Pros
Supportive Management (Rare but Exists) – The Marketing Manager was one of the only reasonable and supportive leaders in the company. He set the bar high for what good leadership should look like: supportive, approachable, and team-focused. He cared about what we had to say and would always go above and beyond to ensure we were heard. I learned a lot from himβ€”not just about marketing, but about what true leadership looks like. He led by example, treating his team with respect and fairness, creating an environment where we felt valued rather than expendable. Unlike others in the company, he genuinely wanted to see his team succeed and was willing to support us in any way he could.
Initial Excitement & Opportunity – At first, the Social Media Assistant role seemed like a great opportunity for growth and experience in the industry. Unfortunately, this was short-lived.

Cons
🚨 Mass Layoffs ("The Culling") – Half of the team was suddenly fired without warning so my role as Social Media Assistant ended and overnight I transitioned into a Marketing Executive role. This reckless decision, orchestrated by the CEO, COO and Brand Manager destroyed morale and proved just how little the company values its employees. I found out in the same week that I had 6 hours to learn my new role with a girl in my department who was leaving that day. If they had thought more about replacing her than I would have stood more of a chance, 6 hours is not enough time. Months following the change, her training and me figuring it out never mattered anyway as the system completely changed and I had to relearn all over again. This time being more difficult, with minimal help and a 20 page pdf. Then when things went wrong, it somehow landed on my shoulders and my managers, what they failed to listen to and provide was extensive training.
🚨 Toxic Management & Culture – After the Branding Manager took over, the once-supportive environment deteriorated rapidly. She was highly manipulative, using calculated comments to keep both employees and other managers on a tight leash, making them feel insecure or indebted to her. Rather than leading with respect, she controlled through fear, ensuring that no one ever felt safe in their role. The toxic culture spread quickly, and employees were outright told to "accept the toxic environment" as if it were normal in this career fieldβ€”an absurd and harmful mindset that no professional should tolerate. A lot of what she said throughout my employment never matched the facts, which only caused more distrust. Even up until my last day she made sure to make a final, snarky comment before leaving, a final jab before we never cross paths again (hopefully). This not only affected my mood, but the mood of everyone else who came to my leaving drinks.
🚨 Unrealistic Workloads; Unfair Compensation – The team was already suffering from burnout due to excessive workloads, unrealistic expectations, and unfair pay. These issues were ignored by leadership, who pushed employees past their limits without a second thought.
🚨 Broken Promises – When I was moved to a Marketing Executive role, I was promised a pay raise after three months. It never happened. Leadership was full of empty promises, and accountability was nonexistent. This was the final straw for me, and jumping ship was my only option, after all why would I want to stay somewhere that is torturing me mentally?
🚨 A Culture of Fear & Manipulation – The CEO and COO cultivated an environment of fear, gaslighting, and intimidation. Employees were left constantly stressed, undervalued, and replaceable.

Advice to Management (Not That They'll Listen):
πŸ“Œ Stop Treating Employees as Disposable – Firing half a department without warning isn't just unethical; it's terrible business practice. Value your employees, and they'll actually want to stay.
πŸ“Œ Deliver on Promises – If you promise raises and career growth, follow through. Otherwise, you'll continue to lose good talent.
πŸ“Œ Create a Healthy Work Environment – A toxic culture isn't "normal" for the industry, despite what was said. High turnover and panic-induced stress responses from employees should be a wake-up call.
πŸ“Œ Be Transparent & Communicate Properly – Keeping everything under wraps and leaving employees in the dark creates confusion, frustration, and distrust. Important decisions, especially those affecting job security and workload, should be communicated clearly instead of being sprung on staff at the last minute. The secrecy and lack of transparency only fuel resentment and high turnover.
πŸ“Œ Train Leaders in Actual Leadership, Not Manipulation – A manager's job is to support, guide, and uplift their teamβ€”not to control them through fear, gaslighting, and manipulation. Invest in proper leadership training, because the current culture is driving talent away.
πŸ“Œ Stop Treating Fear as a Motivational Tool – Employees do their best work when they feel valued and supported, not when they're constantly looking over their shoulders, afraid of being the next target. A workplace built on fear and insecurity will never produce long-term success.

This company is a sinking ship, captained by leaders who would rather throw their crew overboard than fix the cracks. No job is worth drowning in their toxicity, and accepting this behaviour as normal.

