managed to get in one last jab... calling me a B*TCH. I'm attaching as many photos as allowed showing all the websites making claims and news articles reporting on his many violations... selling sick pups, ripping people off who asked for returns for a puppy never received/shipped, bad reputation with local vets, my texts where he admitted he doesn't take his dogs to a vet but just "does the vaccinations himself", not BBB accredited, license cancelled, on the 100 worst puppy mills list, complete lack of wellness records, anger issues, traumatized dogs, EVEN A POSITIVE REVIEW HE LEFT HIMSELF PRETENDING TO BE A HAPPY CUSTOMER. So, please do not contribute to this man's seriously shady and disgusting business by buying his unhealthy, unvaccinated, unsocialized puppies. You never know what you will end up with.
This website is fake, they take your PayPal money then you get no dog. The pictures of the puppies are from real peoples social medias they stole the images from. If you copy and paste the picture in google it will show the actual places and pics come from. These scammers have several sister websites that take your money. People have YouTube videos on these scammers and this website PLEASE READ
I found a breeder named "moose" on this site in June of 2020 which is associated with Pine acres puppies…I purchased a French Bulldog that was from OHIO and I picked her up from a handler in NJ… right out of the gate, this dog was diagnosed with congenital pulmonary stenosis, Her first six months she constantly had a parasite she had diarrhea. She was vomiting. She had bloody diarrhea. Finally after getting All of that Under control and on a really good food, she did well for a little while until she started to develop a strange spasm in both of her back legs. The vet noted that her back legs were much longer back than the French bulldog. The spasms in her legs started when she was five months old. Then she developed a seizure disorder, Then she developed cancer … the spasms never stopped and They continued until July 5 of this year 2024 where the spasms started to take over her life and started to happen in her front paws as well… for the past six months I watched my poor girl suffer from Seizures And these debilitating spasms that were result of neurological problems in her genes. On 7/5/2024 at just 4 years old I had to say goodbye to buy Sophie …her suffering was taking over her life, she didn't play anymore she was becoming aggressive with her pain and all 18 pills she took a day were not helping! Please I beg you stay away from any breeder named moose in Ohio associated with Pine acres puppies …I'm beyond heartbroken that I had to put her to sleep to end her misery and continue my own. I spent thousands of dollars on this dog, Over the past four years thankful she had insurance, but the bills were still extremely high. This poor dog had to go to the vet constantly, including the emergency vet her last few days. She was so restless she could not get comfortable. There was nothing I could do for this poor girl except her free so she could run wild without any pain
Hello Kristin, I'm very sorry to hear of the experience you had with your beloved Sophie. Have you reached out to the breeder "Moose"? If you have not, you might want to contact him and alert him of the situation. If you have more concerns or questions, please contact us at [email protected]. We wish you the best and again, we are sorry to hear of the experience that you had with Sophie.
Scam artist and cons are using this site. Also these large USDA puppy mills produce a lot of pups at our rageous prices. Beware of dapple/merle pups. As some of these uneducated mills breed dapple to dapple or merle to merle to get more merle/dapple pups in a litter. These pups then can have eye, ear and other health problems from this bad genetics. I bought pup that was Akc registered and when I got pedigree to see background of pup the pedigree was full of unregistered dogs which were transfered from a pet registry. Even Akc is accepting anything for registry. It's all about the coins the integrity and dignity of registration has been discarded for the almighty dollar. Like these large breeding facilities where parent of pups are treated like livestock. Then when they no longer can produce they end up at swap meets, rescues, humane societies or put down. Same with any pups that can't be sold. Find a repeatable honest breeder where quality is more of a concern than quantity.
Hello Scott. Thank you for your thoughts concerning our website and it's users. We do not support puppy mills or unethical breeding practices. We also do our best to verify advertisers/breeders before they can advertise on our website. We strive to make our site a safe place for the public to find healthy puppies. If you have had an experience that contradicts our values, please email us with details so that we can look in to it. Thank you! [email protected]
I was looking at a puppy for a while and the website said that the pup was still available, I texted them asking if he was and all I got was "no" that's it. And it still says the pups available. Unprofessional.
