When asked WHY do they continue to keep their dressing rooms closed, I got this response; "We are sorry for the inconvenience. Our dressing rooms are not open at the moment. Our goal is to provide the best shopping experience possible while keeping our customers and associates safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We're closely following the evolving CDC, state and local guidelines, and continuously adjusting our operations accordingly."
My response to them was this; "This is the most lame response and excuse someone can give. I'm not sure what guidelines you're following, but the rest of this county and state are following the guidelines set by this state!" All other departments stores excluding yours and Walmart have their dressing rooms open and are not going against any CDC guidelines or laws. And they are also "protecting" and keeping their employees safe. This is just pure laziness and you really should be ashamed of yourselves for your actions, especially at the prices you charge in your stores. Macy's dressing rooms open. JCPENNEY dressing rooms open. Nordstrom rooms open. Neiman Marcus rooms open. Dillards rooms open. Bealls rooms open. But Belks remain closed because they think they are following some different CDC guidelines that others aren't. Do you think all these other departments stores are going against state regulations?
Come on! Take your head out of the sand and stop making excuses. Join the rest of the world and keep up with the times. No wonder why your store is empty, people are taking their business elsewhere! I know that I won't be spending my money there anymore, and I will make sure I'll pass this response from you to everyone I know, including every social media outlet out there including youtube. I remain... All these companies that use the COVID-19 as an excuse for laziness should close their doors for good!
Bought a Pair of shoes online 1st mistake
Second mistake Amazon is only real service company you can trust these days with returns
Called beck upon receiving my shoes, calves do not fit, first customer service talked to manager and they offered a label for return. 4 days later no label, message was left about my return, I insist they finally find that I did called because the return has been started but they say it is against their policy to send a label! Not only I had to fight for them to see I had called previously, the second customer service could have at least tried to save the poor achievement, but kept saying I do not have a note left I cannot do anything lile if I invented my first call. Morality forget about Belk for whatever you buy, find it elsewhere
Took my money immedustely. I got order confirmation immediately. I got an email the next day saying it had shipped. Then the tracking info said to wait 24 hours to track. It stayed that way for 6 days. I do not feel like a valued customer and no longer hold Belk in high esteem. After reading other reviews it looks like most of your customers agree with me. It will not be long before Belk closes it's doors unless you up your efforts to get timely shipping in place. I'm returning my order as soon as it arrives and i can order the same item on Amazon for the same price and guarateed 2 day delivery. SHAME ON YOU!
They steal from us and never deliver our items... I will not rest till you give me what i paid for! You took what was from me! It was supposed to be a Christmas present $#*!*oles! I will seek legal measures if y'all don't refund me what I paid for that wallet.
I bought a robot vacuum for my daughter in law for Christmas. She was able to use it twice and it stopped working. She had already threw the box away (because whenever you purchase something you don't expect to have to take it back). They wouldn't give me credit because she didn't have the box.
I was trying to return two unopened boxes. I called and kept getting forwarded or placed in hold for phone to hang up. I them texted and when I told agent what it was pertaining to (a return) she left me on hold until time expired. I will NEVER order from BELK on line again. Please read reviews before ordering. DO NOT ORDER ON LINE. ITS LIKE BUYING A LEMON CAR. BUYER BEWARE.
I ordered boots on January 7and was told it would be delivered by the 14 of January
Customer service have no record where my boots are so I tracked it by federal express amend they are trying to locate the boots I have bank receipts of the charge and trying to communicate is crazy I will never shop belk again!
The sales clerk went above and beyond to make sure all of my requests were completed in an excellent manner and to my satisfaction.
Never can find anyone at cash registers. Had a exchange, just wanted to do even exchange. After finally found someone to help me, they told me to go get a item at the same price and it would be an even exchange. I found another item same price, however once again no one at the register. Finally found someone else ( that didn't have a clue) would not do an even exchange. Waste of my time! Ask for manager no manger to be found ( of course). The second clerk that would not do the exchange had No Idea what she was doing. I want go back to the Murfreesboro Tennessee store!