Don't be fooled!
Run to the back of the room with your credit card!
Sleazy selling tactics, fomo, separating the room, "VIP is special ". Fake charm.
No cooling off period. No refunds.
Social media monetisation "free" event is 100% hard sell.
What you are buying is also massively dressed up and is very low quality service that you could get free on you tube. Give it a swerve!
Save your hard earned money!

Overpromised and NO DELIVERY!
July 23, 2024

To all, an advice about business coaches. I want to warn you from Adam Stott who runs Big Business Events, he does not deliver what he promises. This is the most honest review and it comes from my experience, I'm not alone with disappointment.

He removed my access to courses I paid to him - Β£1500 with no refund - Also I was let down by his mentorship Inner circle, I paid premium and no successful delivery. - Β£33 000 no refund initiated from Adam either. There are better accredited courses or more well know like Tony Robins which cost fraction of what Adam charges. His systems are generic and copied from others, nothing new what you are not able to find on the internet for free or little cost. There is no personalization to your needs. There is lots of time waste to listen other people's problems or methods/things which are irrelevant to your business. Learning is from recording which are not created to teach, they are masterminds meetings with other people, access is delayed by week, no extra follow ups on you or help with other resources than a video recordings. You have to travel if you are not close to Chelmsford as there all the events are hosted usually. In my case, it was 3h drive from Bournemouth.

Invest your money in specialised business coach to your niche, for this money you could have someone assigned to you from your industry; to talk and walk you through improvements, even if that would be Β£100 per hour, you would get 27.5h a month for someone who will work closely to you, someone who will be dedicated and easy to reach when you need.

There are some good coaches he employees, due to the system Adam controls and methods of the delivery; their wisdom is impossible to apply.

Please do research about coaching, mentorship before you decide for one, also make sure your objectives are delivered. I'm disappointed and for long time I will be sceptical to trust someone, especially; run if someone take money in advance with no cancellation term or ask you to pay high deposit and arrange finance with 3rd party, such companies does not respect the relationship with you and are not interested to deliver results. Lots of BIG TALKS though and impression of prestige service.

I also left longer review on trust pilot and I'm happy to chat with anyone who would like to find out more.

BELIEVE ME! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
October 29, 2023

Two months ago, I attended an event organized by Mr. Adam Stott, which marked my inaugural experience at a business-related gathering. I had paid for entrance with the expectation of gaining valuable insights. Unfortunately, I spent an entire day at the event, only to find that it primarily revolved around the promotion of products and services. During a break, I attempted to engage in a conversation with Mr. Stott, and it became evident that he displayed little interest or consideration for those who had not purchased his business course packages.

Subsequently, I spoke with several attendees, some of whom had invested in his courses, and sought their contact information for a follow-up in one to two months to gauge the actual impact of Adam's guidance before considering an investment of Β£1500. However, based on conversations I've had today with two individuals who had purchased his courses, I received negative feedback and was advised against making such a commitment.

Despite the promises made to help grow one's business, it seems that after parting with Β£1500, individuals are offered online lessons that, according to my sources, can be surpassed by freely available resources on platforms like YouTube. Furthermore, upon investing in Mr. Stott's program and interacting with his team, it appears that they suggest the need for additional assistance in various areas, such as communication and leadership, followed by attempts to sell more courses.

It is disheartening to witness that Mr. Stott, who evidently enjoys a comfortable financial status, is tarnishing his own reputation in exchange for a few thousand pounds. It is perplexing how people continue to put their trust in him, and some even spend as much as Β£10,000 on his purported solutions. I urge caution, as Mr. Stott's offerings do not yield miraculous results, nor do they absolve individuals of their own efforts.

I attempted to leave a review on Facebook but encountered difficulties in doing so, which leads me to believe that Mr. Stott has taken measures to prevent genuine feedback from being shared. Some individuals have reported him to the authorities for fraudulent activities. I had the opportunity to assist one person who had invested her savings into his courses and had three children to support. Fortunately, I was able to aid her in recovering the funds she had spent on his services.

In closing, I hope you will carefully consider your options and find a more suitable source of guidance and support for your business endeavors.

The expert of FACEBOOK, cannot have engagement on his Facebook page with more than 200.000 followers.
In one post, Mr.Adam got 2/3 likes and on videos after 4 days he just got 200 views, do you expect miracles?

We appreciate your review of our event, but it's clear there are several misunderstandings we need to correct.

