Absolutely terrible. The worst company I have had the unpleasure of dealing with. Avoid Like the plague. Should not be allow to trade they sell low quality and sub-standard products and do not back up their one year warranty. I am reporting to trading standard and national media today!. Jokers!
I bought a 2000 pocket sprung mattress with memory foam from Beds.co.uk, and hands down it has been the worst mistake I've made this year. Although the mattress looked ok on receiving it and unwrapping, when you lay side by side on the on the bed, you were both thrown into the centre of the bed; bare in mind this was suppose to be pocket sprung which is developed to keep the bodies independent when laid upon!
Obviously we were unhappy about this but gave it a second nights trial, and still woke up achy and unrested. The worst part is dealing with Beds.co.uk's after sales team, firstly they will pas you around the office, with almost insulting excuses, then there are calls for photographic evidence, that they don't reply to and eventually promising numerous call backs that never materialise.
Even when Paypal were involved to resolve the issue, their calls for fair play were dismissed. If it wasn't For my diligence, Paypals backing, and a fantastic courier that returned it back to them with photographic evidence (Beds... will try and deny you trying to return their shoddy items) a month and a bit down the line I can finally wash my hands of these charlatans.
They delivered a bed without the parts to fix it. They also delivered a drawer that was broken. When I called them to send the parts to fix the bed and replace the broken drawer, they said it was sent but I never received them. It has been over 3 weeks and still I have no bed to sleep on, because the parts were not delivered.
I called them about this issue to the point they started to ignore my calls and hung up on me. I am unable to reach anyone who actually knows what they are doing or talking about. I still have no bed to sleep on, not even a refund or any persons I can speak to as I am constantly getting transferred or ignored.
I feel the company is fraudulent and they need to be reported to the trading standards!
DO NOT ORDER from them!
I have waited all day for a delivery of a mattress and it didn't come! I got an email confirmation yesterday that it would be here and I have moved furniture around. Waste of time! The phone line is supposed to be open until 5.30 but it was switched off all day... is this even a really company? Do not order from these fraudsters!
Awful service from an awful company who takes orders for beds they haven't got in stock...
Currently awaiting my refund a week after requesting them to cancel the items. I spoke to someone on the phone regarding an order I placed on Thursday April 27th. Although I had seen the same bed cheaper on amazon, I elected to order from beds.co.uk as it was advertised with next day delivery (and I ordered before midday) & my previous bed broke so I was left to sleep on a mattress on the floor. The bed didn't arrive on Friday leaving me sleeping on the mattress on the floor every night until The Tuesday when I could contact them again. I was also working that morning and missed the delivery of the bed (which was expected 4 days before). Beds.co.uk and the courier company then said they can't deliver the bed until Friday this week (again... Dont advertise next day deliver if not possible), leaving me bedless again. When I called again the person on your phone told me he couldn't do anything because "I just work here."
I then asked to cancel my order and asked for a full refund to be told they cant do this because the missed delivery is my fault and there will now be a £29 charge to rearrange delivery.
Just no help or Amy level of customer service.
We purchased a bed and mattress for my brother from beds.co.uk before we saw the negative reviews. Naturally, after reading the reviews we were quite concerned that we'd get messed around - this didn't happen. We called the following day and were given our delivery date. The day before delivery we received a text confirmation stating approx delivery time. On the day of delivery the driver called, who was very polite, to advise that he was 10 mins away from the property. The bed is now up and my brother is very happy!
WE ORDERED A KING SIZE MATTRESS ON SUNDAY, ADVISED BY EMAIL OUR ORDER AND PROMPLY THE SAME DAY HAD ANOTHER EMAIL SAYING THE MATTRESS WAS ON ITS WAY, HAD A CALL FROM THE DRIVER THE DAY BEFORE TELLING US OF THE TIME SLOT, ALL DELIVERED ON TIME, NO DAMAGE, GOOD QUALITY, OVERALL EXCELLENT SERVICE. THE COMPANY IS CORRECT THAT YOU GET NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON THE SITE WHEN THINGS ARE WRONG AND WHEN THEY HAVE HAD GOOD SERVICE PEOPLE TEND NOT TO WRITE A POSITIVE REVIEW. OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS FANTASTIC, WE ARE HAPPY WITH OUR MATTRESS EXCELLENT QUALITY, AND I WOULD NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. WELL DONE BED.CO.UK ON A DESERVED PRAISE ON YOUR PRODUCT AND ALSO YOUR DELIVERY STAFF.
