While the subscription is very affordable, the quality of men on this site is very suspect. I have exchanged numbers with a few men and all they want are more pics, text all day long, or talk on the phone. And they send d pics, so ew... I have to start all over again. They expect you to chase them? And what about dating, do men date anymore? I dont know if it's my expectations, women's lack of standards, too many women to choose, so they fade or ghost quickly, they dont want committed relationships.

I have never been apart of anything like this before, but the experience was terrible sorry to be so negative, but alot things I did not understand. Such as the connect did not work when I summons it. Also didn't quite understand the flirt thing either I just thought as a Novice it should have been experience for me, unfortunately it wasn't. Will not be doing another one of the these. I really don't have to but I was curious, but never again...

Someone I meet a few years ago reached out to me on bpm and we started seeing each other again and agreed that we would be exclusive so we can see where things go. We Both decided to cancel our profiles. After an amazing weekend together he texted me and called me a $#*!ing liar and he could see that I did not cancel. He would not listen he was convinced and now we no longer speak. I called into customer care and yes, even though I cancelled my profile is still up! Why would they do that! So just a warning if you find someone and make the same agreement just know your profile will still show

I've been a member of this site for over a month (I said I'd give it 2 months) and am amazed at how many of the men can't spell or string a few words together for a grammatically correct sentence. Many do not even bother to fill out their profiles and have blurry weird or dark photos or selfies in bathrooms or their car. There are lots of old men who I think are lying about their ages. I am an educated, professional woman and am looking for an intelligent man with good values who really wants something special. While I had a lot of men contact me, most sent flirts and photo likes that said NOTHING! Many of the profiles on the site seemed fake and used the exact same language, usually with bad grammar. So many of them love walks on the beach even when they don't live near a beach, want new adventures around every corner or seem to play in some middle-age flag football league! LOL!

Most of the men I actually chatted with had NOTHING to say beyond stuff like "I like your picture" "hey beautiful" "how was your day" "watcha doin?" etc. Others claimed their membership was ending in a day and they tried to move the conversation offline right away. When I would ask them to tell me more about themselves first, they wouldn't respond. But then they popped up on the site again not long after they claimed the membership was ending.

A few men I corresponded with briefly via chat and messaging seemed to give off negative or other weird vibes, or just had NOTHING to say, and I wasn't comfortable progressing to a phone conversation with any one at all. I don't know what kind of choices the men have, but ladies, my recommendation is to use your hard earned money to join a gym, attend professional networking groups/conferences, take up a hobby, etc. to try and meet potential dates face to face. I know there are good guys out there, but BPM is just not where the quality black men are at.

I don't usually write reviews, but I don't any women to feel the way I did on this site. I had to " report" and " block:" two males within 1 month for harrassing me. Their profiles were not removed. The one created a new profile and continued to harass me. I called customer service and was told that they could not refund the rest of the balance because I wanted to get off the site due to the harassment. I checked today and both males still have profiles on the site.

Black People Meet feels like many other sites when you start, but disappointment can set in pretty quickly.
For instance, I was often given alleged "matches" that were quite far from my chosen criteria, including 20 years younger than what I was looking for, and 100 miles further away than I wanted.
Also, there are some technical features which need improvement. A member can log on and do nothing and the site tells others that the member is online, but the person does not respond. You learn that just because someone is listed as being online doesn't mean that the person is actively engaged in using the site. There should be an inactivity shutoff so that someone cannot appear to be online for hours or even days without actively using the site.
Another problem is multiple profiles of the same person. One day, my "Today's Matches" contained 3 profiles which were all from the same person, with identical pictures and text! Evidently when a member forgets his/her profile and cannot access it, it stays "active" even when the person creates a new profile. This is ridiculous!
Another issue is profiles of different people with verbatim verbiage, leading to the conclusion that someone is providing canned phrases, sentences and paragraphs for use by inarticulate people. This is particularly annoying, because I like to see how a person expresses himself, in his own words.
Worse yet, it appears that Black People Meet tries to play Cupid by randomly sending flirts. Many times I have had people respond to flirts they allegedly received from me which I never sent. I NEVER send flirts because they are canned messages and I prefer to express myself in my own words... more honest and gives potential matches more to go on in terms of learning who and what I am...

Don't waste your money on Black People Meet. The men are so cheap they won't spend the money to purchase a membership so they can send messages or chat. They're only there to gawk at women's pics. Many of them claim to have degrees and can't write. If you look at 100 profiles you would be lucky to find 1 or 2 people that you would consider chatting with, Even though it's not as expensive as many of the other dating sites if it was free it still wouldn't be worth your time. When my membership expires I will not renew.

This website is super sketchy. I got a reply from a woman who blocked me saying that she was not interested but I never even sent her a message. The only thing I did was added her to my favorites. I even saw other messages that apparently were sent by me but I know clearly they weren't as I don't even speak like how they are worded. This site always says you have"matches" but it's actually people who they recommend to you not people who actually like you back. I feel like this site is not very representative of younger people in their 20's. Waiste of time! I'll stick to meeting people in person as I prefer anyways. If I could give no stars I would.

The site lacks integrity and credibility. The majority of the site is filled with fake profiles, the verbal content of the profiles is the same and/or close too it - just a different pictures. Beware of profiles constantly stating I am God-fearing, I love the Lord, I play Rec football, discovering new places and cultures. Take a goooooood look at the quality of the pictures posted. In addition, site administrators are busy in their attempt to keep paying members occupied with "fake" profiles simply to keep them paying... my thoughts - are you that hard up for money? Where's the integrity in that?