I've been a belk customer for over 30 years and have always been happy with the quality of service, my purchases and tbeir prices. I've never had a issue with any item that I needed to return, however can't say I've had many. Its a great place to shop.
Ordered a Christmas present on Dec. 6. No information from store that this would be unavailable for Christmas. When still had not arrived on Friday before Christmas, called concerned and told it would arrive on Monday. On Dec 23rd received email that present had supposedly been delivered but it had not been. After 3 very long calls to BELK where I was told to wait 3 to 5 days after Christmas present and let them know if still doesn't show up. Belk says FedEx put in US Mailbox. I tell them this would be illegal use of mailbox and at any rate not there. All afternoon wasted before they would give refund. It is now Dec 23 in a snowstorm and despite the refund I still am left with no Christmas present. Beware.
Ordered a bottle of cologne online, called customer service right away because I ordered the wrong size, the customer service representative couldn't help me... I had to wait on the phone for a while then she said I had only 15 minutes to cancel or change my order... Really? I was on the phone waiting on them to answer it! I'm not ordering anything else from this store. Now I'm stuck with the wrong order! Terrible customer service!
Ordered 6 items online Black Friday and have only received 3 items. Paid for all 6 items. One item said it still has not shipped. 2 items said they were delivered and left at my front door. Called customer service all for them to tell me they were out of stock on those items I had not received. So I was billed for those items and given a fake tracking timeline?!?! So mad! Will not ever buy from Belk again!
I placed an order online. I kept getting emails that I hadn't placed my order yet and my cart was full. I placed the order again and ended up receiving 2 orders. Bell couldn't find the order. I waited on hold 3 times for 30 minutes. Each time I was promised a free return shipping label, which never arrived. I finally paid for shipping and enclosed the receipt for reimbursement. The order was $57 plus $20 shipping. I received a reimbursement for a total of $14 instead of $77. I will NEVER do business with them again!
I placed a order for a bed set on Saturday night and received a confirmation email soon after, the next day I decided to check my order status but it just says "order number and email don't match up please reenter". I looked all over the confirmation email to no avail for a order number. After reading these reviews its made me incredibly anxious and I went to customer service and submitted an email, tried chatting with a agent (that had just ended the chat on me), and I have tried calling but only to get "we're super busy". Has this happened to anyone else and have you still received your order?
I just opened a Hanakkuh present from my mother. It was a comforter set that came from Belk. When I looked up the photo of what she was trying to send I saw what I received is a totally different quality of look and doesn't match the photo.
I am calling them tomorrow because they need to be willing to cover the cost of shipping returns for not posting honest photos of their product. Zero stars from me.

Customer service is terrible. Only 2 or 3 registers open. The lines are very long. Also I believe the quality of the clothes are as good as belk once offered.
Got charged twice on my credit card for the same order. I put in my credit cards details and placed the order but an error message popped up saying then order could not got through because of an issue with the payment card so I tried again using paypal the second time and the order went through.
I received afterward 2 sms from my bank confirming I was charged for the first transaction although there was an error message as well as the second on paypal. Sent about 10 messages to Belk customer services and only got an automated message asking me to return the order to tthe shop.
Amazing how they are still allowed to operate when they are essentially stealing money from people
If you order online they place a hold on your card of course but when the item ships it's supposed to be released and charged but twice they have charged my card and not released the hold for days later. This has caused me to not be able to use my card again on both occasions. I thought it was the Belk card but Synchrony that holds the Belk account says it's not them that it's Belk and to contact Belk to release the hold and to tell them it shows as charged. The first time I gave up with the cs agent but this te I got to a supervisor who said that even tho they shipped and even tho they charged the hold won't be released for up to 7 BUSINESS days! I am basically being double charged until THEY decide to release it! I don't think that's legal and has cost me from buying things at the store or ordering for Christmas!
