Waste of time and untrustworthy men on the site falsely claiming to be single and unmarried
Encountered several scammers and lying cheating men. Needless to say avoid this site. They claim to monitor for bad customers with profiles that are misleading or false, but they do nothing at all, as I have reported this several times. All they care about is taking the money and ignoring complainnts.

They said my account was compromised, when I hadn't even finished filling out the profile information. It took 2 months for them to get it set up and I had to send additional identifying information along with a new email. So I try to login with the new email and the auto-emails started again asking for all the additional identifying information. I do NOT recommend this site to anyone that is trying to protect their personal information

I normally check Sitejabber or Yelp for reviews before signing up for a dating site due to past experiences, but I fumbled the ball on this one. The men on here don't read the profile after they look at your picture. They just leave a message without checking for compatibility. They want you to send your number instead of just swapping numbers which is a huge red flag for me. Then you can't filter according to your area, age, preference in what type of relationship you are seeking. I had this one man that stated he could not recall what my profile said but could remember what I looked like, and asked me what I was seeking. When I told him a friendship that had the potential to lead into more and this was stated in my profile, his response was, hmm. (Here is another one not reading my profile). He then proceeded to try and steer the conversation to s-x after only the second day of speaking with him on the phone and proceeded to accused me of not being exciting enough because I would not indulge him and it was just "adult talk". WT-? We are in the initial stages of communicating and have not even met yet. This late 50's man used emoji's as a form of communicating with me but in my observation it was to avoid answering certain questions about himself especially when it came to marital status. I told him he would be wasting his time on me, but it was me that did not want my time wasted with the constant text messages that I was trying to decode. I felt as though I was communicating with a 13 year old. I don't know which was worse, the stupid emoji's or his broken grammar in these text messages, yet he claimed to have a Bachelors degree. I would guess about 70-80% on this site are not seeking anything serious, so ladies think twice before handing over your money. Thank goodness I only paid for one week but even $1.00 to this site is too much. Never again.

All the reviews are accurate, we scam people for money and when the money runs out we cry to Dan Andrews who shut down Sittr because he has invested in the company with Covid money meant for the people in Victoria, Australia. He also gave Covid money to Jason and Maureen who own the site called Sexyads.

Andrews shut down Sittr because it's well known that he has used prostitutes during Covid and is currently having to pay a prostitute who has a photograph of his penis as collateral. She met and had sex with him, breaking Covid laws at the time, he tried to 'get it' for free, she refused and he got angry. She got smart and now Andrews' is a sad, fat, micro-penised guy.

Anyway, 90% of the photos are fake and there's no guarantee of replies from people - most people even with Gold and Platinum memberships are fake as well.

They take money and it appears African women are scamming the site. They are liars and thieves here.

I received two email notifications that I created an account. They both said "Dear Grace..."
I am a 50-year-old married man who has never seen or heard of this website. This appears to be a fishing expedition on BBWCupids' part. I would really like to know where they got my work email.

I'm not about to click on either of the links that say;

Why would a reputable website have an option that says "Didn't create this profile?" The FCC will be getting this report as well.

I notice that every other negative review has a comment from BBWCupid. Mine doesn't... maybe they remember me eh?

If the website wasn't completely based on lies, it might be a worthwhile site to go on. Maybe if you didn't have to pay to do something as basic as sending messages, you might have more people willing to stick around.

Don't let them tell you otherwise. They bait you into buying a subscription with fake messages, but once you sign up, you get nothing. It's a classic cheat business strategy by dating sites.

The site is a scam.

I have been a basic member of BBWCupid for quite some time, however I just cannot bring myself to upgrade my membership. Having been an upgraded subscriber on Zoosk, Ourtime, and Tangowire, I have had the benefit of "test driving" these sites before paying to join.

I have read most of the user reviews published here regarding their experiences on the BBWCupid platform, and I tend to agree with the vast majority of them.

Although I cannot unequivocally report that BBWCupid is a total scam and disingenuous platform, I definitely have my suspicions. Here are my discoveries:

ALGORITHMS: As highlighted in several of the reviews, the algorithms employed on BBWCUPID to vet "members" are quite abysmal. FOR INSTANCE: I have entered search criteria that returned matches that were totally off-the-mark, especially location and demographics. When I entered search parameters for members within a designated radius and age range, I received listings of users who did not remotely match the criteria- users were located hundreds of miles outside of my parameters. I mean, a search parameter of 250 miles from New Jersey should not return "matches" in as close as Florida (over 1,000 miles away), and as far away as Colombia (2,500 miles away). I tried to be fair by testing, refreshing, closing, re-entering criteria, and each time, I either received the same members, or other matches that were totally incompatible.