I have used many internet based companies over the years and these are the worst ive encountered.
I ordered outdoor furniture which the website said was in stock for immediate delivery circa 2/4 days, they took the money immediately and i waited to hear from them. After a few days i tried to contact them, over a week and two hours of being put on hold i never managed to speak to anyone. After 10 days they informed me they might have stock in another 6 weks.(the website still shows item in stock for immediate delivery).
They also sent me 5 e mails saying they attempted to ring me, but on each occasion no record of calls were left on my phone.
After getting my credit card company involved i got a full refund but have no trust in this company. The item is still in stock for immediate delivery according to the website. Buyer beware and always use a credit card for purchases over £100.
Ordered sleigh bed with memory foam mattress on Thursday 9pm - arrived Monday 10am (bank holiday- so 3 days for delivery)... bed was excellent quality, all parts present and mattress excellent too. Excellent price and product... would definitely use this company again.
I ordered a double bed from this company which arrived on April 15th. There were staples sticking out all over the place and a dent in the base, but as I'm heavily pregnant I accepted it, removing the staples myself and rationalising that no-one would see a dent in the base.
What I couldn't accept was the wooden headboard snapping in my hands, it was so flimsy it caved. I contacted Beds.co.uk that very day and was asked to provide images (fine) to ensure it was actually their product. No apology, no concern, just the suggestion that I was requesting a refund on a product not event provided by them. Nice.
I swiftly sent across photo evidence and received a reply saying they'd only pay me £5, a fraction of the cost of the headboard. Ermmm, why?! Again no apology at all just a blunt response from a lady who turns out to be the customer care supervisor!
After multiple emails and being passed around to 3 different tesm members, they've agreed to pick up the broken and dangerous headboard and then give me a refund on it. No delivery time specified so stuck in all day.
And just to top it off I've repeatedly called the complaints department but lo and behold they're not answering!
I ordered my bed online and rang them a few days later as i had read bad reviews. I received my confirmation by email and during my phone call booked my delivery slot. Emailed the day before to. Check all ok for delivery and got a personal phone call and email. Delivered on time. Great mattress and divan. Very pleased as these were twice the price in dreams.
I spent ages looking for a nice but moderately priced storage bed before i came across the *** - I opted for a nice pocket sprung mattress and the whole package came to about £350. I was impressed that the beds were available next day but as i work full time i needed to organised a day off to be in for delivery so arranged delivery for approx 2 weeks later. During that time I happened to check the T&Cs of the delivery service and noted that the service is meant to be a 2 person service but unfortunately were under no obligation to take the bed further than the communal door of a property! I live up 3 flights of stairs so this was quite shocking to read. I kept in mind that it would be a 2 person delivery and if i asked/offered a little extra they wouldn't mind bringing the bed up as I live alone. Boy was i wrong! I got buzzed by the courier demanding i meet him at the communal front door, he would only deliver to the outside of the communal door (not even in the lobby) and he was, in fact, alone. I asked for help getting the bed upstairs and offered the delivery driver money but was refused. I was forced to move an entire double bed and mattress up 3 flights of stairs alone - utterly disgusted.
After eventually getting the bed up to my flat (after an hour of trying), i set about assembling the bed (something I wasn't sure i would have to do given the description of the bed never suggested whether it would come as an assembled frame or not). The bed came in so many parts and a lot of places where screws were required did not have a marking or the start of a pre-drilled hole. By the end of the day I had an assembled bed - but aching muscles and hands that lasted 3 days. Although everything was done 'by the book' by the company - I wouldn't buy from them again.
Ordered beds for delivery the next day. Informed will be arriving between 6-12midday. Delivery did not arrive, after calling beds.co.uk I was informed oh the items were not loaded on the van so we have to rearrange delivery. Neither did beds.co.uk or premier deliveries have the courtesy to call and inform me.
