They lie when they say not extra fees! They take your money and then keep adding new charges. What good is a book you can not afford markets. My revenge on a $9.00 book was $.35. Yes, I said 35 cents.
This agency started out seeming experienced, knowledgeable and professional, but about 4-5 months in there were shifts such as email address changes, their many oversights of content in emails exchanged, shorted me on illustrations, never gave me a book cover for final approval.
I had been told my deadline desire could be met but then conveniently around that deadline time, the person I had been working with was allegedly in a bad accident. Then my experience was about two more months of work with someone who didn't seem to take a look at the project history and communications and who did not adhere to the agency's own turnaround time expectations that were provided to me in email.
I had paid for additional services as the project was supposed to be nearing finalization as there is preparation for launching a product. Examples of what I initially observed in the proposed for final print that they sent me: There was no cover, they had my name wrong, copyright year was wrong, they didn't use all the illustrations we did get done. It was not laid out in the manner in which they told me it would be.
I terminated the service agreement as a result of the many frustrations and subpar product and they said multiple times, in email they would honor the money back guarantee, but they haven't. In fact, I had to file disputes and complaints, which they have been fighting. Their website was taken down at some point, which I discovered around the time I terminated them, and they never told me Jeff Jones had parted ways - they refused to acknowledge my request when I insisted that they transfer me to Jeff after frustrations in communicating with those I had only been working with for a short time. Save yourself the headache and avoid them. I don't know where to turn to get my project down now, but it sure as heck won't be with this agency as they are behaving in what appears to be fraudulent ways. Congrats to any legit reviewers who may have gotten a decent finished product/sales out of this agency.
