I purchased a Johnathan and Drew Kristan rug. I love Kristan rugs I own 3 wool. This rug was a different fabric. My daughter is allergic to wool. Upon receiving the rug it looked nice. Bright and clean. Now the fabric colors seem to have bled into the beige and in some color spots gone all together. The fabric material is all matted and some areas piled. In less than 7 months the rug $1000, looks 100 yrs old, dirty and I'm rolling it up and tossing it. Bloomingdales refused any help not even an exchange but did offer a megar insulting loyalist $50 gift card. I'm done shopping at a store that won't bend their policy for a serious situation. No more Bloomingdale's for me.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Bloomingdale's that I feel compelled to share. I placed two online orders, both of which were inexplicably canceled and never delivered. This alone was frustrating enough, but what followed was even more infuriating.
When I attempted to resolve the issue over the phone, I found myself waiting on hold for over an hour. After enduring this excessive wait time, I finally had the chance to explain my situation, only to be met with further disappointment. I requested a call back, which I never received.
What's particularly disheartening is that these canceled orders amounted to over $3,000 of my hard-earned money, which is now in limbo, waiting to be refunded.
This has undoubtedly been the worst customer experience I've ever encountered. The combination of canceled orders, an unreasonably long phone wait, and an apparent lack of follow-through on their part has left me feeling utterly frustrated and dissatisfied.
As a customer, I expect a certain level of service and accountability, especially when dealing with a reputable retailer like Bloomingdale's. Unfortunately, my recent experience has shattered that expectation.
I sincerely hope that Bloomingdale's takes this feedback to heart and works diligently to improve their customer service and order fulfillment processes. In the meantime, I would caution others to exercise caution when considering making purchases through their online platform.
Purchased a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses with order number ******* for a total of $213. I bought them during the Labor Day promotion, and they were delivered to me on Saturday, September 2nd. To my surprise, they arrived in a damaged box, without a case, and completely dirty. They appear to be used. Even when buying sunglasses at Ross, they don't arrive in this condition. Bloomingdale's is supposed to be a "first-class" store, but it certainly isn't. This is very poor service, and they are selling used and damaged items. I invite the consumer protection agency to pay more attention to these kinds of stores that deceive customers by selling used items at the price of new ones."
The item received was not the item I ordered, the tags where from the right garment (white pants in size 4), but the pants I received where size 6, cream with blue strips! The company is going down the hill. I will not be shopping there again. Last fall, I ordered a pair of jeans to be delivered to the local store. The shipping took a lot longer than expected; I left on vacation and was unable to pick up the item. After few days, I received an email informing me the item was returned to the inventory since I did not pick it up. I did not think much about it, until I realized the store never credited my credit card for the return. When I called customer service, they informed me the credit was issued via store gift card. The problem was, I was not present at the time of the return at the store, nor was there credit on my account. About a month later, I received a store credit "gift card" in a mail with a hand written note saying I never picked up the store credit (weird). I called the customer service to ask why the credit was not issued to the original payment method and after the run around, I gave up and decided to use the credit for future purchase. Well, well... when I got around to it, it turned out the credit was used two days after the item I didn't pick up was returned to the inventory. At this point, I called my credit card with all the information collected and disputed the charge. Yesterdays delivery toped it off, It was not even the wrong item shipped; the tags did not match the size or the description of the garment ordered! So sad. I loved Bloomingdales!
My refunds take 7-14 days (a scam to hold my money). I placed 2 large orders last night. They charged me immediately, and then cancelled my orders within the hour. They sent me 2 emails to contact customer service via phone number. I did. They told me they will have to cancel my orders. My refunds will be processed within 7-14 days. Seriously it takes that long to refund my money. I called my bank. They told me that Bloomingdale's intentionally hold my payment for a long period of time and there is nothing they can do. I called Bloomingdale's back again multiple times but I received the same answer/ a lie that it is a standard practice for the refunds to be processed within 10-14 days even if my orders were cancelled within an hour by the company. I am intending to pursue legal actions.
I wish I could honestly rate it lower. The worse customer service I've ever been through. Her name was Donna absolutely ridiculous communication skills nor helpful her ID number is *******. The rudest person I've spoken to has no people skills. Was rude very and beyond words can't explain how one can work in that industry and be so un helpful. Would cut me off when explaining what's going on refused to even give me a real resolution.
Tried to return men's polo and tee, First, hard to even find a sales person. Went to custoner service, and practically accused of dishonesty. "Don't even know if we carry this." When this store goes out of business, it will not be because of online competition. It will be from its own horrible service.
The delivery guy the first thing asked for money. When I asked him if may I have look if you brought me the right one, he rejected directly saying its not allowed to check! How is possible? I asked him just to open the box and show me the bag, but he refused by saying that is company policy!
Not sure what they are doing different than everyone else but they always seem to have the item I'm looking for and shipping and return process are exemplary. Not to mention their first rate communication.
Other retailers should follow and learn from this customer centric retailer. Their buyers, operations and logistics team should be commended. Thank you!
