Great connection and service attitude!
August 20, 2016

I got connected to AT&T network in one of the stores in NYC. The plan was very affordable - 45$ per months and everything was included!
Internet speed was amazing. I have never used AT&T before, but store consultant (forgot her name) told me a lot about its perks. Best mobile operator I have worked with so far.

Plenti points and AT&T
June 13, 2016

I signed up for Plenti points - a rewards program -
At&t is one of the companies that gives points.
I called At&t they say that I will receive points with my monthly cell phone bill - on auto pay - that cost is about $170 per month.- I linked Plenti with my AT&T
I remembered the other day and checked with AT&T and they said no - I have to check Plenti for their
"Offers" and then pay AT&T's bill then can get the points. That was not what AT&T said in the beginning. So know I have to check Plenti each month for their offers and then pay my AT&T bill - which means I have to take off auto-pay. Life is just too busy to hassle with. So check again and again
Even if someone in a company's customer service
Says yes does not mean they are correct - but surprised it was AT&T... I left a lot of points on the table with their company's customer service misinformation.

Poor Service
May 12, 2016

I am a new account holder I have tried to get my front security camera repaired. A technician came apparently did a repair for over 3 hours. The same day the camera stopped working again. I called back and was told I would have to wait 3 weeks for another technician to come back. I am paying $100 a month for something that does not work.

If you have att uverse and qualify for the lifeline discount and arent getting it from att it is because they are lying to you. Other VOIP providers offer this discount. ATT just wants to make more money. You will also need to review your bill each month as they tend to overbill to see if they can get away with it. They try and shuffle you from csr to csr so that you will give up and leave them alone. I have spent hours on hold and being shuffled around while I was a customer. Same thing with their wireless division if you use a prepaid service you will only get about 40% of the time you pay for and that is intentional. You can file a complaint with the FCC and FTC against them and it will help and get action from ATT I do advise doing this when you have a problem with them. Currently they are under investigation by the FCC and the Department of Justice Civile rights Division for their practices I advise staying away from them if possible

Apple is better
April 5, 2016

I had an AT&T phone when I was a kid, and I have to say that I like Apple much better. The annoying things about the phone include the low battery life, and the inaccessibility to the Internet. Don't buy an AT&T phone, but an iPhone instead.

AT&T Cell phone service sucks!
March 19, 2016

The cell phone service sucks. Not enough LTE network available. Hard to get LTE network when in some subway tunnels. Also hard to get LTE network in some buildings. The LTE network is not that fast. I had an unlimited data plan. After going over a certain amount of data. AT&T would slow me down to the point where my cell phone was useless. Don't choose AT&T as your cell phone carrier.

Still not happy
February 16, 2016

I was subject to forced migration from DSL to Uverse. These folks did not notify me, and one day I just discovered I was cut off from Internet service. I was so angry and who of course can fight AT&T. I contacted the BBB got an immediate response from AT&T, so they gave me credit for being forced to take Uverse without notice. But still there is a problem, I got charged a full month of service for three days on my billing, have tried to correct this issue and have received no response. If you want to get past the first line of operators that don’t know anything or don’t speak English as their first language, ask for the retention department. So why do I use AT&T, because I will never do business with cable companies, and there is nothing else in the area where I live, I’m waiting for Google Fiber.

Really disappointed
February 13, 2016

AT&T discontinue service saying that you have violated the rules though there is no violation. On 11th Jan '16, they said, "You should not call two person at a same time" also they haven't provided any number for the same. Today, they are saying, they've informed me the reason and the reason was same but they didn't give the number, now they are giving me the particular number and reason. Really disappointed and two faced of AT&T.

Punk thug MF BS bait&switch dangle&snatch
February 11, 2016

I compared prices on make your own bundle offers. Except I didnt. 15 years a customer, I was only able to see what the offer was on 1 bundle before the navigation went hincky. I saved, to try the next day.The notice appeared at a random place on the page that offers might not be available for saved bundled at a later time. A retry the next day, and it kept pushing me into direct tv that I didnt want, even when I had been supposedly sent to the u-verse bundle page. I was locked out.
There was the call us page as the only page that would be displayed, along with a chat with us. After a 20 minute wait, and being told the chatter was a sales rep only, wrong dept, I was sent to a different department. During the wait i wrote a WTF is this BS set of messages rather than sit on it. 6 minutes later actual human contact. 12 minutes later the 2 4digit numbers I wanted to have to compare. They yanked $100 off the previous bonus and tacked on $17 more per month."Purchase NOW or PERISH, fool." marketing on the previous nights offer. And a courteous "For security purposes your chat will be disconnected in 5 minutes" pop up, with a continue button. They blocked the chat session from being copied. When I pressed continue the chat window disappeared, and the page kept trying to go to a "referral" page, but stayed stuck with the spinning wheel of buffering on a permanent, infinite loop.
Dirtbag punk goon mouthbreathing scum lickers.
There is no email to customer service. Phone only. They want hands-on strongarm bait and switch browbeating fast talking venue, not you thinking things over before making a major decision. Dont trust them, or anyone who wont take no for an answer.

