Ms Stephanie from the customer service team is excellent, in my 65years of life I have NEVER experienced the customer care I received. She made me feel like she really cared and was truly trying to solve the issue (which she did). I would have loved to have someone like her working at my business.

I was EXTREMELY frustrated and upset about problems I was having with the website, trying to submit for acting roles. Also frustrated by not having a help contact number to talk to a real person.
The person on the chat line was kind enough to personally call me at my request, as it appeared to be a complicated issue. She helped me, though I still have reservations about the same problems reoccurring with the system, through no fault of my own. The problems seems to be with a 'pop-up' which appears to paid subscribers after they hit the 'Apply" icon for the role. This then very often blocks entry to the rest of the profile for the submission process. The pop-up is designed to block non-subscribers, but it often blocks all the paid subscribers also.
At any rate, Stephanie was very polite and patient with me, and knowledgeable. She stayed with me until the system began working for me again. I appreciate her. She should be commended. Thank you. George Harvey Dabling, Actor
I have gotten a few jobs from Backstage, but definitely not enough to warrant paying the same fee as those in a larger market. However, I have been able to grow my resume a little from the jobs I've booked. I think if a person lives in an area outside of LA, NY, ATL, they should pay much less because they are definitely going to get many, many less opportunities and almost NO RETURN at all. Fortunately we have hooked up with an Agent in LA and NY and I've learned from them as well as many industry workshops, that not many individuals use Backstage as a primary tool for booking talent. I say if you use Backstage, just know this is more of an industry resource and not a way to be discovered in the industry.

I'm a member of every popular actors' website, but Backstage is by far my favorite. It's the easiest to navigate, and has the best resources for finding casting directors, agents, managers, and auditions. No other website I use has huge searchable lists of casting directors and agents with their contact information and current projects! Also the price is very reasonable, and it doesn't charge you every time to update your reel or photos (looking at you, Actors Access and LAcasting). Also when I have any questions the staff gets back to me super quickly and efficiently. I loved that the submission emails could be very specific searches too, so I would only get emails for parts I would actually submit to. Actors Access and LAcasting were sending me constant emails for unpaid music video background parts. Backstage is far superior and I always recommend it to my actor friends.

Today, I was previlaged to chat with one of the backstage customer cares. I was well directed on how to find the answers to my multiple questions concerning acting. For me, no complains. What is most appealing is that there's plenty of advice on the filming grounds. I loved it.
The people at backstage our wonderful and give good tips and advice when trying to find new casting calls I defiantly would recommend

Seems geared toward the beginner or those willing to work for free. Little value to the working or semi working professional. Further, in an industry clearly defined by Union, Non, Theatre, Film, TV, Commercial, etc., this site is awfully vague and offers little in the way of filtering unwanted material.