First and foremost, our events offer training, insights into our product line, and valuable networking opportunities for business owners. Your portrayal of the event as a mere product pitch is incorrect.

Regarding product purchases, we have a diverse clientele who have reaped the benefits of our products and services. The figures mentioned do not reflect our current pricing model, so we don't know where you got them from.

We take note that you haven't purchased any of our products.

Those who purchased a product at the event you attended benefit from a full suite of support including a 3-day immersive event, regularly coaching sessions, online training and other resources. I don't think YouTube offers the same type of support to business owners.

We don't offer leadership or communication training so again, we are not sure why you have stated that.

Your claim that we have been reported to authorities is a serious one and we challenge you to substantiate it. We have not been notified of any such actions and believe such claims to be unfounded and potentially defamatory.

Whilst reviews are not enabled on one of our Facebook pages, members of the public can review us on all the major review platforms.

We invite you to reach out to us directly with any further concerns or for more detailed testimonials from our successful clients.

Great Business Training
March 15, 2023

I recently attended a free training day in Cambridge hosted by Big Business Events. At first I thought as it was free that it would just be pitching but actually the whole day was full of good content and I filled several pages with notes. The team are really nice and helpful. Would recommend.

Excellent event
September 3, 2022

I recently attended one of their business events in London and I have to say I loved every minute of it.
Adam Stott, Ross and Ben were great speakers and I learned so much. They obviously know their stuff.
Personally I didn't feel pressure at all and never felt like I was obligated to invest in anything else.
I got a real sense that these guys want to help businesses and if you follow what they say, you will succeed.

Thank you for the review. Please allow us to respond. You purchased a ticket for one of our events on October 5th 2021, the event took place on October 20th 2021 and you did not attend. This was a special one-off event with a special guest. Just as would be the case if you bought tickets to any other type of event - music, theatre, exhibition, seminar etc, we do not offer a refund if you do not attend. As a gesture of goodwill we have, on multiple occasions, offered you a seat at several of our other events but unfortunately, you have not attended any of those. Our terms and conditions can be seen on our website www.bigbusinessevents.co.uk. We wish you the very best with your business.

Big Business Event unethical practice
April 28, 2022
Updated review

Adam Stott brags about being a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and contacted them to report Adam Stott's unethical and dishonest practice as well as I am contacting some other media too. I sent Adam Stott a final letter requesting a full refund or taking him to court and I received a full refund. Big Business Events and Adam Stott will continue their dishonest practice. I hope this review is helpful to others who found themselves in a similar situation. Please feel free to contact me for further help.

Good afternoon

Please allow us the courtesy to address some of the issues you raise in your review,

β€’ You mention that Affiliate marketing was promoted in the webinar you attended on 8th January 2022 and that you were interested in our Social Media Monetisation System program because of this. To clarify, we do not – and have never - offered any affiliate marketing programs, so it sounds like there has been some sort of misunderstanding right from the beginning.
β€’ Ongoing support – I understand you had several conversations with members of our support team who were able to answer all of the questions you had regarding the training and the live 3-day event. The Social Media Monetisation program is complete with 12 group coaching sessions which offer members the chance to ask questions, get advice, and receive guidance on how best to use the content in the program.
β€’ The Social Media Monetisation system also includes Chat and Earn Scripts and 3 different landing pages that can be adapted to cater to your needs – full instructions on how to use them are included. The videos are designed for new and established business owners and share how to use a range of social media and digital marketing techniques to start conversations, generate leads, build a Facebook presence, increase brand awareness, and use Instagram marketing plus much more. The Β£297 additional payment is entirely optional and gives access to further training should our clients wish to learn more - it is not essential.
β€’ Full refund – yes, we do offer a refund, but like many businesses across a wide range of industries, it is based on buyers working through the program in its entirety, attending the coaching sessions and the live event, and implementing what has been learned into the business, if the buyer is still unsatisfied with results after this, a refund is applicable. I noted that you have so far been through 52% of the online training and have attended the 3-day event.
β€’ The 3-day event – we pride ourselves on hosting industry-leading business training that offers great value to our clients, we have done this since 2018. We have received hundreds of video and written testimonials over the past few years and our events are always highly rated by forward-thinking business owners. I am sorry to hear you did not have a good experience when you joined us on 19th-21st January in London. We do offer opportunities for further training at the end of the three days but it is entirely up to individuals if they wish to continue with our training or not.
β€’ The results from previous and existing clients that we show in our webinars are based on fact, we would encourage anybody to reach out to the businesses mentioned if they would like confirmation from the business owners themselves. Whilst it is true that (in some cases) bigger results come from working with us over a longer period, many clients have been able to take what they have learned from our online training and turn it into profit.
β€’ Full Terms and Conditions and Earnings Disclaimers are available publicly on our website and links are provided prior to purchasing any of our programs.