Never had a problem with their wireless.
February 9, 2016

I have had AT&T wireless for years now, all the way back when it was still Cingular wireless. I have never had a problem with them. Compared to a few of my friends, my bill is a little higher, but I am happy with my service and I am fine with paying a little more for it. The few times I had issues, like when a phone was broken, or a phone was stolen, they were very helpful. Every time I have been in the store I have had excellent service. The sales people have always been good with explaining things in detail to me, and helping me find the best phone and plan for my situation. I am a very skeptical person, especially with sales people, but I have never felt like I was being pushed into a sale here. I have had other carriers in the past that I was not happy with. I have nothing but good things to say about AT&T wireless.

An acquaintance had paid me cash to pay his phone bill with my card a few times. We had a routine that ensured safety and trustworthiness for both of us. I would not save my card info in the account and left a message with AT&T notes that it should only be used when manually inputted by the customer. Let me just emphasize that we were thorough and we both know for fact that neither of us did anything wrong.

One time after payment I saw on my bank statement that AT&T had double-charged me. I know it was a double charge because it was the exact same amount with change and happened at the same time, 1AM.

I called them only 2 days after the transaction when I had noticed this and explained the situation. They said it should not take more than 48 hours to refund me. I look back a week later and the charge had not returned, so I called again.

This time they said there was nothing to refund because they used the money. I asked them why they would use my money instead of giving it back to me, and they just said "I don't know, it was just used." I insisted to speak to a manager and file a fraud complaint that their company had stole from me, but they kept saying they weren't allowed to speak to a manager. I was passed around to a few low level employees where nobody had any power so they could bull$#*! with me as if they were actually getting me to someone in power.

I could not even have them leave a complaint that I would never shop with them and would recommend everyone against AT&T. I have an amazing phone company with the cheapest most innovative technology and service around called Republic Wireless. I worked at Best Buy for a year. I told AT&T that they would potentially lose HUNDREDS of customers because of me. I routinely told this story in warning to others again and again and it made a real impact.

AT&T stole from me. I could have sued them in small claims court (it was under $250 thankfully). Let that sink into your head real good. A company committed FRAUD and none of their employees cared to have the courage to actually help me. I say courage because I worked in customer service 3 years and I damn well have the courage to do the right thing.

Fail to fix major issue in 49256!
January 12, 2016

Our town and many others around us have been with zero service since Saturday morning! We can't even call into them! Their online support is telling us they are showing zero outages and it must be our devices! Really?! You have a good 4 dozen different complaints from other people in my town! But must be all our devices!

Unimpressed with customer service
December 28, 2015

While our internet connection is generally strong... it took forever to setup the both times we went with AT&T. Their phone support is generally unhelpful and we had to jump through way too many hoops to get what we were told we were paying for in the first place. Is google fiber here yet?

One would think that a company with such a stellar past performance as the nation's telephone system would be able to manage a digital network. It's true that they are hampered by an old physical infrastructure designed for analog telephones, but that should still be a step ahead of carriers who have to build everything from scratch. And there is NO excuse for the miserable management that prevents their own employees from doing a decent job.

First, lets start with a fact about their "U-Verse" fiber network: Its not fiber except for some of the backbone. Customers are connected with copper cables. They promise multi-megabit bandwidth to the customer, but their backbone is badly overloaded. Most internet connections are bogged down so badly that many times they time out. The browser may report "URL not found" until you try a second or third time. Streaming videos (i. E., Netflix) will pause until enough data is received to continue, causing annoying breaks every few minutes.

