BELK IS THE WORST I ordered several items from them online since there was a good deal and also doorbusters. They send part of my order and Then part of my order was automatically canceled without any notification. I called customer service, and They promise to fulfill the rest of my order at the price I ordered it, they even send me an email stating they will honor the price, but do not believe them, when you call they will try to sell you at the original price with 15% off REALLY! I AM STILL WAITING ON THEM TO CALL ME BACK, WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY. OH, CUSTOMER SERVICE OR SHOULD I SAY NO SERVICE a waste of time, and don't bother calling corporate it sends you right back to a regular customer, I will return that part of the order they sent, I will Never shop a Belks again. DO NOT SHOP AT BELK, Not recommended to anyone at all. I would give ZERO if it was an option.
On December 20th of 2022 I ordered a pair of shoes with bees on them. They shipped shoes that are supposedly cheetah print. I hate animal prints. I immediately tried to return them to the nearest store. They could not take them back because they are a third party sale, some nonsense about a "marketplace" scam, which I did not understand, but it sure sounds like Fraud. I bought them from Belk's website using my Belk account, Belk took the money by hitting my account for them. I tried to call the number they gave for "marketplace" issues. No one answered the phone. I tried talking to Belk about it, both on the phone and via chat, they told me there is nothing they can do! I opened a case, that no one ever followed up on. After another phone call, an agent opened another case that no one followed up on. A week ago I was told to wait for 72 hours... It's been a month, *A Month* since I tried to buy bee shoes from Belk. I no longer trust Belk. I have spent thousands at Belk in the recent past. I did not order cheetah shoes, (which do not resemble a cheetah print anyway, can't really tell what it is) I'm done. I tried to return these shoes. I did not order these shoes. I do not like these shoes. I will not pay for these shoes. I will not pay to ship them back. I am unable to reach anyone that is willing to do anything about it. I have paid off my account minus the amount they owe me for these shoes plus tax. So now, after an in person attempt at a store, online chat, multiple phone calls and multiple emails, there is still a $54.11 balance hanging out there that they need to clear before it hits my credit report.
Customer service is the worst no register in major departments home childrens or mens. No employee helped just kept doing inventory. Lost big sales probably around 6 or 7 hundred dollars. What a shame. Left stuff in floor and went to home goods and ultra beauty. Customers should be number one sales at the end of night should be important. Cindy Katherine should be running store. Bring ANGIE BETH who knew their Customers by name. No one T make up counter somone in shoes and jewelry called over to say they would help when they were busy with other customers. They knew nothing about clinique products. Why is jewelry running over to do cosmetic departments. Our time is valuable had other appointments. Lost another sales went to ultra and spent 260 in products. Will not a customer in a store were manager cared more about inventory than making a sale. Though you quys were there to make sales and the store a profit. You lost a older loyal customer get Angie Mallory and BETH HARRIS. WHEN CUSTOMERS WERE IMPORTANT. WITH OUT CUSTOMERS YOU DONT HAVE A JOB Get rid of smart mouth managers who careless with customers and the service we deserve. Bring back a team who knows their customers by name. Your former loyal customer who now will shop somewhere who think we deserve respect and good customer service. Give Cindy and Katherine who are the only ones who knows and speaks to us we are not a nuisance we are your job. Start looking soon I can see now while you had to file bankruptcy. I have a wonderful experience today in belk in athens. Kelvin is the best sales associate I have delt with in a very long time. He was extremely helpful in helping me find what i wanted, had a wonderful personality and attitude and very knowledgeable at his job. I give Kelvin in Athens Ga Belk 5 stars all across the board!
I was in the River Crossing Store in Macon, Ga on my lunch break. Upon entering the store all you could hear was a rap type music (with cursing) I was very offended by this. Even when I went upstairs to the children's dept. you could hear this music. It is Christmas! This is not what you want to hear in a Dept Store. I shop at this store frequently and do a lot of business online but after today they have lost my business. This was absolutely ridiculous and I can't believe a store manager did not say anything about this. When I called the store which took hours - no-one would answer the phone, the manager could have cared less. I am so disappointed because I have always loved shopping Belks.
We went to pick up a couple of items at our local Belk store on New Braunfels, Texas. There were only TWO cashiers in the entire store, and one of them was looking on their phone while slowly, slowly helping the person in front of them. The other was backed up and neither appeared to know how to operate the register. There appeared to be a few other employees wandering among half-stocked shelves. My wife used to like to go to Belk, but it is nothing like what it used to be.
Don't order anything from this company.They will send you anything.You willnt get what you order.l will never order anything from this store.