Given the serious nature of your allegations and the obvious distress that this has caused both parties and despite the fact that you have attended the live event and been through more than half of the online training, we have issued you a full refund.

We wish you every success with your business.

In January 2022, I was tricked into one of Adam Stott's social media ads to join a free zoom webinar called social media and business Growth Summit. The zoom webinar is three parts. The first start with Adam Stott's presentation and the second is with Ross Temple and the third is with Nick.
On the zoom webinar, Adam Stott speaks offers training on how to grow an existing business or start a business by promoting other people's products(affiliate marketing)
Adam Stott uses aggressive, scare sales tactics; Adam Stott shows testimonials of people who turned into millionaires by using his techniques within a short period as a result of his training. Also, during the webinar, Adam Stott brags about making Β£50,00000
In the webinar, Adam Stott sold, his program for Β£597. You pay this money then you will get access to Adam Stott's wonderland the social media secrets and get you immediate access to his online social media monetization system. This system would unlock your potential in Adam Stott's magical world.
I was convinced by Adam Stott's sale aggression as well as his 100%money back guarantee. As I don't have an existing business, I decided to enroll to promote other people's products (affiliate marketing)
I had some concern over the money-back guarantee and if this stuff is real and works, so I emailed the Adam Stott team asking; Are there hidden terms and conditions for a money-back guarantee? The answer was (NO) you do have to attend every training session and if you are still not making progress then you get a refund. This is the reply I had from them.
Sadly, there is so much misleading information about what big business events claim to offer, so, I paid Β£596.40 to access the social media monetization training. At the same time, participants get asked to pay another Β£297 to unlock access to the social media secrets? I consider this misleading too.
The second part of the zoom webinar was Ross Temple offering coaching programs with separate payments. During the webinar, we were asked to book a call if interested in Ross Temple training.
The program I enrolled in comes with a 3day live boot camp, during the zoom webinar they said it values Β£3997. You will be surprised to know the above 3day live boot camp on Adam's Stott website is Β£197. (Just one example of Adam's Stott misleading tactics).
Based on the above I thought that I am in the right place with the right people to start in 2022.
So, I bought the program hoping for a good start, and I had an access to Adam Stott's Social Media Monetisation System the system of magic. Two weeks after buying the program, I haven't been contacted by the team they don't even know if I existed... but they were too happy to get my money.
There isn't anything related to what I wanted to do. Not a single video. Nothing!
Going through Adam's Stott Monetisation System is a total jock! First of all, remember we have been sold what's it's called the secret to social media, however, within the program itself you get asked to pay Β£297 to unlock the secret of social media…
The program contains meaningless videos on how to buy likes, comments, and views for your social media posts. By the way, if interested just type social media manager on YouTube, and thousands of videos are there for you without the need to pay Β£597.40

The 3day live boot camp is where Adam Stott speaks openly on how to trick people into buying his other programs. In the 3days, I realized that the whole thing is a trick and a hock, Adam Stott is not interested in people who paid Β£597 he has nothing to offer to us unless we are willing to purchase and upgrade to the other programs, and with a higher payment.
In those 3days you realize that the testimonials he showed us in the zoom webinar while he was promoting his business and how he turned them millions are actually on the programs that they cost Β£20.000 or more.

I have concluded these people are big players in misleading people and tricking them in every step. From the start of their social media ads to the zoom free webinar and the three days.
Adam Stott, your program is based on deception and misleading people. The amount of dishonesty in your dealing is unbelievable.
Based on all that, I have contacted them asking for a full refund. Their reply was shocking.
Adam Stott, Big Business Events, I can assure you that I will not give up until I get my money back.
All that I asked for is to get my money back. And I will follow every option until I had my money back.
If you have been misled by big business events and Adam Stott and need help to make a complaint, feel free to get in touch.
The whole thing was set up intentionally to desperately deceive, mislead and manipulate people to buy his products, this unethical practice. I reported this practice to the Forbes Coaches Council and I will do so with other media channels.