Hello Tess, We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with a breeder on our website. It is unfortunate that the puppy that caught your eye was no longer available. I checked our website and see that the puppy "Tanner" is no longer available, so it is possilbe that the puppy had just sold and the breeder had not yet marked him sold. I did see that they have another puppy, "Hunter" available. It's too bad that the breeder did not inform you of any other options or pups that were available. Communication is very important and unfortunatley communication via text message can be taken in the wrong light. We hope that you were able to find a puppy that catches your eye, and if not, we wish you the best in your search for your new furry companion.
If you buy from this site, you are a big part of the problem! Please rescue or buy from a reputable, ethical breeder. This is not the way! Don't be that person.
Hello Nancy, Thank you for your concern about puppy mills. Buckeye Puppies encourages ethical breeding practices and in no way do we support puppy mills or poor breeding practices. We do our best to vet each seller on our website. Also, if there are questionable practices, we do investigate and if the breeder is a puppy mill or is unethical in their breeding practices, we no longer allow them to advertise. We have many happy dog owners that have found their new furry friends on our website and many go back to their breeders for additional puppies to add to their family.
Photographer doesn't even show me the pictures before advertising the puppies onn the website
Just takes the pictures and puts them online
If this doesn't change i might switch to someone else
Hello Ervin, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. In the future, simply ask the photographer to view the pictures when they are there. If you have large litters, let the scheduler know that you will need extra time with the photographer. The photographers are on a schedule and like to get the best pictures possible so they can move on to the next customer. Thank you for understanding.
We purchased a Yorkie Poo from Rachel Raber of Lancaster Puppies in Sugarcreek, Ohio. We couldn't be more pleased with the healthy, sweet and intelligent pup we brought home!
Hello Barb, Thank you for the kind review that you left for Rachel Raber from Sugarcreek, OH. She advertises on our website and we are so glad that you are so happy with the little Yorkie Poo that you found on our site. We have many wonderful breeders that advertise with us that bring happy smiles to families all over the country. We wish you and your new furry friend the best!
I am trying to make everyone aware of a breeder in Fresno,Ohio. We bought a puppy from Norman Mast. Very questionable conditions. Showed us the mother and the father and the mother could not even walk. She was so neglected. Tried to text Norman Mast today to ask if our teddy bear dog was a gray blue merle. These are known for hearing and vision problems. From the parents, they told us was hers, there is no way we could have a blue merle, but I'm pretty certain she is. When asking him about this nicely, he blocked me from his cell phone number. The only way to contact him. Red flag everyone. Please do not support puppy mills. The Mast family is big into this. There is a Sam Mast who was on the puppy mill list. They are all related. We need to shut these places down one tragedy at a time. Very curious also about what happens to the poor mom and dad once their breeding years and money making days are over. Hope Buckeye Puppies does not delete this post. Super important.
Hello Linda, Thank you for your review. We do not support puppy mill operations and would like to hear more about your experience. Again, we do not support puppy mills and will look into claims of such on our website. We advocate for healthy and humane breeding practices. Please email your concerns and information to [email protected]. Thank you!
So I was lucky enough to have the sweetest cutest and loving mini golden-doodle ever. But this site support puppy mills at its finest. I drove two hours from Toledo to apples Creek Ohio. She looked so small in her pictures but when I picked her up the Amish breeder was shock that I was black person then try to tell me how take care of my golden doodle but didn't tell me she didn't have any of her shots but lie on the ad saying Lindsay was up to date. Lindsay was only 3 months when I bought her home. She had ear infection bad sooo thanks to the breeder that try tell me how to take care of her hair instead of actually getting the dog shots and check up on her health DONT BUY FROM HERE PLEASE ITS ALL Amish PUPPY MILLS
Hello Kodak, We are pleased to hear that you are happy with your sweet mini golden-doodle puppy. We are not in support of puppy mills and do our best to screen breeders and we also look in to complaints about breeders that are puppy mills. We advocate healthy and humane breeding practices. We advertise for people all over the country and some are professional kennels and others are families that have a pet that they breed to share with the public. If you have legitimate concerns about the breeder that you got your puppy from, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected]. Thank you very much!