I ordered a pair of silver shoes and received a pair of cream shoes by a different designer that looked WORN! The informed me they I would get a $300 gift card for my inconvenience bit sent $125 gift card. I needed those shoes for an invite. To add insult to injury, they emailed me the incorrect label.
Horrible! The customer service is terrible and they charge you an extra 12.99 to ship quick and the items never come.
One line shopping is awfull. Merchandise comes in stages and then to go and pick it up at the store I had to call a manager to get the people to do their job. If you don't have barcode which I had the print out and they could have looked it up with my name and phone number. The employee working the on-line area did not want to help so everything he typed in my name and phone number was wrong so he said I cannot find it. When they found my merchandise I returned it immediately because I was disgusted with the shopping experience.
I have never ever written a review of anything, good or bad, but the online customer service experience of Bloomingdale's is so totally horrible I had to post. I opened a charge card for the 20% off. I returned some of what I purchased but they removed the 20% from everything I had purchased. I called to share that it needed to be deducted and they said it was taken care of. It was not. I also had value on a return card I wanted to use against the balance. I called and the representative said it was done and posted. I didn't think I owed a balance as a result but again, it was not done. So not only did that not happen I was turn late paying my bill for which I was charged a fee. When I tried to call again to resolve which was on my vacation because I got a late payment notification the customer service was awful. Poor comprehension by the representative and no one could answer my questions and I was passed around. I used to love to shop there but it's just not worth it.
This business has questionable practices for the consumer: i qualified for a promotional gift card based on a purchase and then they lowered the balance of the gift card by $100 when i exchanged a few items for other items. Mind you i actually spent more in the exchange and paid additional money but they claim i return items from the first order and took 100$ away. To make matters worse, when i contacted via e-mail they were completely unhelpful and told me to call customer service. 4 agents put me on hold and rudely hung up on me, while the 5th one actually had the professionalism to understand my situation but told me there was nothing she could do — it is the store policy. STAY AWAY
I ordered a glass bowl set (10 pieces) the box arrived to my door, I lifted it up and the entire box was full of shards! Every single bowl cracked to smithereens! I contacted them and they refused to have someone pick it up. Now what was I supposed to do with pieces of glass all over the place? Completely rediculios and absolutely dangerous
I ordered a coat for $900.00 & ups showed it being delivered but it's not. At which I reached out to Bloomingdales they said they can't help me
What kind of service is this what am I suppose to do?
I placed an order for about $800. It shopped in two surepost shipments, I used to shop Bloomingdale's online and they were always great. Not any more. They have zero customer service in the US and the others answering when I saw were incapable of helping with an order not received, we're unable to transfer me telling me they have no customer service in the US unless you go to the store.
So I don't live near a store.
I'm so angry and disgusted with this company, not only that they have no service to help but when I went online to get my order number I see there's 25% off, so they also charged me $200 more for the same order that anyone a few days later would pay.
It's disgusting really and I'm going to have to dispute the charge now with the credit company because this disreputable company cannot afford to pay people to work that can figure out what to do,
Initially she asked if I wanted a refund or replacement, I said a replacement of course then she said she'd send a replacement and I'd get a confirmation email in a few days. Obviously trying to get rid of the call.
Then I saw part of the order was reordered but I can't tell if they tried to charge again.
I called back and said I want my money back and never to shop at or deal with bloomingdales online again.
I'm at a loss as to what happened to this once great company but I'll never shop there again. Now I also need to change my credit card number cause I don't trust them.
I got a $300 promotional gift card from an in-store purchase in September. No one mentioned the expiration date or the small print on the receipt. Sure enough, when I remembered to use it, it was expired. Their customer service line has a special selection for "expired promotional gift cards". Yet, you wait forever talking to an agent, and then each gives you different next steps, including one agent who gave me an 1800 ADT number to call. I tried a few times and in the end, I got a rude manager who basically told me that it is all my fault for not reading the small print. He was so rude and just shied from splurting out the curse words, but it was in his tone all over. The store won't be on the top of my shopping site for sure.
I always love to shopping at Bloomingdale. Really appreciate their staff, always polite and they gave me couple of great suggestions. Love it!
A racist Bloomingdales woman employee answered my call. She kept on sayin she does not understand my English. I asked to speak to a supervisor is inept. My complain of not getting credited on an item retuned, already received by Bloomingdales is ignored. This supervisor instead transferred me to somebody else is appalling. Bloomingdales' customer service employees are incompetent, do not understand internal efficient communications. I was subjected to repeated questions by 3 different persons is too annoying. Customer service of Bloomingdales is no customer service, but Bloomingdales' employees' self interest service is very bad.
Answer: Most people who shops at Bloomingdales either the store or online rarely care to do reviews on products bought. This is not Amazon. You are on your own. Even the stores website keep asking for feedback but they rarely listen. Compare the website, their product description, etc with other similar stores like Nordstrom, IT SUCKS
Answer: Just google it and the search engine will take you there.