Next, if the poor performance wasn't bad enough, its a world ahead of NO performance. On average, I lose ALL internet service for about 24 hours out of every week. Sometimes I get a notice online that they are about to do some repair or maintenance, and will be out of service for about 15 minutes/ "About 15 minutes" really means until the next day, and usually requires a call to their "customer service". That call is ALWAYS frustrating because "customer service" is apparently staffed by Asian high school students trained to follow an exact script. Nevermind that the same problem has occurred repeatedly and is always found to be a configuration error in their network, they *always* tell you the problem "must" be something you did in your home. Nevermind that on each of those prior occasions, they sent an AT&T tech to the house who found absolutely nothing wrong. Nevermind that service is mysteriously restored after someone finally calls the core network group who insist there are no problems with the network... Uhuh... If we are to believe customer service or the field technicians, they cannot contact the core network group to find out what they did to restore service. Against the rules.

Finally, there is the whole contract thing and the AT&T acquisition of DirecTV to offer a bundled service. The "bundle" consists of an AT&T contract for internet, and a **separate** contract with DirecTV for television. AT&T installed their cable, and DirecTV was to show up two weeks later. Except they didn't show up and the tech lied and said he was onsite. So I called, and they got a tech to actually show up. Then they said my location couldn't receive satellite signals. Another lie - I ended up calling DISH network, who installed their satellite service the next day. DirecTV cancelled their contract, but I was stuck with AT&T because *that* was separate! Adding insult to injury, this makes AT&T even higher priced, and it was already the most costly.

AT&T does ONE thing right as far as I can tell: they make a point of grading their field service based on customer reviews. The result is that the field service people do everything possible to help the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Unfortunately, since the real problems are in the backbone core network, and the field service are not allowed to contact the group responsible, there is little they can do to improve the abysmal service.

It is particularly galling that I cannot get honest answers from AT&T. I have spent 30+ years as a technical consultant to our government and a few allied nations, focused mainly on network communications. I have been the chief troubleshooter for several global networks and can diagnose many problems with a little factual data. But AT&T hides behind glossy marketing fluff and false promises. Instead of fixing problems, they merely deny them. I should have expected that their commercial service would be no different than their government service, with which I am all too familiar.

BOTTOM LINE: If you have a choice, choose another network provider. No matter how good the promises made by AT&T sound to you, know that you will be sorry if you sign any contract.

Next plan is a scam
August 24, 2015

I know that AT and T will do nothing about this as they don't care and are too big to care. I have been with ATT / cingular since 1995. Just google the word ATT ripoff and see all that pops up. According to ATT all the companies are doing this so f course that makes it right!

I am eligible for an upgrade for 3 family plan phones. I chose the 2 year contract and was shown an absolutely free phone (note 4) online. Then I was told that by upgrading I would lose my $75.00 total credit per month. So in 2 years using the next plan, I would lose a total of 1800. 00 or 600.00 for each FREE phone. They want everyone to be on the next plan as this is how they make money but what they say is that some people don't like contracts. (I do)

I was told by sales online that if I pay 1958. 00 and buy the phones outright I would keep my credit of 75.00 per month (this is paying 150.00 more? Than with the next plan).

This system is not much different than all the money being made by car dealers with 7 year car loans.

AT and T does not learn its lesson well. They had roll over, took it away, then years later brought it back. They had unlimited data, made us buy blocks of data, and now are giving huge date packages for little money. So eventually AT and T will go back to giving a choice of contract or no contract which it does not have at the moment essentially.

Are Americans really this stupid? I think so if they fall for the next plan without doing homework.

(I believe last year or the year before, ATT was giving either a 15 or 25 dollar credit per month to those people who upgraded their data plan depending on what plan you got. I upgraded from 10 gigs to 20 gigs and was given a 25.00 credit per phone per month. That is 75.00 per month. This credit has been confirmed on several web sites. The employee at the store showed me the credit on my bill when trying to explain the next plan to me.)

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM after describing the many mail & e mail offers, I finally called only to have another hard hit on my credit score and then told I would need a $400 for the 1st phone, I have 3 lines with Verizon but am not too happy anymore after 7 years with them. Also would need $300 for each additional phone. What a joke, I have good credit have not been late not once with my Verizon payment. From now on all emails will be marked spam and any mail will go straight in the trash. By the way I know the pre-approved offer doesn't mean that I am approved, but why do many offers with these ridiculous deposit amounts. They must think I have stupid written on my forehead. What a joke. Not sure anymore which wireless phone company is the worst anymore, either no coverage after driving 20 miles out of town, ridiculous deposits, ridiculous 14 day return policy, no 1 truly knows if they like the phone in that time period. After going to my parents home 45 miles away lost service after 20 minutes, not enough memory, too many stupid pre-installed apps that I have to force closes constantly. I thought that way back in the day of the track phone, was bad because whether a person answered or not it took you points, HORRIBLE but some of these cell phone company's are just as bad, if possible.