The puppy we adopted was listed as vet checked, up on vaccines and microchiped. When we went to get her I asked how we transfered her microchip to us and was told she is not microchiped when asked about vet checked he told us that he does not take his dogs to the vet - he just gets info from other breeders. We got there 1/2 hour early and she was getting a bath she still smelled a little like poop. I never would have left that dog there! She's a great little dog and we love her to pieces but I would never get another pet through internet advertizing! And we never got a bill of sale.
Hello, We are sorry that you were not happy with the breeder that you adopted your puppy from. We strive to educate breeders that advertise on our site. Healthy, happy and clean puppies is what we strive for. If you have a complaint about the breeder that advertised on our site, you can contact us at [email protected]. Thank you!
Anyone selling 50 breeds of dogs is not ethically responsible.
It's impossible to find that many ethical breeders turning out puppies left and right.
In other words, it a PUPPY MILL seller.
Hello Cat B. Thank you for your response and concern. We do not support unethical breeding habits or puppy mills, however, we have a variety of sellers advertising on our site that are raising family pets, as well as USDA certified sellers and brokers finding homes for their puppies. If you have a concern about a particular breeder, please let us know. You may contact us at [email protected]
I bought a mini cavapoo who was 13 weeks old after I paid the lady which she didn't tell me until I stupidly handed over the money she bought the puppies from a friend which she was amish the puppy was throwing up and foaming at the mouth within 20 minutes of my hour drive home I texted her to let Betty stutzman also goes by Betty yoder cause this ain't her first time selling a sick puppy she has ruined her name so now has to lie I let her know all she said was keep me updated Monday I took her to the vet was told it was upper respiratory infection I was taking her word the paperwork she gave me the puppy was Vaccinated and had a full vet health exam well the vet tech notice her vet paperwork had been whited out multiple spots on the paperwork I believe that wasn't even my pups paperwork from the vet I truly believe she died from giarda or another disease I didn't have the vet check her stool cause I believed she had been dewormed and fully vet checked the puppy stopped eating and drinking slowly died after reading reviews on this lady I truly believe she was a puppy mill
Hello Faye, We are sorry to hear about the unfortunate experience that you had with the breeder. We strive to have responsible breeders with good breeding ethics advertise on our site. We would be grateful if you would reach out to us to discuss your experience further as we would want to investigate the situation. Please contact us at [email protected]. Thank you!
Let me start out by saying, we absolutely love our puppy!
I started talking to Alice on the site. We were supposed to get a Micro Mini Golden Doodle, weighing up to 15lbs full grown. He was also supposed to be microchipped and were told he was 16 weeks old.
We communicated through text messages, and responses from Alice took a few days to get back. (she did the behind the scenes work for the seller)
When we picked Buster up, we could tell that he was not a "Micro." I would never have not taken him. We fell in love with him immediately. He was so playful and fun. The man I picked him up from said he would probably be around 17lbs full grown….
Buster went to the vet last week. He weighed 13.4lbs. When my husband mentioned him being 16 weeks old our vet said, he is no way 16 weeks old, maybe 10-11 weeks tops.(she could tell by his teeth. He doesn't even have all his baby teeth. That's how they can tell his age)
I messaged Alice telling her about not being 16 weeks and could we possibly get his correct birthdate and of course no response.
So in the end, we absolutely love Buster! We have no idea how old he is, he's not microchipped and he's not a Micro Mini( maybe a Mini but we don't even know that.
I'm not sure if the original dog we saw in the site was possibly sold twice, so we were given a different dog, or what exactly has happened, just please do your research and ask questions when you get there.
Once again, I don't want to return the pup, I don't want my money back, just the accurate dob.
Hello Sherrie, We are sorry for your negative experience with the breeder and his agent. Communication is very important when purchasing and making a big decision and commitment of buying a puppy. If you would like to discuss this further, you can email us at [email protected] and we will be in touch! We are however happy that you love and are enjoying your new puppy. Hopefully the breeder will get back to you with more details on Buster's birth date.