Delivery rearranged for following week Tuesday between 12 and 6. I called the delivey company at 3pm to get an update who advised me that delivery will be amde between 5 and 6 as driver stuck in traffic. Driver did not turn up.
Following day beds.co.uk rang and informed me that one of the beds is out of stock. All this time in between the manager and the staff didnt even think to tell me it was out of stock. Apparently they will take orders even if the bed is out of stock and inform you it is in stock. The manager arguement is orders placed befor yours are dealt first. Which makes sense but aint you heard of stock take. Surely those sold before my order are taken of the stock available. The whole lot of am are dishonest. They will tell you lies from staff to manager. I advise you stay well away. Will reporting the company further.
Well I can honestly say that I have never ever received such poor customer service or paid for such a poor quality product. The below is the actual sequence of events fact.
1. I ordered a new double bed to be delivered the day I moved into a new house. The bed was due to be delivered by 2pm
2. At 12 oclock I called the company just to check
3. I was told sorry the bed was not put onto the lorry what?
4. The phone then went dead. I sat waiting for them to call back. They didnt. I called back and was told the same story. Delivery was rearranged for 2 days later. 2 days of sleeping on the floor
5. I rearranged a work meeting and took a days holiday to take delivery of the bed
6. On the morning of the supposed delivery I checked my emails to only discover an email informing that the bed would not be delivered for another 2 days.
7. I called the company obviously not happy and requesting some compensation
8. The compensation was £15 and agreement that the delivery people would bring the bed up the stairs?!?
9. Day of delivery. I receive a phone call from the driver asking if there is someone at my home to lift the bed?!?
10. The bed eventually arrives. Well most of it
A. The bed requires 8 castors. It came with 4
B. The headboard requires 4 screws to fix it with the bed. It came with 2
C. The bed comes in 2 parts and requires 2 bolts to keep it together. It came with 1
This is one of the most stressful retail experiences I have gone through. I cannot believe this company is still operating. STAY AWAY
I ordered the 2000 spring ortho at £245 on the 6th April. With prompt payment. I received a phone call on the 11th to say it will be delivered the next day. A phone call from them on that day saying problems with delivery and it will be delivered the following day. So I waited in again this being my 2nd day off work only to receive this item. No delivery not even a phone call this time. I waited till the next day now being Saturday 14th I phoned the office and they told me its not there usual delivery service and they will resolve it. I shall give it till Monday for it to be resolved either by the bed i ordered being delivered that day or a full refund if it is a good review on its way if not. Then I shall contact PayPal. My bank, trading standards and my solicitor. Mr Smithson. Bd4 8ey.
I bought a double bed divan with storage drawers and within a couple of months the base had sagged & deformed. Upon inspection the base was made of cardboard type panel which was only supported at two points and was totally incapable of supporting any normal weight mattress and occupants!. Bed is totally unfit for purpose and when I called the customer service and eventually spoke to an advisor (after around 45 minutes!) I was told that the bed had no warranty! Upon remonstrating that the bed was unfit for purpose I was told that I would be contacted... am still waiting after a month! Incredible that a supposedly reputable online retailer can treat customers this way!
Bought mattress may 2016. Faulty and replaced September 2016. 2nd mattress faulty. No answer to calls emails and complaint letters as I have a year guarantee confirmed in email on replaced faulty mattress. Now having treatment on back. Orthopaedic mattress is a nonsense. Con artist
I must say I am extremely impressed at the service I have received from start to finish. Ordered a Rimini 4 drawer sleigh bed with a memory foam mattress. Was advised of a delivery day the same day. Was advised by premier deliveries of my time slot and the driver called me 15 minutes before he arrived. The driver was really helpful in assisting me with the bed into my home. On assembling the bed I found I was missing a few screws. I contacted there customer service department who were extra helpful and apologetic. They posted my screws to me which I received within 2 days. Excellent service all round I will recommend beds.co.uk to my friends and family. To future customers, I was a little put out off by the reviews but only had a small budget for a new bed. They were the best price so took a leap of faith. There service has been great.
