BandCamp service can be a great option especially if one prefers downloads to physical media. Hat said it can be a rather poor option for physical media as many musicians shift to a pre-order model. Significant delays do occur, damaged media is provided, or none at all. BandCamp does not resolve issues but refers you to the musician's label. For the most part requests to resolve problems are met with total silence. Another side to this is it is rather difficult to contact the record label or musician through the BandCamp website or app. As they say Caveat Emptor. I no longer use or support their service.

Such a wasted opportunity
November 24, 2020

Bandcamp has a lot going for it - pays out a reasonable share of the profits to the artists and offers a reasonably fast platform that is easy on the eyes.

But there are things that I'm somewhat sure haven't always been this bad:
- Instead of being able to easily browse one's library, they use one of those idiotic neverending lists. Really great if you've purchased hundreds of things and are looking for something that you bought a few years ago and can't remember its precise name.
- No ability to download albums straight from the album page. Instead, you have to go to your library and use the tiny "download" link. They obviously want people to stream more. Why is beyond me, since they don't even offer a player that can repeat or queue things.
- No way to contact customer support.
- Bad discoverability - there should be a "radio" feature but there isn't one.

They are nothing but thieves. They started making my balance negative last week and today i tried to log in they said they didn't recognize me. And their support is not answering.

A friend posted on Facebook that her father released an album on Bandcamp. I had never used the service before but I wanted to support my friend and her father. From my Apple iPhone I went to the website and made the purchase. Only AFTER the purchase went through did the site inform me that downloads were not available for Apple iPhone. WTH! That is useful information BEFORE I make the purchase. It really pisses me off when business purposefully deceive or withhold information just to make a sale. It is complete BS. I had to then set up an account, which means they are no doubt selling my personal information to third party vendors. I then went to the "Help Center" in order to write an email to the company. Of course, they do not list any email addresses, nor phone numbers, no any other way to contact the company directly. Just another online company that does NOTHING in the form of customer support. Absolutely the LAST TIME I WILL EVER USE THIS COMPANY.

Traveling is strange. It can be for fun or because it's necessary. No matter the reasons for your travel, though, advice on how best to benefit from a good travel experience is always welcome. This article has much to offer you in terms of improving your travel experience.

When traveling out of the country, it is advisable to drink only bottled water. This is especially important in countries where the quality of their tap water may be questionable. It's better to possibly pay a bit more and be safe than risk getting sick because of contaminated tap water.

If your personal vehicle is more than a few years old and you will be taking a road trip, consider renting a car for the journey. You will ensure that the car you drive is mechanically sound as well as possibly renting a car that gets better gas mileage than your own.

If you have a laptop, bring an A/V cable with you on your trip. Most hotel rooms come equipped with a television, and many now include free wireless internet as well. By hooking your laptop up to the hotel television with an A/V cable you instantly have access to many more entertainment options, whether streaming a movie from the internet to using the laptop as a DVD player.

Road trips are fun but at the end of each day of driving you want to just relax so choose a hotel that is near restaurants or has room service. You can call ahead where you plan to stop and ask the hotels what food options are available nearby.

Almost everyone finds a reason to travel at one point or another. When you learn about travel ahead of time, the travel experience will be less stressful, more economical and more enjoyable as well. The tips above may help you reap those benefits and become a savvy traveler.

Beware anyone using this site. You may have had a recurring monthly payment set up without your knowledge! Swim has had multiple deductions from his bank account unbeknownst to him, cause serious financial issues due to a fixed income. Who's running this site!? This is not at all right!

This website seems to be more oriented towards and filled with indie artists. Electronic/rap seems to garnish more attention on Soundcloud.
Cool that you can set your own pricing, which a site like soundcloud doesn't allow for. So it does have it's pros.

Only giving the second star because support is great. Even after converting my songs many times, I still could not upload them, because they were not 'lossless'. All of that energy to sign up and get started for the last step of the process to not work :)

Great form of support to your favourite artists. You can donate and buy their tracks with ease. Very popular among indie artists.

I've been a long time user of Bandcamp. It has been a great website for me to find artists I wouldn't have heard of through other means. The service they offer is great for music lovers since they provide their releases in a variety of formats including FLAC, meaning audiophiles are certainly going to take advantage of the lossless format for their music. There is a wide variety of genres represented on the website and a lot of independent artists are putting their music up on the platform. It is easy to navigate, making a payment is pretty easy, and you can download all of the music you purchase indefinitely. I've had a few artists pull their music from the website for one reason or another, but Bandcamp still gives you the ability to download that music since you paid for.

Handy for buying music and to feel good for support artists. However I do not like the way they add taxes on top of the actual price as you only see the taxes after you've already decided to make the purchase. Works this way in Finland at least. Mostly a good service and does have plenty of free downloads and demo bands too.

I've only used it as a buyer. It's great to find new artists and better than licensing your songs to Spotify or Apple. The UX could improve, especially the music player, which is ugly.

Their fees are not super cheap but it's still a very good platform for most aspiring musicians along with Soundcould.