We got our Boo from an Amish breeder in Indiana. We didn't know this until after we arrived and we weren't going to leave without her. Motivated by fear from all the puppy mill stories, we went straight to our vet. We ran every test we could and had all her vaccines re-done incase her paperwork had been falsified in anyway. At home, we quarantined her from pets of friends and family.
It's been a year, never a problem, and she's still perfectly healthy. My heartbreaks for those who lived a nightmare.
We got lucky!? I don't know. But Boo has been a dream come true and we couldn't be happier. So happy in fact, tomorrow, we are going to get her a sister...(2nd pic)
Thank you, Tracy for the great review. We are pleased to know that you took steps to make sure your new puppy was healthy and after a year, you have concluded that your puppy was and is healthy. We do take steps to not allow puppy mills to advertise on our site. We wish you the same success with your newest little addition. Thanks for the pictures. They look beautiful!
From contacting seller to adoption everything was super great we are 100% happy with our new family member!
Hello Aleksandar! Thank you for the positive review. We are glad that you are pleased with the adoption of your new puppy. We are happy that your experience with the seller that advertised on our site was great. We wish you the best with your new furry friend!
Wanted a Pom saw her on line thought I was corresponding to the breeder with info on the pups parents but she was the middle person. Gave me an address to an Armish farm. Traveled 5 hours. Saw pup purchased what I was told was a Pom for $950. Only to find out now the dog is a mixed breed of three different lineages. Buyers beware
Lucarria, we are sorry about your negative experience with purchasing a puppy from a breeder that advertised on our site. We would like to hear more about your experience and ask that you please get in contact with us. You can email us at [email protected] and we will be in touch! Thank you
I reached out about a female, 11 week old Shiba Inu. The response was immediate. He offered me to come onsite to see the pup. I made the 3 hour drive to Millersburg, Ohio ( Amish town). The home and land was extremely clean. Him and his wife showed me the parents. My pup aaa the last of litter. They gave me Akc paperwork and shot records. A small bag of puppy food and never required a deposit. We have had our puppy just a few days. But so far e eeytgibg seems ok. She has a vet appointment in 2 weeks though. I would definitely purchase another pup from this breeder in the future.
Hello Cynthia, We are so glad that you had such a great experience with the breeder and the purchase of your puppy. We appreciate your positive review. Enjoy your new little girl, I'm sure she will bring you lots of love and enjoyment.
We bought a mix breed puppy off this site rather than rescuing (which is what I usually do) and I went against my better judgement. This pup was a lot older than what we were told, had never seen a vet and they met us at a public place and wouldn't let us see either parent or where they were being kept. Everything that screams puppymill. I handed over the money and the pup was handed to my son. He has a major defect with his penis and requires thousands of dollars in surgery to fix it because it was left like that for so long. How can someone ignore something so obvious like that. Would not recommend
Carly, we are sorry about your negative experience with purchasing a puppy from a breeder that advertised on our site. We would like to hear more about your experience and ask that you please get in contact with us. You can email us at [email protected] and we will be in touch! Thank you
We've had our Corgi puppy for a month. He came to us and started in with diarrhea, ear yeast infection, and Giardia! Have spent over $700.00 in vet bills and puppy still has diarrhea. He has been on medication since we brought him home. Terribly disappointing to know they are selling sick puppies to unsuspecting customers. I do NOT recommend them.
Heather, We're so sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with purchasing a sick puppy from a breeder on our site! We would like to hear more about your experience and ask that you please get in contact with us. You can email us at [email protected] and we will be in touch! Thank you
Hello Stephen, Buckeye Puppies is a website that advertises puppies for breeders across the state of Ohio and surrounding states. We do not raise, sell, or house puppies. We do not charge puppy buyers to purchase from our website. A buyer will deal directly with the seller. The sellers pay a small fee to advertise with us. If you gave a PayPal deposit, that went directly to the seller, not Buckeye Puppies. The advertisements are from actual breeders and we do not steal images from social media websites. Our website is in NO WAY fake or a scam. We have helped to connect millions of families to wonderful puppies. If you had a negative experience, we would like to hear more about it. Please email us at [email protected]