MEMBER DEFINED SEARCH INPUT CRITERIA: One of the MOST annoying aspects of the BBWCUPID database is the manual input search criteria. Geographically, the site searches in chunks or regions, failing to allow the user more autonomy. For instance, I cannot search by my zip code. Instead, I have to choose a town, pre-defined and listed on the city drop-down menu list. The closest town in that list is fifteen miles from my current location. Since I can never find members in that search range, the next search choice is fifty miles away, which generally returns results of people who are at least sixty-five miles away from my furthest "closest" town. I have resorted to searching 250 miles away just to try and find someone remotely compatible. That is ridiculous and shameful.

SCAMMERS: BBWCUPID is loaded with scammers. Loaded may be a stretch, since the site has such a limited member database to begin with. Many, many of the profiles are obviously fake... profile descriptors that do not match pictures, as well as profiles with clearly fake pictures, overtly obvious content that uses classic scam language such as ridiculous misspellings, and profiles barely filled with any verifiable or genuine bios.

My favorite BBWCUPID Customer Service response: " Our fraud prevention team works 24/7 to remove non-genuine profiles. If you would like to report a suspicious profile, please submit a ‘report abuse' form or contact us at www.bbwcupid.com/en/help/helpdesk"

Two comments about that. 1.) I highly doubt your "fraud prevention team works 24/7." If so, they could easily batch delete all of the bs profiles since the fake ones clearly outnumber the legitimate profiles.
2.) Unless you only have two associates in the fraud prevention department, there are hardly enough overall profiles on the site to justify a full team.

LIMITED USER DATABASE: Same user "matches" over-and-over, despite entering new and different criteria. As mentioned previously, my assessment is that the database is so limited, the searches are desperate to find anyone to fill your parameters, even if those parameters are exceptionally broad and flexible.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT OF BBWCUPID: 1/5. In my opinion, there is much more risk than benefit to upgrading your membership. The same members since I joined as a free member over two years ago. The site is expensive with no value added or incentives to join. It seems like every potentiallty legitimate member refuses to upgrade, probably for the same reasons I have listed. That results in an inability to connect with members since messages are blocked until someone upgrades. Clearly, the site's administrative posture and philosophy is one of intransigence and poor business acumen. As a consumer, do what you want, but I am definitely not upgrading on the hope that BBWCUPID will improve, since they have shown no desire to improve after years of operations.

In conclusion, I recommend against paying money to upgrade your membership on BBWCUPID. Do yourself a favor to avoid endless annoyances, frustration, and canned platitudes from the site administration.

I came on the site hoping to connect with people who wanted a relationship but received so many emails just for hookups (even though I specifically said no hookups/fwb) and there was no way to filter them! I'm in Canada and getting messages from all over the world! How does that help me? There's no way to choose who can message me or prevent creeps from having access to me. This is a profoundly unsafe site. Even their reporting function is useless! I have to email them to report someone? I told two guys I wasnt interested and they were rude and used foul language. Their response was to give me an incident report And to tell me to block them. Duh! I figured that out on my own. Women need more to be safe on an online dating site. This is clearly a male-centred, sex-centred and misogynistic site. Even more, it is such a user-unfriendly site. They're getting a poor review from me everywhere I can make one.

Update:
They have now confirmed they will not give me a refund even though I have not made any matches and am not using their site. Just opening an email is enough for them to refuse to refund you. SCAM!

Update: they finally gave me a full refund after I threatened to report them to the authorities.

And when unsubscribing from sites your private information gets sold to various other sites that use the previous spam site just to continue to filter the same spam material that you're told through unsubscribing that you have to wait a certain period of time before unsubscribe is put through. At this point I don't care which site sent what. No one has any right to a person's private gmail unless we are granted access to personal private gmail accounts so we as account holders can sit up late into the night spamming their private gmail accounts. Create a do not contact list. And place gmail accounts on them as soon as they contact pillars. It not the responsibility of separate individuals to deal with massive pillering accounts that refuse to relinquish personal and private information. Just to push fake products and scam sites through to gmail accounts. We as gmail holders realize google doesn't check sites to see if they are legitimate. The only benefit from google not checking means that scam site owners and employees receive spam gmails too Have a good one

I never subscribe to the philing dating site. And I still receive their hard up and desperate gmails without any physical or legitimate way to unsubscribe. Fix faulty unsubscribe link(s) that obviously aren't meant to work. Or stop spamming random gmail accounts. Or I will report you to the better business bureau

I found that most of the guys that contacted me on this site were very pushy to text using my real phone number or other platform instead of trying to get to know me a little first. I was VERY clear I was interested in LTR only - not hookups, but I suspect most men on there only care about casual hookups. Huge turn off for me. It was a gross experience for me. Another experience where a bigger woman is being taken advantage of or not being respected for who she is. Very sad.