Ordered bedding pillow shams were not sent as advertised in the christian sirano snow leopard collection. Stay away after researching company this is a constant thing
I made a fine jewelry jewelry purchase. 12 months NO interest. They Did charge interest. I notice this about month 4. I called spoke with customer service took them so long to understand but they said it was fixed. Two months later still charging me interest. I called again was on the phone exactly 1 hour. Lady very nice even got her supervisor to help her. Was told problem fixed and any finance charges were returned to my card. Nope! Didn't happen! I just went ahead and paid the bill off which wasn't cheap. I did it to keep them from taking my money in interest. Unbelievable!
Ordered the second day of November and it is now 12/8. I ordered several tops planning on wearing on Thanksgiving now wondering if I will get them for Christmas
Ordered a staff member a suit online. Coat was fine. Slacks ordered 11-11-22 and received 11-16-22 and staff member reported slacks were too small and please order larger. Their return page was not clear on exchanges, in exasperation I went back to their site to order the slacks, the price had went up from $61.25 per pair on 11-11 to $175 per pair on 11-16. Belk would not give any consideration to the order on cost, I called their horrible customer service department who told me if I needed the slacks they were now $175. Nice markup there Belk. Poor business practice. Buyer beware.
I closed my account today! I use to pay $29.00 Monthly payments! Once I closed the account today I received my next month payment due $72.00 dollars! Are they mad I closed the account? No company should treat a cardholder like this! I will NEVER shop there AGAIN!
I ordered travel bag for my emergency trip to out of country and bag came damaged, I have to leave in next day for 2 months and they told me you need to go to Belk store for further assistance and ended my chat, if someone have emergency and don't have time how they can go? They should send me another bags is priority, I have to order that on Amazon and paid extra to faster service,(next day)
They didn't gave me refund or support, I lost more then $100 plus spend extra for another

They sent a set of towels "Modern Southern Home" bath towel, hand towel and washcloth that were very nice. When you reorder they send you the same brand of towel but the new ones are thinner, very cheaply made and feel more like sandpaper! They said they were "on sale" they also said buy 2 get 3 free but they only sent 2 sets! I'M DONE WITH THIS COMPANY!
Just had a terrible experience that could have been prevented had anyone at Belk cared about their customers. I tried to place an order online last night and it wouldn't go through. I tried repeatedly. Wasn't anything I did wrong and just to be sure my husband tried too. He's a web developer and he couldn't get the site to work either. Customer service hours shut down early and so does chat (!) so I sent an email and called today.
First of all, the response to the email showed the email was not understood. They extended the coupon that expired last night, although the link they gave me didn't help so that was useless. But that wasn't the main problem I wanted to address and the fact I couldn't order was ignored. So...
I called Belk and talked with Heather. She told me the sales price ($12 vs. $15 per item today) couldn't be honored as I failed to provide a screen shot of the sales price to prove it. #1 - BELK should know their own prices, and #2 - really? I have to prove $3 off to you? She acted as though I should have KNOWN a screen shot was imperative. I asked for a supervisor. After a few minutes, Heather came back on the line and told me the supervisor agreed with her. Could I talk with the supervisor myself? No.
That's when I informed Heather I was taking my and my family's business elsewhere and would be warning everyone I could to stay away from Belk. Got a request to review Heather shortly thereafter and I most definitely DID review Heather's TERRIBLE attitude towards customers.
I should have been believed. It should not have been my responsibility to prove Belk's price. And I should have been treated politely and I should have been referred to the supervisor. We've been Belk customers since 2009. Not anymore!
After purchasing shoes that teh description was not what it looked like. Called to ask for help in the shipping after it said free returns and agent super RUDE AND UNhelpful. Be careful do not buy anything here.
Spent 82 dollars on a 60 dollar item after spending two hours at checkout because they for some reason don't expect any visa even though It say they do, after all of that I waited three weeks for the item and got it way past the event I bought the item for, terrible website
Seven people in line today and AT LEAST three employees standing around talking. Get grip and quit using the pandemic as an excuse. If you want people to come back to brick and mortar, I would suggest that you make in store customers more of a priority.
I never write negative reviews, but Belk is absolutely terrible. I cannot get over the lack of pretty clothing, lack of employees do assist customers, and lack of inventory. I went to two different locations to find a basic cream or black sweater and neither had it. I waited for help at the cosmetic counter (no employees!) only to find they were out of three of the four things I requested. It is so frustrating! The last time I visited the third Belk in our city I could not believe the disorganization of (ugly) clothes, to the point I took pictures of the complete mess to show my husband, and told the employees they may want to talk to their manager about it. It was unbelievable! And no help to be found. Piles of clothes shoved together everywhere on racks and in the floor. You couldn't see or find anything even if you wanted to. I used to love Belk and I am not sure what happened post covid. Why even go to Belk when you can go to Saks where things are in stock, or order online. I give up on Belk.
